How's everyone doing? So far we survived the first 7 days of the year.0

Excellent motivation indeed MPD6944 - you could always make different lengths - 30, 45 and 60 - once you have comfortably reached the lower ones you can pop in a longer playlist and see how long it takes you to reach the new goal. By reducing your playlist time down - you'll feel like you've reached your goal and see the results of your new stamina. Keep it going!0 -

I usually watch an hr long tv show that I love while I am on the elliptical. Takes my mind off how many minutes I have left on it...:)

Both of the chicken recipes sound great & I'll be trying them soon. I've also made some of the recipes found in the Hello Healthy section of MFP & my family also likes them. I think they just like that I cook for them!0

Fit Tip Friday: There are 1440 minutes in the day...you CAN find 30 minutes spare to exercise today ⏰0

Whoo Hooo! I logged 3.2 miles in 24 degrees with a 7 mph wind. It was a little chilly!!! Yesterday it was 11 degrees and I decided that I did not have enough layers to attempt that temp with a 15 mph wind. I admire all my family and friends who live in northern climates!!
My food choices have not been the best for the past couple of days!! I am going to get back on ;the straight and narrow and treat these past few days as a "bump" in the road!!
How do you refocus?0 -
PATIENCE. Let's be honest here. You will not drop 2 pants sizes over night. You won't lose 50 pounds in a month. YOU and I are going to binge here and there. We will eat the wrong thing once in a while. BUT we keep trying. The path to better health is not straight. We will have our GOOD moments and our BAD moments. We are human. But nothing great is ever accomplished without a few obstacles. SO KEEP GOING and Have a great workout weekend.0

Very well said. Great food for thought. Have yourself a great weekend as well.

I spent the first 4 days in hospital and had my gall bladder removed. Haven't been able to exercise as required to rest. Still managed to lose 3.4lbs.0

WHEN: You're on a run and hit a tough hill
THINK: This hill is tough, but I am tougher
WHEN: Your to-do list has you tempted to skip a workout
THINK: Exercise gives me energy and makes me feel happy
WHEN: Your muscles are fatigued and you still have one more set left
THINK: I am powerful, I am unstoppable
WHEN: You argue that there’s no way you’re putting on spandex-anything today
THINK: 30 minutes of effort, lifelong rewards
WHEN: You feel defeated that your Warrior I looks nothing like the instructor’s pose
THINK: Strong, focused, determined
How do you push through that annoying voice in your head?
Sounds like you're on the steady road to recovery Onoiam50 - glad you're still with us in this challenge. Slow and steady still wins the race.
Happy Sunday Team MFP CC0 -
Hello to all the Calorie Counting Countesses!!! Yesterday I did an 8.5 mile walk, getting ready for a half marathon on March 1st. It was cold and I was tougher than the cold!! I spent the afternoon waiting on AT&T to fix some connectivity problems. While waiting I made a great low fat turkey chili and portioned it out into containers and put most of it in the freezer for lunches!!
Today we have a light freezing drizzle and my outdoor activity is cancelled.
Onoiam50 I hope your road to recovery is a speedy one. Give your body all the time it needs to heal. Do Not Try to Rush!
Tomorrow I am trying spiralized zuchinni with quinoa!! I will let you know!!0 -

It's the first weigh-in for our team today so head over to the weight loss spreadsheet when you get a chance. I don't have a scale at home so will add mine as soon as I can.0

Fantastic - love that you don't let that crazy weather of yours stop you in your tracks. Chilli Turkey sounds yummy.0 -
Good Morning ladies kindly register your weight for the first weigh in. Thanks0

Finally made Steel cut oats in my crock pot this week. First attempt was the Banana Nut Oatmeal I got from Julia's crock pot group. Apparently my crock pot was too hot and burned a bit on the edges despite the fact I did spray with oil first. (Still tasted very good!) Next time I tried it without the Bananas and nuts and cooked this morning when I was home to watch it. Cooked in only 3 hours (I must have a super hot crock pot) Have to say I do like the steel cut oats and they really stick with you! Nice on a cold day!0
