@Kirstie155 oooh travel! Where about did you go? I have to admit that during TTC getting your period is a good time to drink, so have fun! May as well lol.
@motivatedsister you have quite the goal! What is your plan to achieve it? Did you make an exercise schedule or cooking calendar or anything? I sometimes make those... never follow them (lol) but think they're good in concept.
@puffbrat do you camp often? Congrats on the toast and the pup enjoying camping! What kind of dog do you have? Your fitness sticker book sounds super cute! I've never seen one like that... pictures? hehe.
@WifiresGettingFit Family time is nice I agree!
I'm still doing well. Just entered my 6th week of pregnancy and the only symptoms I have are the ones that no one told me to expect. I don't have nausea or any food aversions... or really too much hunger (a day here or there). But oh my goodness what I am having is probably TMI... but.. it would have been nice to know it was normal before I thought I was poisoned. Basically... I've been having BMs between 2 and 5 times every day. And then today there is nothing. More women talk about constipation, but not increased number of BM, so I thought I had food poisoning or listeria or something until I specifically looked it up.
On a plus note... my work trip got postponed (YAY). I am now going to push for my "promotion" immediately after Oct. 29 and once it goes through, I am considering telling JUST my boss that I'm pregnant... that way he might be more considerate when it comes to planning the work trips. Like making sure I can fly on the days that the plane has a bathroom and stuff like that.
Funny though, he said I'd have to go do another week and a half at site in early April and I almost burst out laughing as I pictured a 7 month pregnant woman climbing vertical ladders and mountain goat climbing over rocks and stuff. I'm not even going to fit through the access hatches in the scaffolds at that point! Bwahahah so funny to picture me trying though. Having construction workers push me up the ladder because I can't lift myself hahahha. Stuck like Winnie the Pooh in a rabbit hole!
I'm also planning a lot of lies lately. Like how to not quit dodge ball while still not playing dodge ball. I used a fake migraine already. Then I plan to use some get-togethers (which are real)... and then maybe fake a back injury until we tell my husband's family at the end of November (which is already early). You see, Chris' sister is the dodge ball team captain and his brother and his brother's girlfriend also play on the team, so I can't even be honest with a small group of people I wouldn't see otherwise. We're planning to announce to extended family at Christmas get-togethers.
I have to admit I am really enjoying this maintaining my weight thing. Honestly... since many of us seem to be struggling, I recommend trying it. Like legitimately giving yourself maintenance calories for a couple of weeks and not stressing about it, but still logging it. Maybe that's what we all need is a proper reset. Not to just keep trying a deficit when we're not feeling it or, like I do, going straight to overeating.
Well... that's my schpeel for now!0 -
@WifiresGettingFit I've really gotten back into crocheting lately. I'm just finishing my first poncho. It's beautiful but WAY too big. There's no way I'm ripping it out and starting over so I'm just trying to get the neck opening small enough for it to stay on. Hopefully it will still be comfy to wear and not look bad.
I'm just starting to sew. I'm making a Halloween wreath shaped like a witch's face and plan to do a snowman wreath for Christmas. I'm also really excited to make candy this Christmas. I'm trying to plan out how to make enough of my usual candy and I want to try some different ones too. It should be a busy but fun rest of the year.0 -
@VeryKatie I'm glad your work trip got postponed! That's does make a hilarious picture imaging and 7-month pregnant woman climbing around those conditions.
We usually camp a couple times a year but this was our first time in a year and a half. So it was nice to get out again. Our dog is a one-year old German Shorthaired Pointer. The pictures are from a few months ago.
I'll take pictures of the planner tonight. I had never seen anything like it either. It's really simple, but I think the simplicity and fun of the stickers could be good for me.0 -
@puffbrat your dog is pretty cute! As is the duck lol.
Speaking of crafting, is anyone making a Halloween costume? I'm going to a Day of the Dead themed party so I need to figure something out for that. I'm thinking my maxi dress with some crinoline and some temporary face tattoos lol.0 -
@VeryKatie haha I don't think there is such a thing at TMI anymore around here. =P I think it would be good to tell just your boss for those reasons. I hope it works out! That sucks though that you have to come up with lies, it can get exhausting. I've thought about taking a maintenance break but I've pretty much been maintaining within a 5 pound range for a while now so I don't think it's the answer for me. As far as halloween costumes, I usually don't do anything so I have no suggestions but what you have planned sounds good to me! haha
@puffbrat I'm sure it'll look great! It sounds like you have a lot going on and are keeping busy and having fun! That's awesome! Your dog is so cute! The look on her face is priceless! I look forward to seeing the planner!
What's everyone doing for the weekend? Saturday will be spent doing vehicle maintenance at various places as my boyfriend has a long work trip on Monday and needs to get some things checked on his truck beforehand and then Sunday will be spent at my parents and we also get the pleasure of hauling a stove to my Aunt's. The joys of having a truck. haha0 -
I kept remembering to take the pic of the planner and then not doing as I got distracted. Doh! I will take it tonight.
I agree that there is no such thing as TMI for us in this group anymore, and I appreciate any and all information.
I just bought a costume this year. Afterwards, I spent way too much money on other stuff and was going to return the costume after it arrived in the mail but it turns out it can't be refunded. So this year I will be the queen of hearts wearing a witch hat.
Saturday night I'm going to see the Lion King musical with my mom. We will hopefully also have time to sew together in the afternoon.
@WifiresGettingFit That sounds like a busy weekend. I hope you get to enjoy the time with your parents and aren't just hauling stuff for family the whole time.0 -
@puffbrat I hope you enjoy the musical and hope you're able to get some sewing in, it sounds like it's going to be a good weekend!
Yeah, I hope we aren't just hauling stuff either. Otherwise I'm probably not going to be very pleasant. haha0 -

