  • Crazycat, awesome! That is my goal, as well, though I would never be able to admit it to people I see everyday. Not like they can't tell... lol I'm just over 5 pounds away so hopefully i'll be able to celebrate with you soon.

0 yesterday! I had sparkling juice in a martini glass instead. *sigh* I even wore beads.

Bgrune- PMS gets me, too, I get so tired and so hungry.

TOM makes me very tired and VERY irritable. Sometimes my fiancé is very good and knows to shut up and other times he likes to tease me which gets my temper going more. I'll take those things over cramps though.

Almost the end of the second day of my 3 day Shakeology cleanse. Felt great during my work out, just had my last shake of the day and feel wonderful. Think I'll have the same dinner as last night which was baked white fish with some seasoning alongside a salad with all natural strawberry vinaigrette.

Tomorrow is day 3 and then Friday I'm done and can get back to chewing but more importantly .... I can have wine!

Tuffy, good luck, the first few days are the hardest....

Hubs finger surgery went well and he's off to work on his vicodin. LOL. I am thinking tonight will be a zero..........but, it is my last night since I work all weekend....so, I will see if I can earn it with exercise and that will be my plan

Tonight, I have a receipe for low-fat creamed spinach and I think I will stuff chicken with it. Maybe a side salad to go with it. I am already hungry...Yummo....I will also make homemade meatballs and marinara for tomorrow....it will be a busy cooking day...it takes me all day to prep and cook the meatballs and sauce...but, worth it.

Thursday- not sure yet....the weather looks iffy we are supposed to go to a friends for Gumbo tonight, but if it snows too much maybe I won't, but if I do I'm sure there will be wine

If I do drink tonight then I will take off one day this weekend....only 3 drinking days a week MAX! Scale has actually started moving since this change I made about 3 weeks ago. I know if I gave it up all together it would move even faster.....but lets get serious! :drinker:

It is the final day of my shakeology cleanse. I've heard a lot of people say they had a problem completing it but I didn't find it to be that difficult and I even worked out during it which apparently you're not recommended to do, oops. The main thing I learned is that I've got some serious will power, it taught me that I can stick to a plan and say no. There were plenty of times when I would have loved to order a grinder or something or have more than what the cleanse entailed but I didn't. I committed to it and stuck to the plan and that feels really good. It'll definitely help me now when it comes to carbs, I love them, I can never stop eating bread or pasta when we have it but now I know that I can have a little or none and be able to stop. I also think it'll help out with portions from here on out as I'm sure my stomach has shrunk some, and that of course leaves more room for wine  However changing my habits and knocking it down to only 2 drinking days a week will for sure hit my tolerance which is totally fine with me because that in turn means feeling that lovely buzz after less wine which means less calories  So I guess as of right now, I would say the cleanse was a success and would definitely recommend it, especially with those with more weight to lose. I've heard of some losing 7 or more pounds in these 3 days! This was not my case as I was within 6 pounds of where my body seems happiest and my body is changing again thanks to P90X  I'll post the final loss tomorrow though.

As far as my 4th P90X journey, I'm getting my strength back finally, was able to get back to curling 15's on one of my moves in yesterday's work out. I definitely won't stop working out for months or over the holidays again. I've got an hour on the bike for today's work out, that'll be a little later though after my snack and second shake.

    Happy Thirsty Thursday all!

okay, so how sad is it that as soon as I get home I forget the meaning of moderation? One whole bottle of wine last night. I guess I need my granddaughter's influence to be good. I am just really pissed to be home and back at work and all that. I would rather be holding that precious baby girl. I need a drink. :noway:

Jeez, you know since I've given up alcohol this month I have felt more unwell than I have done in ages. It must be the lack of alcohol allowing the germs to flourish instead of killing them off

It is officially the end of my 3 day Shakeology cleanse!!! I SO want a glass of wine but will hang onto my will power and wait until tomorrow  I can't wait though!! haha So here's what the next few days will look like and what the week has looked like.

