That looks good! I love that you have the group up on your computer screen behind it :)

Well, I needed an appropriate background, and since the main boards were so infuriating yesterday...

Well the Pop thread was a fun one while it lasted

Bought some Steve's Southern Banana Pudding, Ciao Bella Bourbon Caramel Chocolate, and Blue Bell Happy Tracks (their version of Bunny Tracks). Reviews to follow as the week progresses, but not tonight because I don't have enough calories.

Okay I ended up with enough calories to try the Happy Tracks. It's very good. Generous mix-ins, large peanut butter cups, good vanilla base, decent calorie count (210).

I miss bunny tracks from before they changed the formula and I've tried several of the versions put out by other brands-- this one is my favorite so far.

I'm finally catching up. Congratulations, ninkyou!!!

I'm expanding my Turkey Hill horizons and got chocolate peanut butter cup. It's almost like eating a melty Reese's. Like. Yum.

In San Antonio for a gaming convention, and we started the night at a brew pub and then over to freddy's for some frozen custard.

I went with the apple pie concrete.

This is maybe a word of warning (or a common experience for others); or maybe just looking for a little empathy. As I posted on Sunday, I grabbed a lovely half gallon of Tillamook Marionberry Pie ice cream.

    tncezusaf9vh.jpg

It was very tasty - very much evoking memories of Marionberry pies around Thanksgiving time.

Apparently my 16 yo son enjoys it. My wife admits to a couple of small bowls. I had one bowl (less than a serving). One daughter admits to a bowl or two (the other is off at practice). When daughter one went to get some tonight, this is what she found.

    ilr518qbfh7a.jpg

This is trademark my son. (And for those of you with teens, you'll recognize the dastardly "there's still some left, so I can't be accused of eating it all and I don't have to clean out the carton / deal with it.")

This ice cream is a double-edged sword for me -- I like it, but *unfortunately* apparently everyone else in the house does, too. A whole half gallon, and I got about 80 grams. :'( Can anyone out there feel my anguish? :'(

Inorite? I am a crabby butt tonight.

Well at least it's not when YOU went to get some that you realized it was gone. I guess.

Now I'm wondering about that...I have 10, 15, and 25 pound dumbbells and am in need of some to fit in between them for some lifts. For example, dumbbell press is too easy with the 10s, too heavy with the 15s....maybe some Delooshus DIY is in order?

Same here. Really wish I had bought dumbbells that go in 2.5 pound intervals. Totally stuck with about everything so I'm just doing more reps :(

I have some 3 pound (each) ankle weights, I'm thinking of rigging them up to attach to my dumbbells because I'm a weirdo. I suppose for the press I could wear them on my wrists, then I'd be pressing 13 instead of 10, and I could try 18 pounds each for the bent over rows......

I'm also running out of plates for my deadlift. We have more plates around here somewhere....but this weight set was last used by my husband in the early 90s, so who knows where they are. (And, yes, we've moved 6 times since then. With the weight set. That didn't get used. Sigh.)

I want to cry right now. In the new "Craving Ice Cream" thread, someone just posted this:
I use vape pens with nicotine free juice to curb dessert cravings. Right now one pen is full of Peach pie (AMAZING) and the other filled with vanilla custard flavored vape juice. I just drink hot green tea while I vape that way my stomach gets fuller and fuller while I keep taking in the dessert flavor, its incredibly satisfying and 0 cals.

Anyway on a happier note: Steve's Southern Banana Pudding

This is really really good. It's by far my favorite Steve's flavor so far. But I still have the same problem that I've had with the rest of Steve's-- the base is really hard and the mix-ins are pretty scant. I let it sit out a bit and that helped the first one. It could have used more vanilla wafers. But overall it's excellent. Would buy and eat again.

That sucks! When I was younger I used to be a digger & try to get a lot of the Cookie Dough pieces.

That flavor is literally the absolute best banana ice cream or gelato I've ever had. I had to fight the urge to run grab the whole pint, turn it into a banana milkshake and drink it all.

It was excellent. I think I might be getting too picky.

So I've decided butter pecan is awesome.I had to let it melt a few minutes for best results. It took from the 18th to today to finish the 1.75 quarts of Tillamook. Going to search for some of that banana from above.

Kruggeri was surely having a little fun with me here with regards to my view that Jeni's Whiskey & Pecans was a bit too subtle on the whiskey flavor:

Jeni's Whiskey & Pecan: Very subtle whiskey flavor - a little too subtle for me, I think. I think I'd like stronger whiskey. The pecans are delightful and plentiful. I only had 40 grams, so I am going to keep an eye on whiskey subtlety throughout the pint. Very nice consistency on the ice cream itself.

Sounds like you're going to have to make a whiskey float with this one!

Ahhh - but don't put ideas in my head. My wife had a bit more of the Jeni's (yes!!) and I decided to as well. But this time, I gave it a very light bath in some Maker's Mark Bourbon.

    kzdczys2morn.jpg

Good, but probably ice cream abuse for an expensive ice cream. My little bath sometimes overpowered the overall flavor (when scooping up a little bit of rapidly melting ice cream / whiskey mix with a crunchy pecan!) so I am not calling it a success even though I enjoyed it. Now thinking about a small iced Irish coffee with a small scoop of Jeni's - but that sounds like a lot of work, so I will probably just end up enjoying the rest of the pint as is.

The Talenti Apple Pie is pretty good. It has a nice cinnamon flavor & a decent amount of graham crust mix-ins.

The Peppermint Bark I was pretty meh about. It wasn't bad, but not one of my favorite flavors.

The apple pie was okay, not one of my favorites but it had decent flavor. I hated the peppermint bark.

I didn't like the apple pie-- I found the apple pieces to have an odd texture.
