    Sooo I made a minor error today. I did't realize that my youtube account automatically posted videos I post to my google+ account. So long story short I have bunch of people asking why I posted that. And already close to 100 hits. Thank god its a private video. I could of gone viral.

    So youre just going to tease us like that and not give us the link??????

    I made it a thread earlier. Thought of you ladies first of course.

    But here it is more accessible and all

    Nice tat, ho! Looks like it might have been painful to put on due to placement over ribs?

    People still use Google+?? :tongue: Doozer, your form looks very good/deep in my newbie opinion and your gym quite colorful.

    Yea I have weird friends. Thanks you!. And yea it's 24 hour fitness which I love. Tho not so much on weekends when it closes at 9 grrr. ( There is another 24hour one open all the time 10 mins further but its not the same I like mine) I need to stop working out at 2 am anyways.

    Lately I seem to have DOMS in so many places I can't even remember what I did to get the DOMS in the first place. I guess that's a good thing? Or something.

    I'm in this same boat with DOMS. IT band is killing me. Foam roller is killing me BUT I know it's good. What's not killing me LIFTING! I'm living through foam roller, stretching three times a day and trying to warm up my body without doing cardio because I wanna be bada$$ and get to my body weight on squats! I just feel so rockin seeing the progress I'm making!

    I set a new goal too. To get from 39% BF to 30% by next December. I guess that means I should be at ~35% by August. Hopefully that's a realistic goal.

    Hack squat: 4x5@65, 1x5@70 (over 50% bodyweight!)
    Bench: 4x5@45, 1x5@50 (Oly bar! 33% bodyweight at 45lbs)
    Row: 5x5@55 Form finally clicked in set 3. Hallelujah.

    I've taken to treating the brisk half mile walk to the gym as my warm-up, mostly because I'm too lazy to do "proper" cardio in the mornings when I know I'm running in the evening.

    Keep going with the foamroller, and if it isn't getting better after a few days, go see a doctor.

    @ ho - Your tat is beautiful, as is the expressed thought in it. I literally sucked in my breath when I scrolled down. (Also because of the location, I think. The foot would absolutely be out for me.) And welcome as well.

    Quick thanks for advice about push ups @Doozer and whoever else discussed it. I took them out of my warm up and was soon able to increase my OHP and bench weights. Got a form check from my secretly-smart hub for my most-hated rows and am doing better there too.

    My week: (no fails)
    Squat - 89
    OHP - 50 woot woot!
    DL - 112
    Bench - 69
    Row - 55 been there forever but now that form feels good that WILL change.

    Thanks!! Yeah, it has a TON of meaning behind it for me....aside from the (maybe?) obvious biblical reference, it was for me a reminder that no matter the crap i was going through at the time, something beautiful would come of it. And it hurt, but surprisingly, once I got in "the zone" i really could have just fallen asleep with the buzzing and the lightheadedness LOL.

    Just got back from today's workout, and hmm..

    According to my brother my squat form isn't up to scratch, so I only did 1 set at 110lbs and de loaded to practice on form, I seem to have a problem with my knees, so that's another thing to think about, woo! hahah

    However, my bench was fine, managed to to all five sets at 71.5lbs :)

    I also went on the body fat machine in the changing rooms at the gym, it gave me an bf% of 25.2% but I suppose the accuracy is debatable.

    @Vegannlg Thats great you're making progress again. Happy I could help.

    @Suznut Yea squats are technical and hard to get. But if you ignore it keep going then your problems will only get worse. So good for you on the deload. I tend to only trust calipers or dexa scans when it comes to BF%. Kinda skeptical that way.

    So decided after a while to finally send my squat video to my brother. He is a physical therapist so he should be somewhat qualified in these matters... Or at least I hope so lol. Jk he's really good. But I haven't told any of my family that I have been working out just because Ive started and stopped so many times over the past few years. Theyre always supportive but I just hate having the no Im not workout out conversation with them anymore.

    Any ways I sucked it up and sent him the video. He said my form is pretty good just need to slow down and keep my head neutral instead of up. He was like that looks like a good weight for you... But you want to be working on getting closer to your plyometric standard which is 1.5x Bodyweight. He meant it in a nice way muscularly. But in my head I was like yea I'll get right on that. 1.5x BW for me will be 330 lbs... Tho I just had to ask him since he is 6'4 250 lbs (built not fat) when the last time he squatted 375 pounds was. He's like yea I couldn't even get close.... All I said was well ok then.

    I need to get out and do something physical today and not feel like a slug. Hopefully get my hamstrings stretched out. Need them in good health have to hurry up and get to 330lbs lol.

    Holy cow...got out of the tub, got a SUPER nice massage from the hubs, got up, came in to work, and found TWO pages on the new thread and the first one all rolled over and stuff....

    I'm jealous of all the back, legs, and especially the tattoos. I am pretty sure I'll get one in the next year or so... Same deal for me though, have to cover it up for work boo.

    @Doozer - As a future PT :) I agree with your bro about keeping your head neutral, overall though I think the form is good, way better than most I see! And Yeah... 1.5 x body weight is a great long term goal but definitely not something to jump into! When I had ACL rehab they wanted me to single leg press my body weight with each leg which was kind of insane - luckily I was a skinny mini back then...

    The whole work thing is overrated. Just sayin, of course I have been off for almost 2 weeks. Mental vacay for me. Sometimes the ambulance gets to be to much and I need some home downtime.

    Sooooooo...last night's workout was bad...really bad. I don't know what I did, but during my warm up set for squats my right quad twinged...I must have strained it on Tuesday doing donkey kicks...it totally freaked me out...so I stuck with the same weight, but now I'm all worried that I have an injury...I've got two days off, but well...Idk It threw my whole work out off..and I decided not to get on the elliptical after lifting. Yesterday was a horrible day of over the top emotions, my boss riding my *kitten* all day, and panic attack at lunch...LOVE it when my thyroid flips...

    Squats - 5x5 90lbs
    Bench - 5x5 55lbs
    Rows - 5x5 55lbs

    ugh...someone needs to come help me unruffle my feathers from yesterday....at least I feel relatively calm today.

    Welcome to Ho and erhower! Sorry I missed that you were new Ho. We've had a lot of ladies join recently (not that I've been here that long) and sometimes it's hard to keep track of who's new.

    Ho, LOVE your tattoo. I think my problem with getting tats is that I'm not artistic at all, so trying to describe what I want and not be able to draw it could end badly for me. That and I'm a really cheap mofo.

    Anyways. Annoying day at the gym since all the arc trainers were full when I got there. :grumble: Had to start on the elliptical, then switch over when someone got off. But, stupid machine gave me another warm up since it was a program. Oh well.

    And still trying to wrap my head around a 24hour fitness not open 24 hours. Perhaps they should call it "mostly 24 hour fitness".

    I totally read that as Donkey Tricks, and was gonna asked how those were done, bwahahaha!!!!!! :glasses:

    After I got home, ate a little, shopped a little (I grabbed portabello caps and am going to make a nummy lunch out of them tomorrow), took a cat nap, I woke up not hating everyone in the world, and I'm feeling ridiculously good today.
