bad: 128 this morning fasting and after one piece of banana bread it was 155. It normally is not that high, but these allergies or cold seems to be putting everything higher. Somebody know of a list of recommendations for diabetic foods when sick? ? It seems the ADA still has a lot of sugar and I do not really feel like eating a lot but am craving easily digestable protein.

Doesn't all the literature say that you can expect higher Blood sugars when sick? Maybe just do the whole 'starve a fever, feed a cold thing" and eat sparingly until you're better?

I'm on a clear fluid for the next couple of days because of pancreatitis and doctor's orders, so my sugars are low for me. 5.0 (90)

    Good luck

better today at 110. I have been eating frequent lower carb or low quantity items. Post-meal testing shows decent numbers. @judyvalentine512 - hope your pancreatitis flares subside :)

Glad you're doing better. I'm feeling better this morning, so fingers crossed, it will continue this way.

6.0 108 Still low, but yesterday was clear fluid day. Today I've graduated to porridge and soup with noodles in it.

Today was 132--my fault. I forgot to take my metformin last night. I saw it on the placemat at breakfast this AM--oops :)
