I had to sit and debate back and forth with myself for about a month before I decided to go ahead and share my progress picture. I'm really happy about how far I've come so far and now I'm trying to focus on building more muscle bulk. I have my Fitbit "motivator" on in the one picture.
Wow! Such amazing progress in a short amount of time! Way to go, you look great!0 -
Awesome work! @ruffneck813
NSV for me today is that I recognized right away what caused me to run off course and fixed it as of today. I'll drop the 6 lbs I put on in no time. Positive attitude!14 -
Damn! Good job @ruffneck813 !!!1

@jassnip thats an awesome NSV! Weight loss or not your health is THE most important thing of all.
And congrats to everyone else as well. These are some great motivators.
For me, I am playing golf more often and bought myself a carrying bag. So now I don't use any type of cart and carry my clubs on my back. Great excerise11 -
@ruffneck813 Great progess! Thanks for sharing.1

@ruffneck813 Damn dude! you are hot! Great work.
@daylitemag Thank you. Can I just say, I'm impressed with hauling golfclubs around the course. I know I couldn't do it.2 -
Finally my size 10's (US) and 14 (UK) fits me!! I am currently doing my happy dance.

I've got 2- My ultimate goal was about 8 lbs less than I am now, but I've been stalled for a while so I've been trying to embrace my current weight as my new goal. Then I realized the other day that I've been at this weight for two months now. This is the smallest I've ever been as an adult, and I've managed to maintain it for two months. Woot woot!
Also I joined a gym and hired a trainer to help me gain back some of the muscle I've lost over the past 16 months. She told me I look fit! Who, me? Lol.17 -
Thanks for the morale boost everyone! The "before" and "in progress" pictures I posted are about 6 months apart but I was already starting to work towards this for months prior to taking the first photo. Seriously commit ed to a LCHF way of eating and also working out at the gym when time permits. The last pic was taken end of July and I just turned 50 in August. I'm definitely digging this new healthier way of life!10

Okay my NSV that I just have to add today.
My collarbone! Sounds so stupid to put here but it's something that had made me smile since yesterday afternoon. I've actually been irritating my skin because subconsciously I've been feeling it and rubbing it because I'm just so dang happy about it being noticeable!!16 -
My scrub pants were getting really baggy and even with tying them tighter having a hard time staying up. I bough a size down when my pants went on sale and I feel so much less frumpy! They fit so nicely and form to my basic shape without being tight. It's a weird feeling, but I love seeing my legs looking like they're supposed to in scrub pants.18

That's awesome @karebear5891 I remember driving in the car one day glancing down at my legs and being thrilled they were mine. The best is yet to come for you! Keep noticing those things and shout 'em out!4 -
Also, just as an extra side note, I was in 2x which they charged and extra $2 for and I bought these in XL which have no extra charge! It felt good being able to pay normal price instead of having to pay more for my size.14

@ProCoffeenator It's not silly at all! It's one of the NSV's I'm looking forward to -- being able to see my collar bones again. I've always considered them the sexiest part of a woman's décolletage.1

These are all great. And awesome pictures! Congratulations!1

Got rid of my last fat clothes and a lot of clutter from my house, too! I'm now keeping 2 sizes worth instead of 6! My house is starting to feel lighter and nicer.
I feel so upbeat right now, I can hardly stand it...even though I need to relose 15 pounds to get back to my maintenance struggles.
It's so fun to feel like my body is normal enough to not worry about it and just get out in the world. Makes all the struggles and hard food choices worth it.
I can feel great possibilities looming for me, even though Mercury is retrograde. Lol.
Have a great weekend, pals.15 -
I feel so much more in control of my relationship with food. Yesterday our new boss at work ordered pizza, which I wasn't even tempted by. However, he told me he specially ordered a gluten free pizza for me because he heard I have an allergy. I didn't want to seem ungrateful so I had 2 small slices, previously I would have eaten the entire small pizza without giving it a thought. I later hit the gym for an hour on the treadmill to help burn the extra glycogen and woke up this morning feeling great and down 0.2lbs.17

