Wavesssssss while I wait for the car place to take me home. Car said 92 when I got in this afternoon ewwwww lol :)

    Hi Kel
Does this mean Your car needed service? I have no doubt that cars here in NJ were that hot or hotter where the Sun was hitting them. It hit 91 in Newark, NJ and near 90 where I am :( To early for that!

Hm. Didn't get any painting done today. We were moved from our classroom because they had scheduled a driving class in there, and then the teacher decided she wanted to go over tips and tricks. Just discussion, so. Anyway, I'm more of a hands on person and understand much better how things work when I try them, even if I don't get it right, I can understand what the idea of it is. By the time we got back to where we had a table to work on, it was just about time to leave, and all I had time for was to do a little masking. Maybe I'll work on that a little at home, although I don't usually make time for painting at home.

    Hi Vix
I am a hands on type myself so I understand what You mean. I am not sure what masking is.

Masking for watercolors is usually a liquid rubbery substance that you can paint onto your paper where you want to leave it white. Paint around it and then peel it off to reveal the white. Some people also used masking tape or other tapes, but you have to be more careful with those not to ruin the paper.
Hope you have a good holiday too. :) Happy weekend. :)

    Hi Vix
Thanks for the explanation. I wonder if the Blue painters tape would work?

    Enjoy the Holiday Weekend

    Hi Vix
I was wondering about that since it designed to be easily removed and leave no residue behind.

I got out today, walked, returned and Mowed then Brought the BBQ grill to clean in the Kitchen Sink. BBQing today due to the weather forecast. I brought the grill in and scrubbed it in the sink to protect the finish on the wires. Interesting item in the news the other day about people getting hurt from using wire brushes to clean their BBQs. It seems that some of them have left pieces of the wire behind that got overlooked and ended up in their Burgers and then in the people eating them, Not good.

    Enjoy the Holiday

I made a bird feeder this morning out of one of the shallow bowls I made that I didn't really like so much. We had a hood from an old bird feeder that I could attach it to. I'm sure the birds will appreciate the free food...haha....and it will give us a chance to watch them. :)

My Brother brought home a plastic kit that converts a Water bottle into a bird feeder :)
    Yours sounds better.

    Hi
I haven't headed out yet for my walk, It is drizzling outside and appears from the weather report that it should be out of here on a while. Front porch in the mid 60s so that will be OK today.

Have a Good Friday & enjoy the upcoming Weekend

    Hi Vix
The Year they built under the window AC it was the one in the bedroom and I did not have the heart to get rid of it once I realized it was there since I did not notice it until they hatched and started making noise. Hard to sleep late that way however.

When You say under the shutters do You mean between the shutter and the house as I suspect?

    Cheers

Yes, but hubs is right on it and gets rid of them before they get too far in the building process. ( A leaf blower works well). A couple of years ago, some birds built a nest on my daughters front door wreath...they didn't notice until there were eggs, so they waited until the babies were able to fly...but what a mess! They had to throw out the wreath, disinfect the door, and constantly clean the porch.

    Hi Vix
I agree birds can make one heck of a mess especially when they are taking care of chicks.

I'm glad to know that at least my memory is working OK.

Well I'm off to breakfast, Yesterday I had the Turkey Sausage & Egg Muffin at 180 calories + 20 from the cheese I added 1/2 slice of cheese for taste at 20 calories, Today I am having the Canadian Style Turkey Bacon, Egg and Cheese Muffin at 150 calories, I do pull the cheese out of it before Microwaving it and then add it back in once it is heated. Plus a NS Coffee Shake Mix Protein shake. I already had my Banana before going out walking.

I had an OK night, Woke up a little early however, Early night tonight most likely.

    Have a Great Day

I didn't sleep much either...only 5 hours. I keep hoping for 6 or 7. Walked around the neighborhood and watered the houseplants. I'm sure I will find more things to do!
    Enjoy your day. :)

    Hi Vix
No houseplants, only ones recently planted and some still in the pots they were started in. My Brother is trying to get the Sunflowers large enough that whatever it is that eats them off down to the ground will not do that. A few made it into bloom last year, although most got eaten off and only had stubs sticking up when set out. This year they are bigger than last year.

Have a Good Day and Stay Dry

    Hi Vix
I was sitting at the computer and when I looked out the Window Yesterday around 5:30PM I saw the rain start up, then the Wind picked up and the rain poured down briefly and then it was done and things started drying out. The nearby town had .51 inches of rain according to the News12 weather report.

A few power outages to the north of me but considering that the wind gusts hit 60MPH in parts of the state that is not too bad.

I have changed when I take my Vitamins from after my walk to with Dinner and that seems to help with my energy levels when I get out walking in the morning.

Yesterday was a lazy day after the morning walk and Supermarket run. I did hit over 10k steps too.

    Have a Great Monday

Hi Roger....we had a power outage today...???? When we were coming home from class, all the street lights were out on the main road into my town, no police directing traffic, flares preventing people from making turns across the road....it was very strange, but most drivers were being polite and the intersections were pretty much working like 4 way stops. There wasn't any rain or much wind or anything, don't know what caused it. I think it lasted about an hour or so. It came back on about a half hour after I got home.
I usually take my vitamins in the a.m. with half a glass of almond milk, before I forget! But it's good to do whatever works best for you.
    Have a good night. :)

    Hi Vix
if this is Your power company it may have been planned :(
    https://www.bge.com/safetyreliability/reliability/stormsoutages/pages/planned-outages.aspx
    Planned Electrical Outages
To provide you with consistently reliable electric service, BGE must maintain its electrical equipment. To perform this maintenance safely, we turn off the power in designated work areas for a short time. If work is scheduled in your area, we will contact you by mail well in advance and provide complete information including the date, time and length of the outage.

Occasionally, we will cancel a scheduled outage due to severe weather or other operating conditions.

The list on that page for example shows two planned outages, on cancelled and one On Schedule. The page I linked also has a phone number You can call for the latest information. FWIW If I call PSE&G my gas and electric company about an outage I get a call back telling me what happened.

The other possibility would be equipment failure or somebody hitting a pole.

I find the switching to taking the vitamins after my dinner gives me better energy for my walk as compared to taking them with Breakfast after I walk :)

As You say most drivers are courteous, there are always a few that feel the need to rush unfortunately.

    Have a Nice Day

    Good morning!
I checked the local news. It was actually Potomac Edison. "... says an equipment failure at a substation knocked out a major distribution line." It was all fixed within a couple of hours. I had to think about that, we use both BG&E and Potomac. Our town is in 3 different counties, I guess their jurisdictions overlap here. :)
Hope you have a good day too. :)

So far so good. Interesting that Your town has two different power companies and is in three different counties. That must make for a interesting tax map.

I guess so! I think that's why we have town taxes to cover some local services like snow removal and collecting trash. We'd probably be last at the far reaches of each county. oops...the town actually has areas in 4 counties!

    Hi Vix
NJ is not known for low property taxes either. However the town does a pretty good job of Snow removal, garbage pickup, And plenty of nice well maintained parks.

    Have a Nice Evening
