Figured I'd start the December thread seeing as I'm back to being a lush again.

Well December is always going to be challenging with all the parties and family gatherings. Personally I'm going to try to be vaguely good some of the time but the rest of the time, sod it, Christmas comes but once a year

I lost 2.2 kg during my no-no November so I have a bit of room to indulge anyway. Might well be joining in the just say no January to get back on track though.

Just finished putting up all the decorations...many of which were my mom's. It makes me think of her, which puts a smile on my face (although I miss her terribly) She would be so proud to see how fabulous her grandson turned out to be. I do wish he had a longer time to know the amazing woman that was his Grandma.

Anything good I've done as a parent I owe to her. Thank you mom! :drinker:

    Happy December lushes!!

Awwww. SoCal. She would be proud.

I'm drinking a peach Fresca and vodka as I type. Mmmmmmm. Last night was: 2 double tall Malibu and diets (they were on special), 2 Blue Moons, a lemon drop shot,...this was at the bar. Then at home, 2 D!cken shots and a Coors Light. This would explain my awesome post last night.

Ahhhh December...Goodbye November! The last week was kind of a blur, not a drunky blur so much, but drinking did occur. Seems pointless to record it now.

Went up to Kentucky to check out a breeder who I am most likely getting a new puppy from. The pups are 6 weeks old and
sooooo cute. I will post a pic tomorrow.

    Friday - 2 margaritas
    Saturday - 0

Welcome Fae! This is a great group.

both of my teams won yesterday. I didn't touch any alcohol until about 6 pm and then I drank too much. *sigh* seems to be a pattern. I seriously need to break the pattern so we are aiming for a 0 today.

Ahhh December....this thread always seems to remind me how time is flying by!!!

I had a great birthday weekend.

Friday- started with a stop at our regular bar down the street with a shot of vodka and 2 beers, then went to dinner where I had 2 vodka tonics before dinner, 3 glasses of wine with and after dinner, and a baileys on the rocks after dinner, then went to the bar and had another vodka tonic and a beer and 2 shots of I have no idea.....the bartender told me I needed to do 30 shots for my bday I made him stop at 2

So with all that mixing you would think I would have felt awful Saturday, but not that bad actually.

Saturday- went shopping and had lunch out where I had a glass of pinto grigio, then went to Mike's work Christmas party where I had 3 glasses of wine and 2 beers over a 6 hour time period, and had a glass of water between each drink, so I felt great yesterday morning.

Sunday- half bottle of wine at the family bday dinner

Plan is zero until at least Friday, maybe even Saturday. We have Mike's big family Christmas party at our house Saturday night, so I have lots of work to do this week to get ready. And when I say big I mean at LEAST 50 people!

Friday I did well; kept it to about 5. Saturday was another story. I'm guessing 1.5 glasses of red, then a large Captain and cider, then another 2 wines, then I think about 2-3 beers, but that gets fuzzy. So basically I felt like @ss yesterday, ate tons of carbs and laid around all day. I hate when I do that. It's like I lose a whole day of my weekend. I have a party Thursday, so going to be good until then. Keep it to 2 or less. Probably 0 for at least the next 2 days. There's a bottle of Cupcake Red Velvet openon my counter though..... It's weekends like these that make me ready for Just Say No January.....

Several on Saturday. 0 yesterday. I may go with 0 tonight as well except I do have an open bottle of red I should probably drink before it goes bad, right?

Hi All...crazy busy work weekend. 32 hours in 3 days and I am off until Wednesday.

The front hall is under complete renovation and should have been done before Thanksgiving.

Tonight...maybe some pizza and some beers....I had a brief thought of getting light beer and then realized I have these stupid standards...mmmmm, the darker the better

Gooooooooooooo, Yvonne!! :drinker: :drinker: :drinker: :drinker: :drinker:

    Monday, ??? beers

I had 2 pints of cider Saturday night, funny how when I could have it I didn't want it so much, and now tonight I fancy one but am aiming to stick to only drinking at weekends!
I'm slowly building up my Christmas alcohol stash. Now up to 9 bottles of wine, 2 bottles of Baileys and a bottle of southern comfort. The challenge is whether it'll survive until Christmas

Glad you had a good birthday weekend Chloe!!!!

I did as well. Friday, birthday lunch and shopping with Mom and Gram. Then the husband pucked me up and we went to the mall because my engagement ring finally came in and is beautiful so now I have my wedding set =} Didn't drink much so Saturday I felt good. We went out for my birthday with friends and I had lots of champagne and all that sugar gave me a mean headache yesterday but it was worth it. Yesterday was my actual birthday. Went to Plan B with the husband and one of our friends. Had some beers and good food then stopped at the packy and Whole Foods. Went home and had drinks and watched Walking Dead. Husband gave me one of my gifts which was a Burberry scarf. Spaced my drinks so felt good this morning. Our grown up bed set was delivered and it is absolutely fabulous, I love our bedroom to pieces =} Husband gave me my other gift which was delivered today .... a mini fridge for our bedroom =D I've been saying forever we should have one and now we do. It's not so mini though, we'll be able to have a britta pitcher, beer, wine and some snacks if we want.

Now I'm drinking some red and watching the husbands team play.

Great birthday weekend and now looking forward to my girls night at the casino =]

    Happy birthday Kat!

Wine tonight. Husband got a new job (at the same place) so I'm hoping he will be happier. Still horribly long 12 hour days...no real day offs..and he's salary...so no "overtime"
But a better fitting job doing what he likes to do. Baby steps.

SoCal- Hope your hubs is happier at the new job and better baby steps than no steps :flowerforyou:

Nisi- If I didn't have a whole house and 6 animals to take care of/pick up after I probably wouldn't leave the bedroom haha.

Husbands team isn't doing so well so I just ordered him some more Christmas presents  and I'm just waiting to crawl into our new amazing bed, snuggle with husband and fall asleep while watching something or other

    Sunday - 0
    Monday - 0

Off to a good start! And I feel about 100% better than I did yesterday. Amazing what a couple days with no booze, eating well and a workout will do. I think another 0 tonight. Maybe one glass of wine.

Wolf, that baby is adorable! You got/are getting him from KY? That's my state!

    Happy Birthday Kat!

Ummm wolf I am coming to steal that puppy!

    Monday-0

Almost had some wine last night....my ridiculous dad and step mom both had me on the phone last night for over an hour complaining about each other. Those are two people that should have gotten a divorce forever ago! The only reason why I listen to their crap is so my 18 and 15 year old sister and brother won't have to. But, I stayed away from the wine.

Did not sleep at all last night because of a sick pup. She seems better now, but I took a sick day from work. I think I will use the rest of my day to start cleaning and getting ready for our christmas party saturday.
