Short list to finish week. One school campus, one church/school campus, and two residentials.
Mow the first school as they are having soccer tournaments in afternoon. Early lunch as next church/school campus is a four hour marathon. Pull into driveway and slam on brakes. People EVERYWHERE!! Pavilion tents, rows of port-a-pots. BIG doin's.
Had to put one of my guys on the trailer tongue to help push banners strung across drive up and over front of trailer as we creep down entrance so I can turn-around and get the *kittens* out of there.
Communication is a wonderful thing.
Finished the two residentials and head back to the shop.
Had time to knock the cobwebs off our big water-cooled 72" field mower. Sharpen blades, scrape deck, air up tires, check oil... wait, what-the? Water in the oil and no water in the radiator! Crap!
Mowed our 4 acre shop with the smaller 60". I'll worry about the 72 another day.0 -

Fairly normal Monday.
Boss changed oil in 72 while we were out. He also topped off the coolant and added some UV coolant dye. Let it run until warm, then checked the oil with UV light. No glow. Mowed with it for 15 min and repeat check. Still no glow.
Guessing the water was just condensation build up over an unusually warm winter. [thumbs up]0 -

Two greenhorns on my truck while my experienced guy is off on his own turning on irrigation systems so less walking for me for a couple more weeks. I can see my stress eating is up probably as a result.1 -

Beautifully normal Spring day. Turned into a 12 hour day due to thick Spring grass and two greenhorns. Both issues should get better with time.
Too tired to eat much when I got home at 8 pm. Quick shower, nuked a couple of dogs, and then hit the sack. Morning still came way too early. [yawn]1 -

Time to rearrange my greenhorn seating. The greenhorn with three weeks time has been in the front seat of the truck with me. The other has one week under his belt and rides in the cramped back seat with all the *kitten* that won't ride well in the bed of the truck; tarps, toolboxes, etc.
Problem is, the guy in the front seat is not doing well with the company. In a zombie daze most of the time, while the other one is on the bounce. He sees what needs to be done and does it without me having to tell him.
Zombie dude is going in the back seat as of today.0 -

Zombie dude survived the day in the back seat but he didn't make any progress earning his front seat back. I still feel the urge/need to smack him on the back of his head, just to get his attention, before giving out instructions.1 -

A rare Saturday off work for the Easter weekend.
Spent the morning getting three different maintenance items off my work to-do list and the afternoon with my adult son as we welded some finishing touches on his backyard forge. Crossing fingers we can do the first firing today (more likely next weekend) to start really curing out the refractory cement in the body which has air-dried these last few months.1 -

Easter Day and MFP stoped syncing with my FitBit.
Not a huge deal as I use a spreadsheet to calc calories the day after, but I miss MFP's continuous adjustment throughout the day.
Big ham for lunch at in-laws so no way to weigh intake. Had to guess portion size and then downed a whole bag (1,000 cals) of jellybeans by myself.
Looks like sync issue is still not fixed. Perhaps no one was working on problem over holiday.
Did some more welding on my worn out work trailer after lunch with in-laws. Wish I was better at it and that we had a mig welder that was worth a *kitten*.0 -

12hrs 45 min work day, a new record for me.
Playing catch-up after rains yesterday. Started day 4 hours behind. Ended day... 5 hours behind. Spring grass loved the rain and bolted. Double and triple mows are the rule. Last yard was nasty thick. Finished in dark. Will have to go back this morning for final blow as we couldn't see the clods in the dark.1 -

Only got four mowed before being rained out. Did housekeeping on shop until 2pm. Rain had stopped for about an hour, so we went back out searching for yards that we could mow damp. Mowed another five, each taking twice as long as it should due to damp, before calling it a day
Not great but not a horrible day considering.1 -

Rare Sunday work day. Split into three crews to finish residential mows after two and a half days of rain.
Still have a couple of commercial mows but will try and squeeze them in over the next two days.
Weather this coming week looks like a repeat of last week. Rain expected Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. 70 to 80%.1 -

Boss moved zombie dude to the other crew today. The other greenhorn and I kicked it all day. In fact, I have a triple play of personal bests for this year (and getting closer to break last year's PBs).
Finished the day's list and then we got an add-on to mow a foreclosed property for the bank we mow. 'Weed abatement' its called. Hadn't been mowed since before leaves fell last year (if at all). moved the deck up to 4.5" and crept through the knee high grass and weeds hoping I'd see the rocks, limbs, cinder blocks, dead animals, old cars, mine shaft holes, etc, before I hit them.
Got back to the shop without major incident and sent the greenhorn home. Then I mowed the shop, another 2 hours. Headed for home at 7:30pm. Just another 12 hour day.
Have to say, feeling it this morning. Keeping up with twenty-somethings is tough on us fifty plusers.

