New high for Heat Index... 108F. Need to make it through one more hot muggy day and then we're expecting some relief from the heat. Low to mid eighties for next week... and more rain.

Made it through 103F Heat Index and hopefully the last triple digit for the Summer. Finished the weekly list of mows and a handful of odd jobs just before the rain unloaded (yes, torrential and almost sideways). Mid eighties next week (yes, and more rain)

Now have the whole two day weekend off! [Hallelujah chorus plays LOUDLY]

Started day overcast with a light mist. Overcast stayed all day. Mist came and went several times, not enough to worry about but cool on the skin. High hit 78F, almost chilly compared to past couple of months. Was on last yard for the day when heavy sprinkles started. Was a little damp by time we finished yard.

Main weather front seems to have moved south of us. Rest of week looks decent. [crosses fingers]

This was a work day that all other work days will be measured against. Temperature - perfect, humidity - perfect, wind - perfect, clouds perfect, sun - perfect, workload - perfect, three beers back at the shop at the end of the day - perfect.

    A good day.

Another nice day. Warmer though at 87F, almost a one wringer. Still, almost 20 degrees cooler than last couple of heat waves so I can deal.

Lost our college kid Summer help this week, so having to relearn all our yards with a crew of two.

One thing about all the rain we've gotten. Air is clean. Amazing how sharp everything looks. Every leaf glistens. Love being outside everyday.

I did do two loads of my own laundry. Even folded. Still laying on the living room floor, but had to leave something to do for Sunday.

Not sure where these numbers came from. I did put up the two loads of folded laundry I did Saturday... OK, and worked with my son on his backyard forge... and mowed the 4 acres at the shop... and replaced a broken set of leaf spring shackles on my mowing trailer... and mowed my own place... and then string trimmed my own place, including the 1/4 mile drive... and then did a few odd jobs at my mom's.

Hinky charging on laptop finally forced me to take it back to computer shop. Definitely a loose power plug socket on motherboard. (a little down pressure on power plug and charges fine, no pressure and charge light blinks showing power plugged in but not charging, little up pressure and computer shuts down like you powered off.)

Back to smartphone for a while. [ugh]

Heat and humidity has returned. A two wringer day.

On brighter note, computer shop called. Power cord jack is issue. $40 for new jack and $150 to solder it onto motherboard. Told them to do it. 3-5 days to get jack in. Should have laptop back sometime next week.

Fell off the wagon... OK, more like a double twist pike into a swan dive... straight 9's across the board.

Been having tooth pain on right side of jaw. Can't localize it to any one tooth. Finally saw my dentist. Best guess is a root canal on that side (#3) I had done a couple of years ago which had to be re-done a couple of months after that. Looks like it may need a third try, this time attacking through the gum and bone rather than through the tooth. (I forget the name of the procedure.) Currently on antibiotics and ibuprofen... Still hurts. Antibiotics need another 12 hours.

Question I have to answer soon. 1) Do the third procedure to "save" the tooth.
Or have tooth extracted and; 2) do nothing, 3) get bridge, 4) go for implant?
