@aenglehardt347 on the topic of wine jelly - I make it out of whatever I feel like at the moment... I was at Bully Hill Winery back in June and picked up an assortment from there - Ol' Mischief and Love My Goat Red both made good grown up PB&J jelly, LeGoat is a blush that is light and will be amazing with cheese and crackers. In the past I have used everything from Port, to Champagne, to Barefoot Moscato.
Just because it sounded interesting, I tried making some whiskey jelly as well - Bourbon & Ginger turned out good, but Fireball Whiskey turned out even better! On a side note, boiling down a fifth of bourbon in your kitchen will pique the interest of your neighbors.3 -
Good morning, team. Love all the wonderful thankful posts.
I'm at the airport, ready to head out. Despite over 20 inches of snow, things seem to be operating on time so hopefully I'll get to Iowa early this afternoon. There's a lot of food and drink on my agenda so I will have to make a real effort to also get some minutes of exercise in!
@celtikgirl - whiskey jelly sounds, um interesting? I don't know about that one. I'm going to try making homemade Bailey's Irish Creme this week for my holiday festivities! Every time someone in the family tries to discuss politics, I'm taking a shot.3 -
Goodmorning All
Hope you all had a great start of the week.
This morning I was wondering what is the meaning of "thanksgiving" because we don't have this in Belgium.
Long live Wikipedia it explain a lot to me also "black friday" I don't realise that it had something to do with thanksgiving
It is nice to learn about different countries
So from the otherside of the world I wish you all the best and lots of fun with your holiday's
A man in Florida, in his 80s, calls his son in New York one November day.
The father says to the son, “I hate to tell you, but we’ve got some troubles here in the house. Your mother and I can’t stand each other anymore, and we’re getting a divorce. I’ve had it! I want to live out the rest of my years in peace. I’m telling you now, so you and your sister shouldn’t go into shock later when I move out.”
He hangs up, and the son immediately calls his sister in the Hamptons and tells her the news.
The sister says, “I’ll handle this.”
She calls Florida and says to her father, “Don’t do ANYTHING till we get there! We’ll be there Wednesday night.”
The father agrees, “All right.”
The old man hangs up the phone and hollers to his wife, “Okay, they’re coming for Thanksgiving. Now, what are we going to tell them for Christmas?”

@celtikgirl the jelly sounds fabulous!
@katharmonic Safe travels!
@wolvinnetje Good laugh this morning!
@mamaelf2008 You give me hope if I can just make it through the teen years!1 -
@wolvinnetje -that's great! And I do NOT participate in Black Friday. Just the thought makes me twitch!
@katharmonic -safe travels! My mom lived in Iowa and my stepfather is still there. What part are you going to? The drinking sounds like a great way to handle political discussions!
My opponent no-showed today so no match. Now it's gonna have to wait until I get back. Grrr. At least our pro isn't making either of us forfeit.1 -
Hi team, sorry so quiet, just busy here and a bit overwhelmed at the moment!
Happy belated Birthday @120maggie!!!
My Thankful Post:
I am so utterly thankful and blessed to have such an amazing group of friends and extended family. I have always known what great people we have in our life, but since my husband started dialysis last year we have had so much love and support, I don't know how I would have made it through the last year and a half if it was not for all of them. I am also thankful for a wonderful job that allows us to continue to live our lives comfortably even though he is unable to work right now.3 -
I am thankful that @hawkins410 is not making us dance this week5
-
I did my thankful post but...
This is what I am thankful for.
A great day with wife and friends hiking the White Tank mountains while on holidays and logging another 120 minutes while at it!

I am thankful that @hawkins410 is not making us dance this week
@ka97 Yeah were probably lucky we don't have to dance like a rockette!1 -
4 mile run and upperbody lifting done. The weather forecast is looking slightly better so I'm hopeful for 6-7 miles on Thursday morning. My niece is coming over tomorrow for us to take her out for her birthday, so that will have to be a rest day. I'm planning to get in the rockette workout on Fri-Sat-Sun.
In all seriousness......I am thankful for my wonderful wife, and thankful that I live in a place where I can be who I am and marry who I love. I am thankful for a job that I love, even on the days when it exhausts me. I am thankful for my niece and nephew who keep me young. And I'm thankful that I can still run, even if it's not as much as I would like3 -
I am thankful that @hawkins410 is not making us dance this week

Made it to Iowa - travel went smoothly today fortunately. @cardbucfan - I'm in the Iowa City area, and will be spending some time in the Quad Cities as well. Family is in central and eastern Iowa.
I didn't get many minutes today. I made a concerted effort to do some brisk airport walking and then tonight I did one set of the Rockette training and some yoga stretching. All together 30 minutes.
I should have gone for a run but the cold rain and travel fatigue made it not too appealing. But I will go running tomorrow morning - I may have to check out the local rec center where they have an indoor track if it's still rainy. I'm already feeling like my eating is out of control and it's only been 1 full day. Tomorrow I have a lunch and dinner out planned, and then of course there is Thanksgiving day. Yikes! I know it's a holiday and I can get back on track but it's making me a little anxious.1 -

It's the holiday! Enjoy your time with family and friends don't let it stress you out! Just do the best you can and make it through. Then Friday hit the grind!1 -

