3100 @ 60 minutes, got talking a bit between sets. For some reason I have decided that my house needs complete cleaning, spring cleaning in Sept?, so felt it a bit in the pool today. Good news is I managed to move and maneuver my queen size bed alone. Not sure I could have done that a year ago.1

3300 in 85 minutes. Was shooting for 2 miles (3600) but ran out of time1

My swim last night was therefore a bad swim! Was a horrible day at work so came home at lunchtime and spent most of the rest of the day crying. Back on it today.

@emmab0902 - Sorry your day was so rough, hopefully you will find your way back to the pool today. I find even a not great workout, my mind is more settled after a swim workout. Hope you find that to be true too!0

Been getting in a good swim after work each night this trip so far.
4 miles the first 2. 3.2 miles (5km) last night.
Gym opens at 10am this morning. I'll be there shortly afterward.
Swimming rely does allow me to relax in my office time. No anxiety from being away from family. Such a huge help.3 -

Managed to do a really bad groin strain during the breaststroke. Never done that before. Anyone know of any tips to speed healing? It's only 19 days until the Australasian Police and Emergency Services Games0 -
3000 in 79 minutes yesterday with no more deteriorating pace...
Thank you @emmab0902 for helping me maintain perspective. I don't have any suggestions for your injury but my understanding of such things leads me to believe that rest is the best solution.0 -
A bit like weight loss, I believe that swimming improvement comes in peaks and valleys, so some days it is enough to persevere as long as the general trend is improving.

2000m solo to make up for not enough swims lately!

800 free - am swimming this in Australia in two weeks and realised I haven't swum this far in one go since 1987 so thought I'd better try lol. Did it at a comfortable 12.00 so that's OK. Bloody boring though - I take my hat off to you distance gurus!

Only 20 laps today. Water was unusually hot. Felt hot going in. Even hotter sticking my head out.
Got out and went to lift weights instead. Hopefully it cools down tomorrow.1 -

Rested last night.
Muggy here. Get soaked riding to and from the office.
Almost feels pointless showering after swimming because I put in the sweaty clothes I got to the gym wearing1 -

6500 yards. Just shy of 4 miles.
4 slow guys doing breast stroke crowded the 'fast' lane.
But I had the lane to myself for about half my swim.1 -
