    19.3 on the bike, plus a 1.15 mile walk gives me another 20.45 for the day.... I am spitting distance from goal. If my husband wasn't out on his exercise walk, I'd probably take off right now and just finish so that I can count all the rest of my mileage for the month as "bonus" miles - but oh well.. there is plenty of time to get those bonus miles.

    You quit riding with 0.5 miles to go for your goal? I'd have turned circles in the driveway or rode to the end of the block until it flipped that half mile. :bigsmile: :bigsmile: :laugh: :laugh:

    Ha - I had done my math wrong and actually thought I'd made goal, but alas... oh well - I'll get another 18-20 in tomorrow if all goes according to plan (which, I admit, NOTHING has gone according to plan this week, so not quite sure why expect tomorrow will...)

    OK guys. I guess the best part about being such a lousy bicyclist is I expect to be passed. By Everyone. Including the kiddies with training wheels on a bad day. :blushing: :laugh: As for running, well there better be something really big and scary chasing me. :devil: I do really admire those who are running,:drinker: but I have learned to accept my limits.:smile: And I can walk pretty far, so the moving is still happening. :smile:

    Added 4 miles walking yesterday. :bigsmile: June total 145.75 miles Looks like I should make GOAL today. :drinker: :drinker:

    It was dumping buckets here this morning and 54 degrees. I confess I caved and went to bed. It was perfect sleeping weather. I'll have to get on the trainer this evening but I couldn't pass up weather like that for sleeping. I slept like the dead from noon to 4:30 PM when I had to get up to go to work. It was really nice. :bigsmile: :bigsmile:

    Oh - yes - sleep, glorious sleep - I want a day that lets me sleep in. Part of why I didn't ride today is I chose that extra hour of sleep (that actually gave me a full 8 hours). I've been going to bed at 7:30 or 8 or 9 which is amazing for me - usually up until 10 or so. I'm in bed before my 10 year old kid is in bed lately!

    Great - signed off by doc for over a week (she wanted to do 2 weeks) and suggested could take 3-4 weeks for fully heal with physiotherapy. Four weeks tomorrow we are riding across France to Switzerland.

    DCMat - May you heal faster than she perdicts. Your future ride sounds lovely. You are wise to stay out of the MFP Century Plus Cycling Gourp Tour Challenge for July. Give yourself some time to heal.

    oh my..haven't updated for quite some time, been traveling like crazy for work, I try to write it down when i go for a walk or run so I don't forget, here is what I have for the last 2 weeks.

    4 mile walk. The geese were hanging out on the trail leaving quite a minefield of droppings to maneuver through. I think there are a few extra steps in there because of that :laugh:

    I almost wasn't going to post for the rest of June but decided to do it anyway to keep myself accountable even though I won't make my goal. Next month I WILL make my goal. It would help if I lowered the miles a bit, though...lol!

    So, my spin instructor was gone and his sub didn't show up after 15 minutes (again - ugh - what's with subs?!) so I stepped in and led the class again today. I'm not sure my exact mileage because I had to switch bikes to lead the class, but I'm pretty sure that I went at least 18.5 miles today.

    GOAL + bonus miles. yay!
