9.02 miles in 1:28:46 with the whole family as bicycle escorts. Was so nice to have them, made the miles go by so much easier. I made them promise to accompany me for the next few weekends! Felt great to start, but as the 9th mile came closer I wasn't sure i could do 4 more... we shall see I suppose. Was still running right around a 10 min mile at the end, so i suppose I have room to slow down if that's what it takes to get the half done.

Great week everyone! Keep it up!!

@poke987 I thought about you on Saturday as I was watching the local 1/2 marathoners run by. At least 4 pregnant women running (a couple looked like they could have their baby at any minute!)

Saturday afternoon, I ran my last long run before my half. 12 miles in 2:04:33. Felt good throughout, even managing the last 2 miles in under 10 minutes each!

Wow, that is incredible! I wish I was just that bit faster, but I haven't put the work in. Well done :-)

@Ceci_O_K sounds like you are in a great spot heading into your race! Way to go!!

I bought a "running for 2" tshirt to wear, if I make it to race day! I hope I have a cute bump and don't just look all chubby like I do now... and that i dont huff and puff my way around the course! I'd love to look cute and fit and obviously pregnant! Sounds a little vain to type it out like that... but... we saw a woman at a 5k race I did last year, and she looked great, I was so impressed! I want to be her! I suppose I'd better focus on my miles, and just be happy if I make it... but after 2 overweight pregnancies I'd love to be that cute lady at the race!

I was looking back at my runs when I first started c25k just under 2 years ago. My pace was closer to 13 minute miles. When I finished c25k, pace was around 11:30. Now, I feel like I could run all day at about a 10:20 or 10:30 pace. More running definitely equates to a faster pace!

I took my bike out yesterday for a planned 20 mile ride. The weather was beautiful! About 12 miles in, I stopped at an intersection and failed to unclip my left foot. Of course, that's the way the bike started to lean, so I hit hard on my left arm. I don't think I broke anything, but it's really sore. It shouldn't interfere with my running, but I think I'll be off the bike for a while. :-1:

Well I haven't ran or done any form of exercise for the last 6 days this flu is killing me. Dropped 10 pounds unintentionally. This is one nasty bug.

I was thinking aboutyou today! Looked back to see you hadn't posted in a while... hope you feel better soon!

@Ceci_O_K hope it heals fast for you! What a drag!!

I'm sorry to read about illness and injuries. That's never fun. Hope you are both healed soon.

I ran 4 miles this morning, but had to break down and go get a new rescue inhaler this afternoon. Haven't dealt with asthma in nearly 10 years and after three runs of it hinting at its return (I'd just take a walking break or go slower), I broke down and got one. Thank goodness for walk-in clinics.

Poke - I love the T-shirt idea. I'm sure you'll be the adorable mom at the race. Certainly, you should be congratulated/celebrated for running pregnant! It's not easy!

3.01 miles in 27:21. I actually started out faster, but running buddy needed to slow down. She did her 9 miles yesterday was a little sore today and wanted a slower pace... Bummer since I felt so good, but she runs to my pace all the time, it was the least I could do!

No arm pain during my 4 mile run yesterday! I have some very colorful bruising, but not much pain.

My run incorporated some fast intervals (15 - 60 seconds) with 3 minutes easy in between. I finished the 4 miles in just over 41 minutes. It was a beautiful day!

3.22 miles in 27:56, a similar route to yesterday, but solo, so i picked the pace and was pretty happy with my splits. Pretty sure its the fastest 5k I've ever done!

@Ceci_O_K glad the arm didn't trouble you!

Great job, @poke987 ! That is fast!

I ran 5 miles yesterday, part of which was gravel or dirt path. At least 2 miles of my half marathon will be on dirt road. I ended up with a PR for that trail and 52:39 for the 5 miles.

On the treadmill today - got 40 minutes on it. One month to go as of today.

    @poke987 you are fast!
@Ceci_O_K how do you like running on gravel/dirt? Maybe dumb question as you got a PR... Is the weather still predicted to be hot?

I actually prefer running on gravel to any other surface. It's so much easier on my feet! This trail has all kinds of holes, dips, rocks, etc., so you really have to pay attention to where you put your feet. It is beautiful, though! It is around Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. There is sculpture and beautiful landscaping throughout. I love it!

The weather for next weekend is looking pretty decent actually.

The race is at 7 AM, so it should be around 60F to start and maybe not above 70F when I finish!

Yesterday I started out downtown and without thinking took off running down the big hill by the art museum. So, I had to finish my 4 miles by running back up the big hill! Finished in 43:45.

Oh my gosh! How long has that museum been there?! I used to go to Bella Vista ALL. THE. TIME. to visit my grandmother (passed away five years ago now) and I never knew this was there. It looks like a fantastic place to go run.

I need to start venturing out more. I tend to just leave from my front door and stay in the neighborhood or some trails, but as I live in what used to be farmland/prairies, there's not a lot of tree cover -- I have to drive to location for that. In the cold, it's not bad, but not much to break the wind and nothing to protect from the sun in the heat.

Good to hear it won't be blazing hot for you. 60-70 is pretty nice and you should be able to keep up your speed and have a great race.

10.05 miles in 1:41:29. Ran from home, the hills were killer and there was a wicked wind... was very difficult after the half way mark, running uphill into the wind. I sent running buddy on ahead of me as I had hubby on his bike as escort. Was discouraged as I watched her head off into the distance, but by the end I had almost caught up. Felt good when I finished, not as confident as last long run... but 10 miles done... my longest run to date, I think!

My in-laws retired to Bella Vista, that's why I'm here! The museum opened on 11-11-11. It's great!

I'm still nursing the sore arm which is keeping me off the bicycle. I rode the stationary bike at the gym on Friday and ran my 6.5 miles (also in the gym) on Saturday. Being off the bike and tapering to my half, I'm pretty inactive, which means I'm hungry!
ETA: not really hungry, just eating over my calorie goal.

3.01 miles in 30:10. Same route I did in 27:21 last week. Sigh. Feeling super bloated and still full from overeating on Easter, plus some soreness in my hips. Honestly I felt plain pregnant today! Running buddy motivated me, I might have knocked off if it weren't for her... not sure I'll pull off 5 tomorrow... might do another 3. I'll see how I feel, and I'll have to look at the weather too as this week had some junk forecasted.