@puffbrat OMG I love that planner!! I need one in my life! haha0

@WifiresGettingFit I felt silly taking and posting so many pictures, but even though the planner is fairly simple, it has so many cute details to show. I got it at Michaels.
I have to vent! So I'm really annoyed today that I have to go through some rigamarole with doctors. Last September I saw my GP about some issues. After some testing came back negative she referred me to a rheumatologist. When I didn't hear from that office I called to inquire about the status of my referral and getting an appointment. I was told that there is a shortage of rheumatologists in my area and they were overwhelmed with new patient referrals, but that I should keep checking. I called ~6 times over the next year and was told the same thing and later that my referral had at least made it to the doctors desk. Finally yesterday afternoon (13 months later) they called to tell me that the doctor had finally read my referral but they don't have spaces for new patients and I need to get a new letter from my gp and try another practice. The woman admitted their office screwed up and put my letter into a pile with this year's referrals even though mine was from Sept. 2015 suggesting that they would have gotten me an appointment if it had been in the correct pile with last year's letters, but there was still nothing they could do at this point. She said I could try getting into their office again at the beginning of the year but would need a new letter anyway because mine is so old. Grrr!0 -
Hi Everyone!
@puffbrat that planner is so cute, I'd use it for sure! I need that, yay stickers! Thanks for sharing. I also agree your dog is cute, and glad you had fun camping. Sorry to hear about your doctor referal, that majorly sucks I really hope they can expedite you at this point since they screwed up and you need to see the doctor!
@VeryKatie I went to Minnesota to spend 4 days with family I have there, tacked on to the front end of a business trip for vendor training. I went to the Mall of America..its really just a big mall with roller coasters, haha. I was wined and dined and learned so much at training, ready to get back to eating right and no more wine. My pants are tight and the scale said 204 last night when I got home. I'm gonna assume that's puffiness from the airplane and late night weighing and give it a few days to regulate before I weigh in again. Hoping to have it drop on its own back below 200 by the end of the weekend. Thats a scary big number, and I have the bahamas coming up!!