    Sunday - 0
    Monday - 0
    Tuesday - 0
    Wednesday - 0
    Thursday - 0
Friday - WHO KNOWS! But I would like to keep it to a lower amount which shouldn't be a problem if my tolerance has gone down and my stomach has shrunk.
Saturday - Also fair game but would like to keep it under control
Sunday - Back to 0's and already looking forward to Friday :drinker:

Well, I did it, and it was not even a problem. I guess I assumed I couldn't even go one night, and clearly I can! I'm really proud of myself and pleased. So tonight is Friday, and I'm going to put myself on a 2-drink limit.

    Thursday: 0
    Friday: 2
    Saturday: 2
Sunday: loads of beer most likely while we have a Daytona 500 party :)
    Monday: 0

That's my plan! I hope I can stick to it.

Have a great weekend everybody!:drinker: :drinker: :drinker:

Yep another bottle of wine. Red last night. It was good. My knee is really acting up since Vegas so I haven't been on the dreadmill.

Kim I have been applying. I had one interview before I left, I have another interview for another position today. Unfortunatley they move like molasses around here so it will be a while before things change for me even if I do get a new position.

Tuffy, good job....sometimes, we buid it up in our heads that it's harder than it is. BTW, I love that doggy on your avatar.

Robin. I thought you had applied and I hadn't heard any further. Well, at least, you had some interviews. I hope the knee gets better soon.

Great Job, Krisco....water was a good choice and the scale moved...superscore

I've lost the 4 lbs I gained last weekend, so I feel better about that. 0 for me last night, I kinda had tummy issues.

Thanks ladies! I think you are right, it seems I had convinced myself it was going to be SO HARD, but it actually wasn't hard at all, and I had no cravings. I sipped on this super yummy sparkling water I discovered at my grocery store, it is made by Sparkling Ice. The pink grapefruit is delicious!

And the doggie is my rotten bulldog Hank. He is such a pain in my *kitten*, but I love him anyway :) Still a baby at just over 2 years old.

Happy Friday to all my fellow lushes! I'm thinking tonight may even be another zero.

Sydney, great job, glad the 4 pounds was just temporary!

Congrats Tuffy and Kris on your goals for last night!!!

Congrats SoCal on your loss on the scale

Mama Lush, hope everything works out soon on the job front and that your knee feels better.

As for this lush, my cleanse is over, I made it!!!!!! Totally changed my mindset and now I know that I have the control, not the bread or the pasta or the wine or the dessert, ME! I lost 1.6 pounds which puts me at a total of 6.6 lbs lost since the start of this round of P90X and this is about the end of week 7. My waist just feels sooooo nice and slim, it's amazing to me how almost 7 lbs makes such a difference. My next goal is another 5 lbs gone and then I'll be back to my weight before the holidays, at that point I'll see if I want to go lower, I don't want to be too skinny though or skinny at all for that matter. I want to be fit and strong and want my arms looking killer  I kept it healthy for lunch and had a chocolate tropical shakeology blended with milk and a banana on the side. I'm going out to dinner with the fiancé tonight and I think I'm going to stick with a salad that I know I like there, possibly an appetizer but a healthy one, no main meal because I don't want leftovers and no dessert, but definitely wine!!!!!!!

I definitely think the cleanse was worth it, they recommend doing it after each season, not sure I'll do that but I'll probably do it after the holidays and I'll probably do it again before I go get my dress and before the wedding.

Still not drinking, it's been 20 days...five more to go. Every night around 4:30 (my happy hour) I think about it. Luckily this crazy puppy (which we named Callie) keeps my mind occupied. Everyone is doing so well with their personal goals. Carry on lushes!

Tonight is a zero so far, which is very unusual for me! Usually I start early on a Friday. I had thought about doing a zero tonight, but I just got back from food shopping about 45 minutes ago, and I may need a drink. I went and opened my trunk to put my groceries in, and the hood on my coat was blocking my full view; I thought the trunk was totally open but apparently it had only gone halfway up and I smashed my nose right into it putting a bag in there:angry: I thought I broke my damn nose! So in the rush to get all my stuff put away in the pouring rain (and my shoes were totally soaking wet), with my seriously injured nose, I take off for home - just to discover my pocketbook was not with me:noway: So back to the store I went. Apparently, it was on the ground next to where my car had been and someone brought it in and turned it over to Customer Service. Oy! I may have a couple of drinks to calm the nerves. Have a great weekend everyone!
