    We are supposed to get another 3 inches rain today. We are now under flood warnings and high wind warnings for the second day. Gonna brave the elements to get my cycling equipment before things really go to hell. We are in day 2 of a 10 day storm. My son in Bend got 70 knot winds yesterday and more of the same today and he is in the high desert.

    Sometime later: After putting pontoons on my van and picked up my new toy. Gave my new CycleOps Fluid 2 trainer a go. Damn, that is work! I have never worked so hard for 8 miles. Got to turn the heat down, get a fan going and get either music, or torture - I mean training vids going. I do not think I should have started as fast as I did, I over cooked my legs after 7 days off (to me walking don't count!) the bike. Now my son is jealous, wants me to come visit just make sure I bring the trainer along :-) it feels good to get going again.

    12/08 - 08.0 miles cycling trainer
    12/08 - 02.0 miles walking

    Total: 37.0 miles

    Yesterday was a total loss in terms of exercise but I got in a 2 mile walk today. Up to 22 miles.

    I may have to bump up my goal for this month if I can just keep up my activity level. Although my current level is entirely due to five days spent at amusement parks with family. Proof that no matter what they say, the title of one park really does mean "Every Person Comes Out Tired." LOL

    Walked w/DH and Bean in denser fog today than yesterday then got on the bike then went to 1st grade then worked out to a DVD for 30 mins. A good day!

    @JTH11706 - think of it as an unplanned recovery day. :wink: You need one of those every once in awhile.

    Good day for walking yesterday. I wish I could get the headache to let go, but maybe that will happen today. (I hope)

    Added 4.25 miles for a December total of 22.5 miles :)

    Just dropping in to say hi to all! I'm glad to see everyone moving and doing well. It's too hectic this month for me to keep up with the challenge, although I will come in from time to time and say hi. Between therapy(12 hours a week), working, and the holidays, I'm overwhelmed! But I'll be back, come January!!
