I'm in for yellow - I'm an optimist, I'm happy and I love the promise of a positive future - it's good enough for me. Although every bone in my body would have said blue, I want to branch out - be different!!!

I choose yellow too since it's a bright happy color. It makes me think of spring/summer which I'm REALLY looking forward to after all the snow we got last week (yes, I'm one of those wimpy Washington DCers who has a hard time dealing with snow :) )

yay - a team mate! We can both do this! And although I love some snow (not as much as fell in your neck of the woods last week) I too want some wamth and sunshine :)

Do we have a leader yet? My schedule is really busy, so if anyone else wants to step up it is OK with me.

Hi Gloria -- welcome to the team!

Jane -- you were the first to join -- do you want to be team leader? If not, I'm happy to do it. What would we like the leader to do besides being a cheerleader/motivator?

Ok - I'll give being team leader a go - not exactly got a huge amount of spare time so it will be a challenge but maybe that's just what I need! I'm going to turn your question on you though - what would you expect from your leader? Not promising I'll meet everything but I'll try!

And Gloria - welcome to the yellow team :)

Hi Jane and Gloria. Looking forward to starting the challenge tomorrow? I got my Sunday starting weight this morning and my spreadsheet ready to track my points. WooHaa! Still trying to figure out how to get 500 calories of exercise per day to get the 10 point bonus at the end. It's a challenge for me to get 30 - 40 min of "formal" exercise in per day plus 10K steps (the 10K steps per day is on hold until the snow melts off the sidewalks -- walking on the street is a no starter for me).

As far as team leader, I think just checking in with the team on this thread everyday to see how things are going is fine with me - plus you get points for that LOL.

    Good luck everyone!

Hi Jane - I tried to put my weight 297.2 on the spread sheet, but it is only in view mode for me. I also tried to print off the spread sheet, and I could not. Is anyone else having this problem. I am not that computer savvy. Are we going to forward our weekly totals to you? Please let me know.

welcome both - delighted to have you on board the yellow team!

Gloria - I think you are meant to be forwarding stuff to me but I haven't tried to do anything with the spreadsheet yet so let me play with it first. I did see some instructions on a link in the group so I shall go read them!

ok - here's how I've made it work. Mine opens as view only but if you go to the 'file' drop down menu, you will see the option to 'make a copy'. Click that and it will open in a new web window and you will be able to edit it. Save it to your bookmarks and when you re-open all your changes are still in there. Whether this is the best way, I don't know but it seems to work!

Forward your weekly totals to me each Sunday and I will combine in to a team sheet and forward on.

Hope the above makes sense but let me know if not :)

How would you like us to forward totals to you? Will it work if we attach our spreadsheet to a post in this thread at the end of the day on Sunday?

BTW -- I downloaded the spreadsheet to my laptop, uploaded it to google drive under my gmail account, and then opened it in edit mode using google docs.

    - should have had a question mark after it!!

Pattie - I think adding your spreadsheets to a message in here each Sunday should work - let's try it for the first week and see how we get on!

So are we ready for this team yellow? It's Monday morning and my day can only go up - my little boy has been up most of the night with a raging temperature so I've been doing shifts looking after him with my husband. Now at work with a cup of tea and a glass of water - challenging myself not to hit the snacks and unhealthy food just because I'm tired!

Looking forward to you guys checking in - lets do this and see how we get on at the end of the day :)

I'm ready! Almost done my midnight shift and managed to avoid the snack machine and even got in some exercise and stretching! I'm going to hopefully get in a walk when I get home before I hit the sack :)

Hopefully your little guy feels better, nothing worse then watching your kids in pain :'(

Oh no! A cool bath might help bring it down a bit but hopefully whatever he has is just passing through and he'll be back to his old self tomorrow :)

Hi Team Yellow! Here's to a successful week for all of us. This challenge has already has a positive effect on me since I pre-planned all my meals for today last night in order to make sure I got in the required fruit and veggie servings. It'll also force me to go grocery shopping regularly so I don't run out of fruits and veggies -- hate to lose out on 3 or 5 points b/c I was lazy. :p

Evening team! Well, I've had an interesting day - part expected work, part unexpected childcare but we've got him to bed so fingers crossed! Patti - I agree this has already had a positive effect - there is a bar of chocolate in my bag that I would normally have eaten, likely on the train to pick my boy up. But today - well, I don't want to miss out on my sugary treats points on day 1 and let the team down - so it is still in my bag :). Not sure I'll make my veg target today so must do better across the week - happy with fruit intake though.

Gloria - no problem, hope it is all working ok for you now.

Hope we have all had good days and here's to the rest of the week. See you all tomorrow :)

Good morning all - well here anyway, I have to remember I'm in the UK! Am I the only UK girl here? Apologies for any time gaps in communications if that is the case.

Working from home today and hoping my little boy gets through the day at nursery - I'll be working tonight to make up hours if he doesn't! Bottle of water on my desk and hoping that I might even sneak in a workout later today - remind myself how tough Jillian Michaels can be on my legs :)

Have a good day all and catch up later.

Morning Jane! I whipped together a spreadsheet for everyone to use with tabs for each person to update and have one place for you to look instead of having multiple people messaging you. If you'd rather not use it thats fine I just thought it migbt be easier :)https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1zsC_OsoBtJNv-iILju2KZrCuhDoMc-qKk3MDGYFpPek/edit?usp=docslist_api

Excellent - thank you Cassandra. Thought about doing this but didn't get round to it.

Team: happy for you to either save this sheet and update it or send me your figures individually.

Thanks Cassandra for the spreadsheet -- brilliant idea! I like Google docs I just have a hard time getting used to not having to "save" what I've entered.

So how did Team Yellow do on Day 1? I earned 32 points for the team.

    Here's to everyone having a successful Day 2. :)

No problem Patti, it gave me something to do at work last night :) I know what you mean about saving I away look for the save button before I remember lol.

32 point for me as well but it's only day 2 and I know it's only going to get harder to keep my numbers up. Hopefully day 2 goes as well as day 1!