NSV today. I had promised my team if they accomplished a certain task by Wednesday that I would buy pizza on Friday. They got it done, so today I drove a half hour from the office to pick up 10 of the best pizzas in Austin. Drove back to the office smelling them the whole way, took them in, and ate tuna, baby spinach, mayo and Parmesan cheese. Not even tempted to eat pizza. They loved the pizza, and were very supportive and encouraging. I love my team.
My car still smells like pizza too.12 -

Way to go!
Last February, before I started low carb, I picked up pizzas for one of the shifts doing inventory. That was 80 pizzas in my Yaris - not exactly an easy feat. Steamed up my windows and I had to roll them down (even though it was Feb., so a bit chilly) so I could see. I drive a Toyota Yaris hatchback - had 3 stacks behind the back seat, 3 stacks across the back seat and 2 stacks on the passenger seat (1 stack from floor to windshield and a 2nd stack from seat to the top of the headrest. Not sure what I would have said if I got pulled over, but it was not far and I took back roads so I could go slowly and take turns very cautiously so as not to lose any.7 -
I moved the clasp on my FitBit to be one notch smaller (and I've been on the smaller band for a while now). I'm wearing a shirt that I've not worn since the day after I purchased it - over 1.5 years ago.15

LOL. I just googled a Yaris to get a real visual of 80 pizzas!2 -
1) When people call me small (I was never this small even in high school!)
2) Finding clothes that fit (except in length, can't change my height...lol)
3) Being able to stand and walk for extended periods of time ( I work 2 retail jobs)14 -

Congrats!
It took me a little bit to get used to people saying positive things about my size. The first time, my crew was at the grocery store and a guy came up to chat and made a comment about "used to be thin like this guy" as he motioned towards me. My initial reaction was one of "you &^#$ing ^%$er &^#$^%!" Fortunately that was all in my head, he was being serious.3 -

I would have taken a photo, but there were a lot of people waiting for pizza and I didn't want to spend the time making them wait any longer. The part that is kitten about that, though, is that I backed my car right up to the door (basically backed up the walkway from the parking lot to the main entrance) and grabbed a stack. As everyone is waiting and I'm making several trips (maybe about 200-300 ft. inside the building past 2 sets of double doors) to carry stacks of pizzas, people are just standing there watching. Like really?! If everyone grabs a few pizzas, this can be done in about 1 minute! Finally after a dozen trips or so, I told some people they should help and that sped things up a lot.3 -
Amazing....stand by and watch...1

I'm out of town visiting my hubs family.
This morning they had a ton of breakfast foods set out for us to eat. Hubs other brother and his family came too. There's a lot of us so it was a lot of food.
I drank my normal coffee while everyone loaded up on bagels and cereal.
Then we played kick ball and my energy was noticeably higher than anyone else's. I'm also older than my sister in laws. My energy was more comparable to the kids and teens.
Then they were all "starving" so we went in for lunch.
I had meat and cheese and wasn't actually hungry yet, but I didn't want to go digging for food after they put everything up.
Then we went on a walk to a nearby park and river. I kept having to stop and wait for everyone trailing behind. I didn't realize I kept getting ahead. I played on the equipment at the park while every other adult sat in the shade too.
3 miles later we get back and everyone needs a snack and to rest. I just had some salt and water and I feel fantastic!33 -
I was at the grocery store yesterday and my hubby and I are walking down the baking isle looking for the no sugar jello packs when my nose (which I never knew there was anything wrong with) catches a big whiff of sugar. It was too sweet! Several other times I've caught smells that were pretty strong, but my hubby can't smell them when I point them out. So apparently my sniffer is healing/improving.7

I bought this hoodie a year ago having tried the same size in other hoodies, I found this one and grabbed it assuming it would fit. Lo and behold, I leave Martha's Vineyard, get home and the front of the hoodie won't even meet. *sigh* I relegate it to the back of my closet thinking maybe some day or else I'm going to give it to my mom who is a couple sizes smaller than me and not quite so busty. But no need, anymore! It's still a little snug, but I zipped this baby up smoothly. I finally get to wear my vineyard vines hoodie! (I'm a New Englander, so our hoodies are important to us)
