I’m starting to think that my app is pausing or something without me noticing.

On Tuesday, I did W3D1, so 90 second run, 90 seconds walk, 3 min run, 3 min walk, rinse and repeat 

I was on the first run segment and thought it seemed REALLY long. However, everything feels really long when you’re just starting to run! lol I try to make a habit of not looking at my phone so I’m not counting down the seconds. Anyway, I made it through the first 90 second segment without checking. And the three minute segment was pretty easy.

When I got to the second 90 second segment, again, I thought it was super long. I was wrestling with myself to not check my phone cause I had made it through the first 90 seconds, so I could do it again.

When I finally gave up and checked the time remaining on my phone, it said 1 minute, 24 seconds! What?!?!? There was no way that I had only been running for 6 seconds cause I had already gone several blocks and had been giving myself a pep talk for at least the last two blocks. So, I watched the countdown to the next walk segment while I ran it out.

The whole run is supposed to take 28 minutes, but it actually took me 34 minutes according to MapMyRun.

I keep my phone in my pocket, so it’s not like I’m hitting buttons that would pause it, so I’m confused.

Anyway, I’m chalking it up to annoying, but on the bright side, I guess that means I actually can run longer than I give myself credit for cause I’m running during the pause segments too.

@smiles4jo it happened to me as well. But I was running on the treadmill that day. I could swear it paused for like 30 sec or so. But then I've started running outdoor and had both C25k and Endomondo turned on and there's no difference in timing. I don't know, I guess it was just a one time thing.

Week 4 done. I'm halfway there!

Maybe your phone has 'self-actualized' and was adapting to your awesome endurance and attitude!!! Me, I'd burn the thing, the network you're on, and get a new app. I need a trusting relationship with my RunDouble during this trying time!!!!!

I went back to Week 6 Day 1 today. The first run was pretty tough, but after that it got a bit easier. Of course, the 2nd half is always easier for me because it's down hill. It's been over a week since I was able to get out and do a C25k run. I had a few days with little to no exercise due to "life" and then bad weather kept me inside on the treadmill. Plus, my last run (W6D3) before the days off didn't go well and I ended up walking several times. So, I didn't think I was ready to go on to week 7. I decided the best course was just to repeat all of week 6.

Great idea to repeat Week6! Do not give up and keep pushing! :)

Week 4 day 2 done. I ran outside for the first time and I did better than I thought I'd do. I finished the whole run with 12:17min/mile average pace, including warmup and cooldown. Not the fastest runner in the world but I am so proud of myself
    Awesome! :)

Just came back from a long weekend away in Munich and Salzburg where I did a lot of walking. My left foot was playing up but didn't want 6 days to go by without doing W7 D2 (did D2 5 days ago) so forced myself to get up and run. I completed the run but found it was the hardest run so far. I'm not sure if it was because of all the walking I did or if my indulgence this weekend affected me but will monitor D3's run to see how I get on. For now I am happy with myself for completing W7 D2.
You are so close! Keep it up! :)

W6D2 done. It was pretty tough today but I completed the run. It had been a busy day with a 5 mile walk earlier and it was pretty hot out, but it could also have just been a tough day for no reason.

I thought I'd post a picture from my run as well. This is taken from about where I'm turning around and heading home, looking back to where I came from:

W1D2 done last night. Man, that was a brutal run against a strong headwind for the first 1/2 of the run but felt good to get it done!

@wonko221 thank you for the encouragement!

Today will be W3d2. I. Cannot believe I made it through Day1!! With no complaints really. Is burnin feet normal and something that gets better over time?

Also, the bottom inside of my knee is achy? Not really pain and walking and running now is not an issue. I tried google and came up with numerous things. It's my left knee. I am thinking it is due to an uneven road and the way my left leg is compensating. I am going to try and run in the middle of my lane today and see if that helps.

I too love the scenery pics! How do you take pics and run!!? LOL

I looked at your profile - Loveland! We visited some friends in Fort Collins and passed Loveland on our way to one of the parks. It's absolutely beautiful area where you live! You are so lucky! :)

I stop for few sec and take it with my phone. Sometimes I do not even stop, but then they are really bad. I have a very simple phone with a very basic camera, so my hand should not shake.
Here is one more from this morning. By the way, Week 6 is done! :)

Congrats! My feet never burned, only muscles got sore... Try different shoes in a specialized store?

W6D3 done! Good run today. I figured I'd better get out and do it this morning as we have thunderstorms with significant rain predicted today. It was cloudy and windy and trying to rain. I was a bit cold starting out but was fine once I warmed up (I wore my "cool weather" running clothes). So, the fact that today is a lot cooler and that I haven't already gone for a 5 mile walk probably explains why it was so much better a run than the last one. It was a pretty good morning for running, but not a good day for going for a walk.

@rnurse82 : I cheated and took that picture while on a walk with my husband. I wouldn't try to take a picture while running. I tried to take one near the end of my warm up today, before I started running, but I messed it up. My feet used to burn when my husband and I first started walking a lot. By the time I took up running, they were fine. It's my knees that I have to worry about. But, do make sure you've got the right shoes and socks.

@Aine8046 : We do like the area. You probably went up to Rocky Mountain National Park through Big Thompson Canyon. We're in the next valley south of the Big Thompson.

I think I've never experienced that. Do you use some good running shoes or just regular fitness shoes? Maybe that's what it is?

W5D1 done! I thought I wouldn't be able to make it because I am so sore everywhere, including my legs (yesterday's lifting) but I did!
I love jogging in the park right next to my house:

I have Brooks shoes. It doesn't seem as bad today when I was running. Maybe it was a getting used to it thing. Who knows!

@rnurse82 You asked about Burnin feet normal and something that gets better over time?

No Burnin Feet are not normal. If its not your shoes it might be your socks. Good Wicking socks make a big difference.
Once you have been running for a while you will end up with multiple socks and a few pairs of shoes. That is when you can truly
tell whether it is a shoe issue, sock issue or a combination of the two.
Mix and match to see if the problem follows the shoes or the socks.
My longest run so far was 32km and no foot discomfort-burnin.

This happened to me on Fri but I really wanted to finish week 7 and did it after work for the first time. I normally run first thing in the morning. Think it is one of the few times in my life I exercised on the first day :) Way to go us!

Just completed W8 D1! Best run I've had so far. Not only have I gotten faster but I felt like going the full 30 mins D3 will bring. Decided there was no rush and just follow the program. Feel so strong today! Two more runs! Congratulations all on the past week.
