Day started in low 60s and then dropped to low 50s, cloudy with an occasional light mist. First time since the heat of Summer I wore a hoodie while mowing and wished it was my heavy coat. I was cold... and it was GREAT!!!0 -

Rain out. Was on call until noon before boss finally called it a total wash. By then my motivation was also a wash. Binged on Netflix and peanut butter the rest of the day.0 -

Growing season is coming to a close with the shorter days, but Fall shrub trimming has kept us busy. Should finish off the shrubs Saturday, then its on to step five of our six step lawn fertilizer program to be followed closely by leaf clean ups which should take us through Thanksgiving. Step six fertilizer goes down mid December to close out the year.0 -

So, got my 4 yr old laptop back home and I'm tickled it works and that I don't have to salvage all my stuff off a non-functional computer. (Got a dive trip in the pre-planning stage for Feb '17). Had a good long amicable talk with the shop owner (whom I've been a patron of for more than ten years) who remembered building a tower for me 10 years ago specifically for transferring old 8 mm cellulose film to DVDs (an old hobby of mine). Have to give him credit for the effort and eating all the labor on the failed attempts.0 -

My numbers are down as a result of my normal truck partner off for the next four to five weeks winterizing irrigation systems. His replacement has only been with us a couple of months and isn't ready to ride the big mower. So I have to ride every yard.
Fortunately (??) he is still so slow that I can get some walking in after I finish mowing.0