@puffbrat I enjoyed all the pictures. I love details! Haha I'm gonna have to check my local Michaels. See if I can't find something like it!
That whole thing with the referral is ridiculous! I'm grring with you!!
Between a migraine earlier and cramping now I've been pretty much down for the count today. I've barely left my bed and my appetite has become insatiable..sigh.0 -
Hi everyone, this is my first time posting. My husband and I have started trying to conceive this month!! I'm only about 1 kg from my target weight but still have a lot of fat I need to burn off so I'm changing my target from a strong focus on losing weight to more focusing on healthy eating and doing what exercise I can to burn fat and build muscle. I have several chronic illnesses which limit how much exercise I can actually do so this is something I've been struggling with for a while.1
-
@WifiresGettingFit I hope you're feeling better and your weekend wasn't ruined!
Hi @Megliveken. Welcome to the group!
I hope you have easy success with TTC. I'm sorry to hear that you have several chronic illnesses. That must be really tough! We are always to hear to provide support and just chat.0 -
@puffbrat love the planner!0
-
@puffbrat Thank you! My weekend wasn't bad at all AND moving the stove only took about 40 minutes out of my time with my parents so it was a good visit! How did your weekend go?
@Megliveken Welcome to the group! Good luck on your TTC journey!0 -
@Megliveken welcome! Tell us more about yourself
Mini victory: I made it to work today. Spent an hour snoozing even though I had already set my alarm an hour late. I really didn't want to come in today. Long weekend, moved exercise equipment all day Saturday, then went to a funeral celebration of life on Sunday that was 2 hours away from our house, so 2 hours to get there, 2 hours at the event, 2 hours back plus the hour stopped for dinner. Then my MIL wanted to go grocery shopping before we went home, so that was another 45 minutes. Exhausting weekend. And hubby stayed home because he felt like it. *pats self on back for going to work today* Sometimes being an adult is so hard!
Also my thighs are KILLING ME because I actually worked out this weekend. Holy moly, owww! Im so out of shape! It hurts to walk, and sit, and move. Proud of myself for that one though, and I want to work out again tonight when I get home.0 -
@puffbrat I found this planner online...and its out of stock >.< I want one, its so cute!
In case anyone else wanted to see it online, this is the one I found: http://www.michaels.com/create-365-the-happy-planner-12-month-box-kit-fitness-edition/10484543.html#q=fitness&start=61 -
@Kirstie155 Awesome victory Kirstie! Thanks for sharing the link to the planner! I want one too! haha0

Thanks for the welcome ladies.
A bit more about me...
I'm 31 years old and my husband and I are trying for our first (and possibly only) child. I always thought I'd be a mum before 30 but just over 3 years ago I crashed badly and was subsequently diagnosed with fibromyalgia and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome).
My weight has fluctuated a lot since being sick and although I'm well within a healthy weight range based on bmi, a dexa scan I had as part of a medical research study showed that my body fat percentage was in the obese category 2 months ago. Since then I've been working on eating healthily and sticking within calorie range and have recently joined a gym to do some low impact stretching, light weight baring, and water based cardio (swimming and aquazumba). I've also been slowly building up my step count over the last year or so.
I've lost almost 5 kg in the last 2 months and 4% bodyfat which brings me back into the upper healthy ranges for body fat %0 -
@Megliveken welcome to the group It sounds like you're having a slow and steady success with your body fat loss, so congrats about that! Sorry to hear about the crash though Where abouts are you from (just a simple country name will do)? Seems like most of the ladies here are from the USA. I'm from Canada though so it's interesting discussing the differences. I hope you're enjoying your TTC time
@Kirstie155 Haha I checked the Canadian Michael's and all we have are the expandable rings FOR the calendar. But not the calendar. It doesn't even say "sold out", it just isn't on the website. Awesome job on working out! I should do something like exercise when I get home today. Maybe YAYOG... hmm... Also I love Minneapolis, your trip sounds so fun! Now I want to go. It's only a 7 or 8 hour drive from me... Chris is going without me two weekends from now (BAH!).
@puffbrat I want a copy of that calendar too!

@VeryKatie I'm from Australia. Things are probably quite different again over here.0
-
@VeryKatie @Kirstie155 @WifiresGettingFit I feel so bad posting that planner now! I had no idea it was sold out/not available on the website. I guess that is probably why it was on sale in the store.0
-
@puffbrat Oh no, don't feel bad at all! I'm glad you shared it! I didn't even know they had anything like that! Now that I know I can find something like it!0
-
@puffbrat yeah don't feel bad, we just want one because you made a sweet find! I'm sure something will pop up for us! I could check Amazon.
By the way, I'm heading on a trip from Oct 27 -Nov 1 for work so I will likely be a bit late in putting up the November spreadsheet.0 -
I haven't checked in for awhile but just wanted to say I'm pregnant. Just did two pregnancy tests and I'm over 12 days late for my period. I can't believe I got pregnant as soon as I got off the pill.2

@wantoldme Congratulations!!!0

Thank you @WifiresGettingFit!
now just have to make sure baby and me are getting our nutrients.0 -
@wantoldme congratulations on your pregnancy! So how many weeks are you then? about 6? I'm 8 weeks myself and @Megliveken also had success I'm still finding this group very useful and welcoming so I hope you stick around too.
It sounds like it happened right away for both of you hahah. It took me 5 months, so I'm a little jealous lol. But I shouldn't complain1 -
Congratulations @wantoldme!!0