Finished Tuesday's list in good form, even picked up one of the school campuses we missed last week due to rain and four residentials on tomorrow's list in anticipation of another rain-out day.
Then got a call for another one-off like we did yesterday. Rake up gumballs in the front yard and mow on a yard up for sale. Raked the gumballs, 35 minutes, check. Mow the front... a little tall on one side and sidewalks have never been edged but ok, 15 minutes, check. Open the double gate to the backyard... OMG. I've seen production hayfields with less grass. Raised deck and dove in.
And one hour later.
Just another 12 hour 30 minute work day.1 -

Total rain-out. Spent entire day changing out the lower element on my electric water heater... just 'cause I didn't have to rush.
Went to bed with nausea, cold sweats, and muscle aches. Woke up with 100 degree fever. Called the boss and he said keep it home. Just woke up again with 14 hours of sleep under my belt and blinding headache. First time I've been ill since starting this lawn maintenance job two and a half years ago and it Sucks!0 -

Sick day. Managed to get one turkey pot pie down for supper.
Also looks like MFP 'upgraded' their software so that it now does not recognize imbedded BBC color codes. Suffice to say, all my numbers are suppose to be red.
Feeling better so off to work today, weather permitting.1 -
@d_thomas02 You are doing an amazing job. Only found this group today. Your commitment is inspiring.
I have been doing daily resistance work (body weight only - no gym) and walking. Have managed to keep this up for over a month now. Hope I can remain as consistent as you.1 -
@d_thomas02 Rest up and get better.1

Thanks for the support guys.

Colors still don't seem to be working. Fired an e-mail to tech support. Will be interesting to hear what they have to say.
My Intake and Active Minutes are in the green. In yellow are my TDEE and Steps as they are above my minimums but not reaching my goals of 3,500 and 20,000 respectively. In red are my Deficit for the day and my Average Daily Deficit for the week as both are over 1,000 cals.
While I did make it to work (after a 4 hour weather delay) and put in 7 hours, I wished I hadn't eaten that turkey sandwich for lunch. It sat like a bowling ball in my stomach all day.
Was thinking I'd skip supper when I got home near 8 pm but SWMBO had a chicken and fried rice dish and a sausage egg roll bowl (think egg rolls without the fried shell) that I dipped into mainly to not hurt her feelings... and then had to stop myself from getting seconds. Seemed to settle OK and bowling ball in gut is now gone.
6 to 8 inches of rain predicted over weekend and currently raining heavy with lightning and thunder as I type this, so another two days to recover.1 -

Rest day and refeed... as best I can while still dealing with stomach issues (possible TMI: currently imitating the shuttle launch every time I sit on the throne this morning).
Everything is in red except my Intake and my Average Daily Deficit which are both green.
7 inches of rain over the last 36 hours and still coming down. Rain should be done by noon today but flash flood warnings are lasting until midnight tonight. Might be a few yards we can mow tomorrow but betting we do odd jobs instead, giving things another day to dry out.1 -

Managed to eat over my minimum but still seriously under my TDEE. Everything in the green except my deficits, both of which are in the red. Perhaps I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Ate a normal meal last night and gut feels normal this morning.
Cold, cold day for the first of May yesterday, and more rain forecast for Wednesday.0 -

Green across the board except for my Avg Daily Deficit which is still in the red.
Decent feed yesterday after what is becoming a normal 12 hour workday.
Currently... wait for it... raining but might be able to squeeze in two odd jobs this morning between showers. One client still needs a couple yrds of mulch and another had a very large limb (maybe 16" dia at the break point) drop onto her driveway between her garages. Both jobs might keep us (one crew, two guys) busy through lunch.0 -
Wed 05/03 - TDEE: 3,412 cals, Intake: 3,572 cals, Deficit: -160 cals, Steps: 13,958 , Active Minutes: 84

Too wet to mow so we did odd jobs. Two turned into six. Was able to work around the off again on again showers so just got damp, not soaked.
Another rainy day today. Ground is saturated so flooding is the rule. Even major interstate highways around the area are closed due to flooding.0
