I am not going to use this forum to provide EXCUSES, I just wanted to let you all know that I am committed to the challenge and it is looking really good that I will have a loss this week! I chose to do my weigh in on Mondays to help me stay on track over the weekend (kinda backfired last week! ) I thought about just not posting but I am not giving up! I have been reading all of the posts here daily, thanks for all of the tips and motivation!
Go team!
I love your energy and great attitude in this post! Weekends are tough and I think its awesome you made your weigh in day Monday to try to help you stay accountable over the weekend.
I am glad you are continuing because we should never let one set back define us in any challenge. We can always bounce back and work hard the next week. I look forward to seeing your weigh in on Monday!
Stay strong!!britnaii22 wrote: »You guys!! Can't even believe how much walking I did today but I should with how I'm feeling (this isn't even the full amount, my phone died at 6 and we kept walking around until 10).. So sore! Visited NY City today and saw so much! I even ate decently considering the temptations here. Hope you all are doing good this weekend
That is awesome!!! It's crazy how when we travel to big cities like that, we can get a TON of walking in. Especially staying on point with eating decently is great motivation! Keep it up0 -

Thanks everyone! And good job to everyone. Actually doing something to manage ones weight/health can be extremely difficult to start and keep doing. By participating and working to better your self you are a winner!0

Too funny!
I had a NSV this morning, my pants are finally getting loose, so I definitely have renewed motivation!
Also, thought I'd share this, I still love this quote -

I love that!!!!! & my pants are getting loose also!!! lol...i think my butt is shrinking Gonna be squats all week for me!!!0

I did that squat challenge last month and it's phenomenal!! Made me get squats into my daily routine. Seriously, it's 'easy' to drop 20 squats here and there. I'm already 100+ squats today.
Let's keep it up guys! What's something we all want to accomplish this week?
I really want to get up early on Tuesday and Thursday and get some working out done before work. Wednesday and Friday I have PT, so I'm forced to get up, but I've been known to sleep until the last possible minute before work. So I'm setting my alarm for earlier those two days and will either go for a walk around my neighborhood, or if it's raining (like it says it will), get some yoga done.0 -
We lost over 29 lbs as a team!!!' I feel blessed to be part of a great team. I gained this week but I am getting right back on the horse to keep doing the thing with food and exercise. This is the only place I have team support due to my busy schedule and I believe everyone is capable of some success. After all...we all believed it when we signed up for this lol let's keep going!0
-
P.S. squats really really hurt my bad knees, any alternative?0
-
@303lissy - Do you think that the squat challenge is more of a strength training workout? I just remembered for this challenge the best thing for us to be doing is cardio to help drop pounds fast
If that's the case, I'll hold off until May to start it0 -
britnaii22 Count me in on the Squat Challenge! I cant wait to report my progress!!!!!
Squats a definite YES...flat booty a DEFINITE NO.... Lmbo!!!!!0 -

Thanks for the info on squats...looking at those numbers had me a lil nervous!
Glad to know that it's doable!
Let's all do a10 Minute HIIT or Tabata workout each day....added toour regular workout of course! Either burns more calories in 10 mins than most ppl would think! And it's only 10 mins!
You can find the workouts on YOUTUBE!0 -
@strength_76 - Maybe we could do some boxing instead? Every time someone on The Biggest Loser show had a lower body injury they would have them do some swimming or boxing for a good cardio workout. And they would drop weight really fast doing so too! I don't know much about boxing but I'll look up some workouts on youtube and see if I can find something that would interest everyone! Feel free to look too0

Donkey kicks for the gluts are great! Use a pillow under your stationery knee for comfort!0 -
HIIT and Tabata tends to involve a lot of jumping, which my leg just won't allow right now, so that's out for me

Boxing is always a great workout! So is dancing, and dancing is fun!
Put on your favorite music...you know...that music that makes you jump up and dance...yes that music and START DANCING!!!! REPEAT until you are working up a GOOD sweat!0 -
So as you know my scale is broke. I got a new one today and reweighed myself, I weigh 234.1 as of today!!!0
-
Goal: is to get down to 225 with this challenge!0
