From our weekend in Charleston--
We went to a Belgian gelato shop. I was interested to know what the difference is because we saw both Italian and Belgian gelato everywhere. But as far as I can tell (someone correct me if I'm wrong) it's just something they made up in Charleston. It says it's "inspired by Belgian chocolate flavors." Anyway Mr. Acrylics had chocolate peanut butter with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle and I had the sea salt caramel with whipped cream. I intended to have something called Bon Bon Praline but I sampled the caramel and then had to have that one.
Also I didn't notice until after I ordered but they had those waffle gelato sundaes like Jen keeps posting. If we go back there I might have to try that. As it was I was over calories for the day.0 -
In honor of the Superbowl today, I picked up Turkey Hill Touchdown Sundae at Shoprite today. It was really good.
These aren't my pictures, but I wanted to share anyway, lol...

You're killing me, lol.
But yeah, I love sundaes in waffle bowls. Always 150 extra calories of extra goodness in the end.0 -

This morning I bought Turkey Hill's Party Cake, and Chocolate Marshmallow frozen yogurt, just for a lower calorie option at home. I always passed up Party Cake because I thought it was just like the birthday cake ice cream I've had before that was just ok, but then Turkey Hill posted a picture on their FB page and I realized it has actual cake pieces in it. Then I read on the carton that there's also buttercream frosting! I'll be having a spoonful after the gym tonight, because I can't wait til the weekend to try it.
Not my picture, but I'll probably take one.
I'm going to have to see if my Kroger has that flavor because it sounds really good! I got the Whoopie Pie a few weeks ago (because of your recommendation) and also Chocolate Marshmallow for my husband. I really enjoyed both of them.
I'm currently working my way through a carton of Edy's Slow-churned French Silk. I had some with whipped cream and cashews on it last night.
My Party Cake didn't really look anything like the picture, but it was delicious. Something was a little crunchy, I couldn't tell if it was the frosting or the cake, but I would definitely get it again.
The Chocolate Marshmallow was good, too! It was nice and marshmallowy.0 -

We were going to go to get gelato before bell practice last night, so I skipped the rice at the chinese restaurant to make room. But, we forgot the gelato place is closed Mondays.
I haz the sad...

Oh Amber that looks so good! Get the waffle one next time
Looks like I missed lots of good stuff, I've been eating lots of italian ice lately it feels good on my throat, but will be digging into the Talenti I have soon.0 -
Light base. Lots of mix ins. Not bad at all for 170 calories per serving.0 -

No it's the first Turkey Hill I buy actually (it was on sale). I mean, it's a letdown compared to that local ice cream I bought on Saturday, but the calories are probably way less, so I can't really complain (and the other doesn't have nutrition info anyway and it bothers me!).
The only thing is that the chocolate base isn't very strong, to be honest if I had a chocolate craving I'm not sure it would actually hit the spot, which is a bit odd for chocolate ice cream.0 -

Hmmm, I don't remember it being a light base. I bought that last year when I couldn't find Whoopie Pie. It wasn't my favorite, but I liked it enough to eat the whole container. Not all at the same time!0 -

Snagged both the Speculoos cookie butter core and the Chocolate cookie core B&J at Target. Reviews to follow later tonight but my first impression was favorable.0

Whoo! Can't wait to hear how you like them. I'll have to check my local Target this weekend.0 -
I really liked this. It's the best so far of the Core series I've tried. Most of them I like just one or two elements but disliked others. I liked all the elements here. There are two flavors of ice cream-- vanilla and caramel. Then there are crunchy biscoff cookie pieces and of course the cookie butter core. I liked the vanilla base. The caramel base could have used more caramel flavor if that's the flavor they wanted to go for-- as it was it didn't seem much different from the vanilla for me. I loved the crunchy cookie pieces and the cookie butter core was very good. As for how it stacked up to the Trader Joe's version-- TJ puts more cookie butter in theirs but it doesn't have cookie pieces. I think I remember it being less calories, which isn't surprising. B&J version will run you 290 per 100 grams.0 -
That cookie butter ice cream sounds yummy! I've got to restock the freezer. Need to find more pumpkin pie Talenti and the cookie butter.0

Been super busy for the past week or so - no or very little time for MFP. Gratified and impressed by all the good stuff going on in this group!0

I haven't seen the Pumpkin Pie for awhile. Giant still has the Peppermint Bark (yuck) & Egg Nog.

I found it at Target. I haven't seen it anywhere else yet. Usually Publix is the first place to get new B&J around here, but not this time.0 -

Of course it's Target, the one store I hate going to around here. Guess next time I'm out that way I'll have to check0 -

I can't believe you found it. Awesome. Unfortunately in still searching.
I also found the Cookie Butter at Target today & had to buy their store brand of S'Mores.
If they would've had the Peanut Buttah Core I would've bought that one, but I didn't notice it unless I overlooked while I was scanning.0 -

I didn't see that one either. They had the chocolate mocha one though so I got that also. I'm interested to hear how the s'mores is.0 -
So I ended up with a 7 dollar pint of pumpkin pie Talenti and a brand called Cadia in a Panna cotta caramel flavor. Going to find a target tomorrow for the cookie butter flavor.0
