Then I read on the carton that there's also buttercream frosting! I'll be having a spoonful after the gym tonight, because I can't wait til the weekend to try it.
Not my picture, but I'll probably take one.

Do you have Blue Bunny near you? They had a Wedding Cake flavor that I haven't been able to find since I got it, and that had buttercream frosting in it. Also their Carrot Cake was really good, and even had pretty good macros, but I haven't been able to find that one again, either.

We have Blue Bunny but only boring flavors. I'll look for the wedding cake but I won't hold my breath. Been meaning to make ice cream again anyway.0 -

I still haven't gotten an ice cream maker. I should've asked for one for Christmas. Duh. I'll be curious to hear how it turns out! And yeah, what's with the eye patch again?

I restocked my freezer with ice cream today.
I picked up a pint of Baskin Robbins Gold Medal Ribbon ... which is my all time favorite flavor, taking me back to my childhood. We don't really have Baskin Robbins where I live, but growing up in California, that was THE ice cream place to go to.
And it's every bit as good as I remember.
That was a good flavor back when I was a kid. My all time B-R favorite is Chocolate Peanut Butter. With the huge pieces of peanut butter in there? Oh how I loved that.
Also their baseball cap sundaes in the summer time were awesome!
OMG yes, I remember the baseball caps!! And they always had those clown cones too!How good is Baskin Robbins? I found pints in stores actually and there's a store not far from here...
They're good! Definitely try it, for the experience if nothing else. Store is better, IMO, but the pints are good if this Gold Medal Ribbon is any indication.

I can't remember if I've ever tried that one? Once I get more freezer space I'll have to try that one.0 -

I totally forgot about the clown cones! I remember I loved their ice cream cakes, which had actual cake and ice cream not the crumbly stuff that DQ uses...0 -

I'm going to have to see if my Kroger has that flavor because it sounds really good! I got the Whoopie Pie a few weeks ago (because of your recommendation) and also Chocolate Marshmallow for my husband. I really enjoyed both of them.
I'm currently working my way through a carton of Edy's Slow-churned French Silk. I had some with whipped cream and cashews on it last night.0 -

Fried banana with coconut ice cream!
Edit I see in the other thread that you are no longer a coconut fan My Thai meals don't seem complete without a little coconut ice cream.0 -
Anyone know of any must-try restaurants in Charleston, SC? Headed up there tomorrow and planning to visit the Cupcake bakery:

@MrM - FWIW, I am not a big fan of Pad Thai -- I think the noodles make the dish too heavy and somehow dilute the experience (especially unexceptional pad thai). For your next rodeo, I'd try to find a dish that appeals that is just meat / veggies / sauce, and leaven it with whatever amount of rice turns your fancy. I really, really enjoy Thai food, but will basically pass on pad thai if, for example, it is one of several options in an international buffet of some sort. Still a big proponent of basil chicken (five star spicy spicy!) as a great intro to Thai flavors. Various curries, too, though some will have enough of an underlying coconut flavor that it may not appeal to someone off coconut.0

Dinner was a bust. I will give Thai food another chance but I will search for the highest rarestaurant in NYC and go there.
Boo. I've never had Thai either and have wanted to go. Although there aren't any places near me that I know of.
Skinny Cow has a version of Drumsticks now (which makes sense, as both are made by Nestle). I think I'll splurge for the full calorie version. The mint one...a bit of mint ice cream on top with a bit of ganache, then entirely chocolate ice cream, chocolate cone, and hardly any ganache inside. Quite disappointing.0 -

I'm in Dayton too. There are actually several places that do Thai. There's Thai 9 downtown that's not too bad, but more hype than substance IMO. There's House of Thai in Beavercreek. It's in a big pink house by Lofino's off of 35. There's a place in Huber Heights called Iyara in the shopping center by the BMV. There's a place in Kettering at Dorothy Lane and Wilmington Pike but I can't remember the name of it. (obviously, I like Thai).0 -

Yeah, I'm in Clayton/Englewood where we get nothing. The Chinese places here only started delivery service last year!0 -

I know I am way too late to respond to this to be of any help, and actually, I've only been there once for a day trip and we ate at Bubba Gump's which I would NOT recommend... I was just going to say that I have heard Charleston has a TON of amazing restaurants, and I'm sure you found somewhere really good, can't wait to hear about it! I'd love to go back there.

Swung by Fresh Market this afternoon on the way home. Had to replenish the GF Dark Choc. Jeni's was on sale for $10 so I picked up some Brambleberry Crisp, and added some Graeter's Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip. Feeling good about the berries after the Tillamook experience (and subsequent gluttony on the part of my kids). Will probably try the Brambleberry tonight!

Aaaannd, decided to taste a smidge of the Bramblecrisp rather than wait until after dinner.
I like this very, very much! Started with a smidge and turned into about 3/4's of a serving. I didn't get a ton of the "brambleberry swirl" which is a puree of black currants and blackberries, so I will need to revisit the review when that flavor is a little more dominant, perhaps. But the vanilla base is great, and the oat clusters are tremendous -- great mouth feel, and lovely brown sugar and cinnamon goodness. I think I'd eat those oat clusters out of a tub of arctic zero if it came to that (though never had arctic zero, so don't hold me to that). Two thumbs up from me on a first pass!0 -
Those oat clusters are the best. The berry part is good too but I buy it for the oats.0

Rediscovered a local ice cream place that sells homemade ice cream by the pint... 3 for $6.60. I got strawberry chocolate chip, toasted almond and praline pecan... They're incredible. I actually went to an ice cream shop with my daughter beforehand and got some coconut almond joy ice cream, but there is just no comparison. Wish I had saved the calories for the good stuff instead, I was only able to have a couple tablespoons of each (I think I'm having a light dinner tonight now).
No nutrition info unfortunately so I'm going to have to make them last as it's a total guess... it's from Halo Farm in NJ.

I went to Giant today to scoop up four more pints of Talenti before the sale runs off. I got Caramel Apple Pie & Raspberries & Cream. I accidentally left them at work & I'm hoping no one eats them.0
-
Excuse me. I just want to let everyone know that I may have had a personal moment of ecstasy while eating this Talenti Raspberries and Cream. Seriously, this is hitting all of my spots. SO GOOD.0
