I've noticed a trend in my weight loss that it stops for a few days, and maybe even goes up a pound, and then suddenly drops, and then repeats the cycle. I understand that water weight and by mere fact of whether your body has gotten rid of that dinner you ate makes a difference. I don't know if anybody else experiences that or not.
Can't say I've been doing this long enough to find a trend, plus I don't weigh everyday... I'm very interested in trends though so may start weighing daily...

I'm going the wrong direction... Don't understand why but it's not because of eating off plan foods so I'm not worried about it. It'll sort itself out.

CW 203 (6/16/16)
GW 120 (5/28/17)
So, after I fell off the wagon last week I didn't get back on it. I'm back on it today though and trying to hold on for dear life! ; ) I've got to do this!3 -
SW: 263.1 (5/13/16) - low carb start date
CW:252.1 (6/16/16)
GW: 1403 -
It's Thursday but I'll post.
SW (like February 5th?) 131 lbs
CW: 117.9 lbs
GW: Was 112, now I am not so sure.
I'm mostly chillaxing on weight. I'm not in maintenance per se, but I am working on my half-marathon training also have been investing a lot of time in my CASA volunteer training. I'll check in on calories and how I want to athletically train (probably switch to lifting) after mid-July. I imagine my weight will continue to be 117.5-118.5 for a while. I would hope so anyway.2 -

This is totally normal; fat/weight loss is never linear. Best way to see it is with an app that shows you what your trend is rather than looking at each day as its own separate weight. Then you will notice the steady downtrend over the long run. Can't remember the name of the app here but quite a few use it. Weight Tracker or Happy Scale are two I've seen. I don't use them as I have been in maintenance for a couple years now, but it can be very encouraging if you are a bit obsessive about the scale.
Highest Weight: 166 lbs - Oct 2013
GW range: 132-136
CW: 142.2 (I haven't been eating low carb for a few months, lol - now back to under 50g net for weight loss, then anything under 125g net works for me for maintenance)
I want to get back to my 18.5% BF (not bad for a 52 y.o. woman )4 -
Hi...I am new to this group but not this way of eating. 17 years ago I weighed 333lbs. I lost 200lbs and have kept it off except 30lbs I yo yo back and forth with. That yo yoing began when I switched from low carb to vegan. At first I lost the addition 15lbs I was plateaued on but over the next 8 years I struggled and kept going up and down 20 to 30lbs from bingeing and major restriction. I won't let myself get above this point but that being out of control really scares me. When I was low carb all cravings went away. SO....I gave up being vegan 2 years ago but haven't been successful losing and keeping of the 30lbs I am up. No longer into the major restriction, menopause, and lost my day 1 and 1/2 years ago and turned to food for comfort. Now I am back to my roots and low carb. Glad I found this group!!
SW: 333 ( that was 17 years ago)

GW: 133 (to get back into all my skinny jeans)8 -

SW - 294lbs (21st)
Mid Feb - 276.5lbs (19st 10.5lbs)
7th Jun - 250lbs (17st 12lbs)
14th Jun - 247lbs (17st 9lbs) lost 3lbs this week total loss so far is 47lbs
21st Jun - 250lbs (17st 12lbs) not sure why but put on 3lbs this week so back to 44lb loss - I did go over carbs a few days this week so its probably water weight. I am going to change my carb allowance to enable me to eat a bit more variety and see if I can lose doing that - if not will go back to carnivorous diet
GW - 140lbs (10st)1
