I confess I might have to get an mri on my ankle. I am coming up on week 6 now and my ankle hurts every morning. I know I might be pushing it but I am still not running and only doing upper body strength and slow stationary bike for cardio. I just want to be able to do my normal activities.

Ankles are mad old things. They're so small, yet cause so much discomfort when damaged. 3 months later and I can still feel a pain from when I twisted mine. But that doesnt mean to say I dont exercise it, cos I do!! You have to work to strengthen it again after you've been resting it for weeks.

Good luck with the scan. Once that is clear, I just would ease yourself back into it. Listen to if it's cracking or not!!! :flowerforyou:

Hate to tell you MM but it took a full year for my ankle to get back to where it is now and it still twinges every now and then. At minimum start wearing a compression sock and make sure you have nice support sneakers on

I am still wearing a brace. The reason they said I should have an mri if it is still not feeling better after 6 weeks is due to my history of sprains.

I confess I have a gym date one day this week with an MFP friend who helped me find a gym close by :) We haven't gotten to meet yet, and it's only for the first couple times going since she lives on the other side of the city, but I'm really excited! :D

Mmm...love fat tire. First tasted it last year when I was out west, now they sell it here in Michigan. My favorite that they still don't sell around here tho is Yeungling. Had it on the east coast and was delicious.

the old company I used to work for would have monthly meetings. It was awesome meetings because they would cater with food, like pizza and beer! I tried Fat Tire at one of these meetings and it was good!

I confess I have nothing to add to the beer discussion, just commenting so the new thread will continue to show up on my feed. Anyone got plans for the long weekend?

I had a few Beck's on Labor Day weekend. Nothing since and probably won't until I go to Las Vegas again next month. I don't like to drink and drive and if I drink at home, I do it alone. That's kind of pathetic. Work is about to get crazy busy so I am taking vacation time Wednesday - Friday just so I don't lose it at the end of the year. No real plans. A da trip to a casino to play poker, maybe go to Chicago since my gf's sister is running the Chicago Marathon on Sunday and helping a friend move on Friday night and Saturday morning.

I confess I am feeling a bit giggly and flustered right now. I went to get coffee as a little study break treat, and the attractive young man who handed me my coffee gave me the cutest smile ever and said, "Keep smiling". I giggled and said, "Aw, thanks!"

And I know that was kind of an eight grade story, but it totally made my night :blushing:

Soooo I rock , I kick @ss, and I'm bloody awsome (last one was for my ladies over the pond) ... Not 1 hour after I posted my resume I got a call back and have an interview on fridays. Job pays about a dollar more and is a little futher up north (about 40 mins) which is good since my ex and his GF are want to move to about the same area and were asking me if I would be willing to move my kids to a charter school up there.

Well, I didn't really have time. I was also caught off-guard. It's usually older men who say stuff like that to me. A lot of younger guys aren't that confident haha
