Spent one week with family members eating SAD and managed to stay within my carb level: a miracle!!
Also my Yahoo alerts brought up an article today stating LCHF is the diet Harvard researchers have found to be the best if you wish to lose weight. We at this forum already knew that (could have asked us?) but it was good to see it out there for the rest of the public to read!8 -
I went out yesterday to the beach and met up with some people I haven't seen for a month and they all commented how well I was looking, and mentioned my skin was looking fantastic - which is awesome as I have always struggled with dry skin, but since doing ZC I have noticed I haven't had dry skin on my face much at all and its looking a lot clearer and nicer so it was fantastic for someone else to mention it too. They also commented on my weight loss and said I looked so much slimmer - made me feel fantastic as its so good that its being noticed now16

So gals you enjoyed your trip to the beach!!
Bonus with the compliments! I completely understand that inside cheerleader when you get a compliment on something you've been working on. Write the moment down and stash it in your purse or somewhere you can pull it back out when you are feeling discouraged!!5 -
Some teachers at work who haven't seen me for a month commented on how much weight I've lost (even though its only been a couple of pounds).8

My husband told me this morning that I don't snore anymore, haha!11

Just spent 10 days with my "skinny" side of the family. It was no problem at all turning down every treat and treasure imaginable. They kept commenting on what great will power I have (I don't). Just no cravings.
Also, I was the only one NOT on medications.10 -
I'm back to lifting heavy ( heavy for me at least) Doing strong lifts 5x5. I'm squatting 95 and dead lifting 100 which is right around my own body weight( PS I'm a shorty under 5ft) . Excited to get my arms stronger!5

I found 2 bags of sugar free candy that I bought at some point in the beginning of my Keto life probably about a year ago. They were almost completely full and expired. Lol
My old candy addict self can't even finish 1 bag of sugar free candy in a year when I used to eat almost a movie theater sized box of the full sugar kind a day!
Even though they "technically" fit my carb plan, I've beaten the sweet addiction so well that I just don't want them.16 -
Totally not diet related, but health related. I started going to therapy again. Had my second session today, and actually allowed myself to cry. That's enormous for me. Like so astronomically unlike myself.
I look forward to making sure my mind is just as healthy as my body is gradually becoming.22 -
I drank my BPC with only 4 packets of Stevia...when I first started drinking it I was using about 10 packets. I'm trying to get to where I like it with Zero!13

Been getting up at 4:00am daily to get some exercise in before work. Then our late morning temperatures here in Nor Cal were so lovely this morning that I went for a 30 min walk during my lunchtime. Then after I got home from work a girlfriend called and asked me to try out a Zumba class at our gym. Ok! Let's go!!
Yay for extra energy!!17 -

Ah, man! That's a GREAT one!! Looking forward to that day myself...
MY NSV is that I'm wearing my wedding band today and it's not cutting off my circulation! I had it cleaned about 6 months ago but my fingers were too fat to wear it. It's so awesome wearing my sparkly ring again. Has made me smile all day...
Another NSV is that I noticed I no longer have to contort myself to wipe my butt, or wash it in the shower. I feel like a "normal" human again. Amazing what a HUGE difference less than 15 lbs can make to one's quality of life...
And final NSV... today I had lunch out with my auntie and she was telling me that she's been having trouble eating low carb because whenever my uncle has a craving she has some too. She's never been overweight, but does LC to keep her weight in check... I realized that the only craving I've had is for fresh fruit. All the other sugary crap I used to stuff my face with has lost it's appeal completely. I was planning to have lots of non-keto treats when I go camping at the end of the month, but now I'm rethinking that... I may just indulge in some fresh fruit... LOL WHO AM I?!!

Put on a brand new pair of jeans that were purchased 6 or 7 years ago. They still had the price tag and waist inseam sticker. I originally did not not try them on until I got home and was disappointed they did not fit. However I liked them enough to wait for the day they would. Today they are a little loose and need to wear a belt18

First time in a pair of size 10 dress pants that have been hanging in my closet so long they have actually come back in style! The waist was a bit snug, but that shall be my new marker of progress9

It was a long weekend in BC this past weekend. I went camping up the lake with a bunch of friends and family. This always involves a lot of alcohol (particularly beer) and food! I stayed on plan, drank rum and diet coke, and came home feeling great! Wham bam thank you ma'am!12

Wearing an angora woollen jumper my mother knitted for me 40 years ago when I was a teenager. Still fits me! Angora has such a unique softness and a wonderful subtle warmth.

I just had a little epiphany and ran to the computer for the nearest BMI calculator.
I am no longer considered "obese"! Merely "overweight"! Happy happy happy dance! Makes me even more excited to go to the doctor in September - and I am *never* excited to go to the doctor.

Realising that I haven't logged my food for over a week now and am still on track and losing weight. I can trust myself to do this for the long haul now!12

Same one for me! Congrats to us!12 -

I was in 28 pants and 30 tops when I started. I have lost faster in the top half, by a bit. I can feel my collarbones and it freaks me out a little bit."
Collarbones? What are collarbones? Does everyone have them? Will I have them too?6 -

I think sometimes it's easier to deal with the outside than the inside. Be proud of yourself for taking that step! It is so important to take care of every part of yourself. Amazing victory.7 -
I made cupcakes on Wednesday (a test batch since I'll be making all the cupcakes for my brothers wedding in September) with my fave icing. Didn't even have a taste....didn't even want one either. Yay!8

I've had several NSV's lately. My company Culture Committee held an ice cream social today. Didn't touch it. My wedding ring almost falls off these days too. Weight has stalled for a week or so, but I'm still feeling good about the progress.8

Weight loss is (seriously) just a bonus. I would love to lose all my 80+ pounds alone, but I really really want to be rid of the D monster for life. Kudos to you! \o/16 -
Was told today, "You are like the incredible shrinking man"
Checked my BMI and it has dropped from 31 to 28. Need to drop another 24 lbs to have a normal BMI rating. Need to lose another 33 lbs to reach my goal weight so still have a long ways to go.14 -
Couple things...
My ring is loose, and it's actually shark week lol - I usually bloat more at this time.
Also, even though it's summer, I have only had the a/c on a few times and haven't minded the heat as much (I still HATE summer weather, but my body is not reacting as harshly as usual).11 -
I am now officially the lowest weight I have ever recorded. Its like reaching a mini goal for me - 168 was the smallest number I have ever seen on the scale and I have now hit 167! Victory!22

Congrats!0

Not sure if this counts as an NSV but since losing weight I am really feeling the cold! Only 15 degrees outside but inside I have the oil heater on and I am wearing two tee shirts, two woollen jumpers and a tracksuit top!7