Weather is cold windy and rainy. Really aggravating my knee and my sciatic. I'm going to rest today maybe and get some of the videos done tomorrow. Later I will try to do a little exercise if my body cooperates. This is the worst time of year for me. Don't mean to whine just wanted to let you know why I'm not getting the numbers in this week.1

Challenge #3: I am thankful every day for my husband. I don’t always tell him so, but even though he might drive me crazy, he also keeps me sane. He might make me mad, but then he can make me laugh so hard that I pee in my pants (hopefully not TMI there!). He supports my wild haired schemes (like this race!), and along with our Furball, Tara, guarantees that I have a smile on my face at least once a day, no matter what is thrown my way.
I am also thankful that my 88 year old Dad survived surgery last week and seems to be on his way to recovery. He has been my rock my entire life.
I’m also thankful for my health! Thankful that I can rock out to Zumba almost every morning and scare my teammates into thinking we will have a Zumba challenge every week.
I am thankful to Team One! Thankful for your support in my weight loss journey. Your friendship, encouragement, success stories, perseverance, and hard work inspire me to go farther and faster. So, with all that being said,
“HAPPY THANKSGIVING" TO MY AMERICAN FRIENDS AND “HAPPY TOMORROW” TO EVERYONE ELSE!4 -
Hi guys, So glad this work week is done for me. CRAZY!! That's what I get for taking off last Friday and having a great long weekend. I worked long hours and haven't gotten in any extra workout minutes. Need to finish my third Rockette training session after this post. Hopefully we will be able to pick-up our minutes soon. I see great things on the posts, but our spreadsheet is a little sad The real Maggie, Mike and I are planning on a four mile turkey trot tomorrow morning.
Challenge three: Of course I have to be very thankful for my family and my secure life. What stands out in 2016 is mine and my family's health, our healthcare systems and,--- as much as the insurance companies drive me nuts, ---our coverage. I have a daughter with an autoimmune disease whose med's cost more than my gross annual salary. I am thankful the medication is available to us, the difference it made in her life, and with the effort of her doctor, we negotiated insurance coverage. My husband has a history of heart issues. He had a scare and overnight at the Cleveland clinic, with excellent care and a huge bill that cost us about $100 after our insurances kicked in. I am blessed to be so active and healthy. I need to do a better job of remembering how much I have in life!5 -

@120maggie that is a blessing and something to be Thankful for, I understand autoimmune disease I have one myself
@wolvinnetje love your funnies! Brings a smile to my face
@ka97 enjoy yourself1 -
I am Thankful for my family and the recent birth our newest grandchild a first girl on 11/21/16 and our extremely healthy daughter getting over her gestational diabetes and both of them doing well. Here is a picture of her and her 2 brothers. I am also Thankful for my friends I have met here on Team One that are keeping focused on exercising and eating healthy, thanks for the support.

Goodmorning All
Want to wish you all a happy thanksgiving it reminds me christmas is not far away anymore.
If you need to drive to family or friends drive safe....if you stay at home be careful with the turkey I saw some angry ones
@aenglehardt347 what a cuties you are right to be blessed really wonderful kids.
Also @TamiJo1004 you also have a beautiful sweet family I know how hard you have to work for it to keep it that way.
@mamaelf2008 you are the best helper santa have I will write him a letter that he won't forget you with christmas.
@everybody else on this special day I want to say thank you for being my friend ofcourse some are more "beloved" ( sorry if this is a wrong word I had to use google for it ) than an other just like friends in normal live.
But I have to be honest by circumstances in real life I had no friends anymore and I lost faith in humans but since I met you guys it brings a little faith back.
I never thought that this could happen that I can find some friends who bring me tears from Joy and love instaed of sadness and making fool of me.
I'm not frustrating hahahahah hardley to believe when you read the words above but really I am a really happy girl with scarves in her heart and soul but who hasn't.
I realize since a few years that you had to make your life as good as you want and don't rely on others.
This was just a overthinking on special days when you realize how special life is and can be.
So no heavy depressive words from me anymore just laughs and happy crazy words because when you have a sad face it makes your face wrinkeld and old and no one want to look like this right?
So as I say have much fun today enjoy your love ones and smile at a stanger once a time you will suprised what you get back.

Calm before the storm - I'm having breakfast and getting ready to go to my Turkey Trot 5k. Food is all prepped for the cooking when I get back. Homemade Bailey's Irish Creme is ready and delicious.
Yesterday I managed to get a nice hour long run in at the rec center indoor track near my mom's house. So I felt really good about that, and today I'll have the 5k plus maybe an after-dinner walk. Although I'm sure my logging isn't very precise I think it'll come out to be not too bad on the excessive scale.
After our Thanksgiving here at my mom's today, I'll be heading to stay with one of my sisters for a couple of days. That should be fun and maybe we'll get some hiking or something in.
Have a fantastic Thanksgiving everyone.5 -
Happy Thanksgiving US team 1 folks and happy Friday eve to the non US folks!
All the sides are made (except rolls and veggies), breakfast has been eaten, hubby and I are headed to the gym in a bit then it's on! We're gonna eat early so hubby and I can have some leftovers then we need to finish packing. I've got some girly maintenance items to take care of before we leave and lots of electronics stuff to update. Plus we want to get the Christmas decorations up! No worries but my actual exercise minutes might be low as a result.3 -
We are up now!! I see @hawkins410 the shortest Rockettes in front and center!! @ka97 they benched us for not making the cut.4
