In other news, still not back to work. Saw Neurology yesterday and he's keeping me out till at least April 6th. Cat scan and MRI coming up this week.

In other other news.........it's not easy being green. Tough life chillin at the chiropractor as I type this. Heating pad under my neck, mini massage next.

    AVwO0k4.jpg?1

Oh, yikes, I hope that it all helps! I missed what happened :astonished: But I hope you can get back to your workouts and work soon.
I was working and was walking down a patient's driveway, didn't notice there was a thick sheet of ice and I slipped and landed on my back then hit the back of my head on the ice. Concussion and injured the left side of my neck along with my back.

I missed the back story, too. Ugh. I hope you're back to your old self sooner rather than later. xx

Thought it was about time I joined this group!

I'm lucky enough to live in a city with a couple of great Gelato makers, and I live right in town, so I can pretty much wander down the street any time and get a single serve (okay, not any time, up till 11pm week nights and 12pm weekends). These guys' closest gelato bar is about a 10 min walk from my house: http://www.kaffeeeis.co.nz/#/node/3. And you can get 1 litre tubs at the supermarket.

These guys also sell at cafes and other places around town, and also 1 litre tubs at the supermarket. Oh, and through one of the pizza chains, so technically my closest gelato is about 3 mins away: http://www.kaffeeeis.co.nz/#/node/3

And if we're talking ice cream, it's all about this stuff: https://www.kapiticollection.co.nz/#/ice-cream/scoops-and-tubs

I had to pop to the food porn palace for some dinner stuff today, so did a circuit around to include Kaffee Eis. Got the chocolate, ate it as I wandered back home in the sun. Sooooo good.

Snickerdoodle caramel. Snickerdoodle cookies with caramel ice cream middle and caramel sauce on the plate. As most know I don't like cinnamon and the cookies had a strong cinnamon flavor but surprisingly I really liked it.

    Double chocolate peanut butter
Double chocolate cookie that had chocolate chunks in it with a PB ice cream. Chocolate sauce on the side.

I love snickerdoodles and never thought to use them for an ice cream sandwich. It's happening the next time I make them. Yum!

Went to dinner with my best friend tonight. He wanted me to come by and see his new place. Great spot by the bridge with a great view. As always we went to dinner. Gave Thai food a 2nd chance and im glad I did. Afterwards we went to a different spot for dessert. An organic burger place that I know has Coolhaus ice cream. For those who have never tried it you need to find it. I've never tried their ice cream sandwiches primarily because the are 500 calories each. We got 2, and split them.

View from his balcony. 10th floor. I wouldn't sit out there. Don't like heights.

Pictures are not great because my phone was dying so he took them with his IPhone. That phone takes terrible pics.

Awesome view, and those sandwiches look awesome! There are a couple stores around that supposedly carry coolhaus products, so I'll have to check it out (probably something lame like just their cookies). But, they have a food truck in Austin, and I'm currently planning a trip to Austin to meet up with a fellow MFPer...

Hm, I never realized Edy's/Dryer's were the same company...

Anyways, not my own pick, but this looked good so I thought I'd give it a try. Going to have some tonight.

I saw malibu didn't like the chocolate malt, but I'm hoping this one is better.

I love frozen custard, although my favorite is just the vanilla with tons of mix ins and toppings from a local place (at least in college, it's since closed, and the only one I know of is an hour drive...).

Can't wait to hear what it's like.

A frozen custard place opened here last year, but unfortunately by the time I wanted to try it, it had closed. All there is left is Rita's (which I actually like, mind you, even though last time I went I spent 2 hours on the toilet afterwards).

Hmmm. I'm not big on pretzels with sugary things, but it sounds better. The only other one my Target had was the vanilla. We actually have a custard shop in town, but they probably won't open for the year until next month when the baseball/soccer games start at the park across the street from them.

Ok, it was really good. The custard base was really creamy with nice swirls of salted caramel. The pretzel pieces actually made it a little hard to scoop (when you run into a piece), but they were lightly coated in chocolate so they stay very crispy. Very, very good. High in calories, but oh so good.

There's a local chain here of "family restaurant" (similar to Denny's or IHOP) that has pie rush Wednesday - free slice of pie with any purchase. So I splurged on Wednesday and got a little side salad and a slice of mint brownie pie. Yum! I don't get mint chocolate very often because my husband is incredibly allergic to mint, but he wasn't with so I got to enjoy.

I didn't think to take a pic until after it was consumed

LOL, yeah. I thought it was more regional than national - a lot of people don't know it. But their mint brownie pie is to die for! (and totally worth the ~800 calories, just not too often)

Sorry I haven't updated in a few days... I've had a busy and tiring week. So Wednesday was my Birthday and my 6 year old daughter helped me pick out my birthday cake. We settled on a Chocolate Strawberry Shortcake. It was nice and 'light' and 'fluffy'. It was probably the best cake I've gotten for my birthday, haha.

    The whole cake:

Yeah I don't know how wide spread they are, but we have 'em in Iowa.

Can't say I've had that one, though I tend to favor two crusted berry pies (a la mode of course).

Has anyone else discovered new Talenti flavors in the stores recently? Mine had Salted Peanut Caramel and Hazelnut Chocolate Chip. The hazelnut one tasted so boozy, I actually threw it out

Mr. C decided last night we had to run out to one of our favorite ice cream shops..
Picture isn't great but I wasn't prepared so he took it for me. Smore's sundae in a choc dipped waffle bowl.
