Had a really rough week... Full blown shark week, a chocolate/hormone fail... topped off by our belated anniversary celebration that turned into a mega cheat on Sunday... I've been fighting my way back to getting on track and managed to squeeze out that wee little loss. I'll take it!! I felt thinner all day yesterday and my clothes aren't so freakin' tight now, so that's something.

I'm thinking I may be at my goal weight...ultimately I wanted to get down to 150 but I haven't lost any weight since April. Well, I take that back, I got down to 179.8 on May 4 but I've been bouncing around the 185 mark all along. My logging is non-existent and I know I don't follow low carb as closely as I had been at the beginning. I'm fine maintaining through the summer I think. I do exercise most days. I feel pretty good in my size 10 pants and medium shirts. I do have quite a bit of loose skin but that's from weighing almost 300 pounds before I underwent gastric bypass surgery in 2008. That will never go away without surgery. I was able to get down to 160 after surgery but that weight slowly crept back because...well...life. I'm ashamed I let myself get back up to 234. I didn't want to be one of "them people" that has surgery and then gains all the weight back.

I haven't been sneaking carbs as much this last week and I've been more consistently exercising. I've been taking my 120# Neapolitan Mastiff for a 2+ mile walk in the morning instead of getting on the treadmill and she LOVES it. And even though it's a pain when she has to keep stopping to sniff and poop, it nice to be outside and I can pick a different route so I have a change of scenery. Shark week is due next week AND I'm going to be at a motorcycle rally over the 4th of July weekend. I plan to stick to low-carb as much as possible, but with only food vendors to choose from, I have already decided I will indulge, but not to the extent I have in the past. I will choose low-carb foods as often as possible, but I'm also not planning to deny myself some yummies. Oh, and much alcohol will be consumed! My drink of choice this year will be "summer hummer" which is lime vodka and orange juice but I will be taking the orange sunrise flavored packets of generic crystal light to mix with water instead of high sugar orange juice. Oh, and probably Bud Select 55 since that is pretty low carb. I will weigh in next week before it's off on the bike, but most likely will NOT weigh in on July 6!

Weight is back up but I expected it to be since I am trying to be more active and walked 1.5 miles a couple days this week so far.
No problems with food choices or hunger and cravings or anything. That stuff is such a no brainer at this point.

it is not my official weigh in day as that is now a Friday but I have been weighing every day as part of my first week on Zero Carb and I am absolutely buzzing from the feeling I get every morning I get on the scales, i know this will slow down after a week but its still amazing to watch - my weight this week has gone as follows:
SW - 1st July - 18st 2.5lbs
2nd July - 18st 1.5lbs
3rd July - 18st
4th July - 17st 11lbs
5th July - 17st 9.5lbs
6th July - 17st 8lbs
so in total this week so far I have lost 8.5lbs can't wait to see how this continues.6 -

I'm more than happy with this weight considering all of the adult beverages that I consumed this weekend. I honestly had no intention of staying low-carb. My eating was ok....it was all the damn alcohol I drank but I don't regret it. I've been eating decent since Monday and I'm extremely happy I wasn't actually about 185 when I weighed in yesterday morning. I was expecting the worst and was pleasantly surprised. My goal for the summer is till to maintain in the low-mid 180's. I'll start trying to actually lose again this fall when all of my fun summer plans are done.1 -
I didn't realize it had been a few weeks since I had checked in and have been feeling like I have been doing terrible these last few weeks but looked back at my last check in and it made me feel so much better! So...

My first post on MFP. Started a regular diet on June 6th, and switched to Keto a couple weeks later (slowly lowered carbs in that time, so had no keto flu symptoms or anything like that).

That said, my "original" start weight in June, 2003, was 210. With LCHF, I lost 50 lbs. in about six months then. Between December, 2003 and now, I've been up and down, with my lowest weight at 152 in 2005 and my highest at 182 in 2010. I have strayed from LCHF many times and then gone back to it because I feel best on this WOE.
In 2007, while in the low 160s, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and had to slow down on my relentless work-out schedule, which, combined with 50-hour work weeks and crap eating, tossed me over the edge and into trouble. Through LCHF and gluten free WOE, yoga and reasonable workouts, I've since overcome fibro and rarely have symptoms now.
I blame stress eating for my jump up to 182 in 2010 - I've since gotten a handle on the stress (mostly) and am now starting to gradually lose some weight again.7 -

I actually weigh daily. It helps me keep accountable to myself. The second goal is my planned keto "bulk", after I kill the fat, that involves a lot of pick things up and put them down. I know my lean mass (148 lbs) due to regular bod pod readings, so BF% is more my true goal than an actual weight.
6/15 - 208.6 lbs - 28.6% BF
6/22 - 208.0 lbs - 28.3%

7/6 - 204.2 - 27% BF (149 lbs lean mass)
