Hi everyone,
Sorry I've MIA the past 2 days. Had a karate assessment last night so didn’t push as hard in an attempt not to break, pull or sprain anything before I got that done. Invariably that's what happens the day before or the day of. Anyway test was about 45 minutes long, I passed ajd didn't get punched or kicked in the face so I count that a win
Got challenge 2 done yesterday but am only 3 or 5 days done for challenge 3. Usually I don’t eat much on the weekends anyway so I'm sure I'll get the points for that one as well.
Have a great day Smashers!!5 -
HI EVERYONE !!
My last couple days have been a bit topsy turvy but i am still working it.
I have to get through at least today to complete challenge 3. I had a bad day this week but nothing severe thank goodness.
I also added my minutes last night and i have 200min to hit the limit of 700.
The scale has finally got me within 0.4 oz of my lowest this challenge. Now if i can jest get it to drop a bit more..LOL
Well i am once again pressed for time so i will try to catch up with you all a bit later.3 -

Happy Saturday SMASHERS! Baby is feeling much better but now its my turn. Yesterday morning I felt a little under the weather and it has quickly become a full blown flu. Aches, pains, fever, shivers, cold sweats, stuffiness, sneezing, cough, weakness, the works. No workout today, I really need to recover. Lots of fluids. just had Chinese soup and have my bottle of water here next to me.

@ddeliciosa I highly recommend it!! The room of the week this week was the kitchen and my husband even noticed how sparkly it was!! And it's really not that hard. I mean the first week for each room will be harder than the rest, I'm cleaning stuff I haven't cleaned since we moved in 3 years ago!! Lol but if I can see the day where my husband surprises me with "my parents are coming over" and I don't nearly pass out, I'll be a happy camper lol.
And yes, water retention can be a real issue weather it's a new exercise or heavy lifting.
@darcijojo I'm smiling and excited for you over everything in your post
@plainanjelik I'm the opposite and eat so much over the weekends!! Stay strong!!
@mari_moulin feel better!!3 -
Hi smashers!! Happy Saturday
Yay for still being in first, I'm at the gym on a Saturday morning for then first time in a very very long time. Weekends = family time, and the hubby is at work and davie had a sleep over at his friends house last night. So instead of sitting home alone I headed to the gym!!
Super bowl is tomorrow! Which means I'll probably eat and drink more than I should.
I'm sick too. It started yesterday, got worse this morning when I woke up. But a good sweat session has me feeling a little better. I like to go to the gym when I'm not full blown sick because I always feel like I sweat out a little bit of whatever's in me. Between that and laying around not being an option this weekend, I'm ignoring it the best I can! Company coming over tonight, and super bowl party at our house tomorrow, I don't have time to be sick Emergen-c will be my best friend this weekend!!3 -
Good morning all!
I have to work today & I am sitting in a parking lot waiting for DD to come out from a job fair. I am amazed at the amount of parents going in with their kids. As an employer myself, I frown on parents dropping off résumés or holding their kids hands at interviews. Too many coddled kids these days
I hope to get a workout in after work. I plan to bring my workout clothes with me
We all have to not get comfortable with our lead this weekend. Team 1 is sneaky & will get all of the challenge points up this weekend. They are already 500+ minutes ahead of us. We have done so well all week!
Let's smash it this weekend!4 -
Everyone is doing such a great job! Keep up the good work everyone. But don't forget a rest day is ok!
5 -
@lpeltenburg I agree with the coddled kids thing! I'm practically a kid myself, I'm just 23. But I still see so many people I've known in my life getting everything done and handed to them by their parents! Time to put the big boy/girl panties on!!

Hello My fellow Smashers!! I hope you are all enjoying your weekend (or whats left of it) I am still very ill. I wanted to do CIZE today but I just can't. I need to just let my body heal. I am so glad I maxed out my workout minutes for week 2 before I fell ill. You have all done so well this week. We stayed up in first the whole week! Just amazing team work. I am feeling so proud to be a part of it. Team 1 is only 25 points behind us so lets keep on pushing until the end!

Good morning fellow smashes. Well I did my 5.8 mile along our frozen river it was a cool crisp morning but really nice to get outside even had some dear pass along our path it was beautiful! My legs were pretty fatigued but to me that's a good thing and this is helping to build up my stamina and strength. Finishing off the dance videos today and gonna do some meal prep for next week! Happy sunday!!4
-
Whoops meant to say 3.8 miles!! Whew my legs would have been really tired then lol3
-
Hi everyone! Hope you all are having a great Sunday! Fortunately for this challenge I will be stuck in a class during the superbowl so no parties or snacks for me! Missed last year's too. But seeing as I still don't understand football I'm not too torn up about it. So far I've been staying on track with my meals and exercise has been going well too. I've done a 45 minute walk this morning and am planning a zumba workout, my daily Fitstar workout along with a yoga cooldown later this evening. I have apparently been adopted into the Patriots clan but I give my best wishes to fans and players of both teams. Let the best team win! Enjoy the rest of your day!4

10 mile run + 54 mile ride on a BEAUTIFUL Florida day
10 -
Hey team! Went on a walk this afternoon with my mom, went to go log it later and saw that we are behind! Bah. So I went on another walk but we are still behind 40 points. I just got a kettle ball and this resistance bar, so I'm gonna try to get a few more minutes in with that. I think my competitive side is getting the best of me. I shouldn't of slacked off yesterday! Next week my #1 goal is to max out on the minutes.2
-
Went to our local water park today. Exhausting. I counted 71 steps climbing up to the top for the waterslides. I did it 7 times. And I was like enough!!! And you have to carry your own two-seater tube. After that I told the kids we had to stick to lazy river and the wave pools.
We were there for 5 hrs, but I only logged in for 90min of really strenuous exercise.4 -
This is the time of year that I can really appreciate living in Florida! 10mi run, 54mi bike and a 1.2mi swim and now I'm done. Hip is a little sore so will be light on minutes tomorrow, but next Sunday is another heavy training day:)

Hi everyone. Looks like team 1 was being sneaky again. We were really close to getting another 10 points for 10% over goal so did some more exercise to get us there. Looks like we need another 464 minutes to catch up0
-
Just did some calculations and everyone on the team that hasn't maxed out at 700 would need to do another 40 mins to get back in first. I haven't put my time in for today yet, but I took those minutes off. We tied on challenges, they are just out exercising us. Kind of a bummer. We are still doing awesome though. I know I didn't work this hard during the last race.0
-
@mckeon11 @Scherzie awesome job !!!
@TaraDanielle40 those hikes up the stairs with tubes are soooo rough haha. I'm in shape, and feel like I'm gonna pass out at the top. They're intense.
Yep still hanging out 15 points behind team 1 great job on the challenges though, imagine how far behind we'd be if we didn't all complete our challenges!! I headed out for a halftime walk to get some minutes.
I think next week if we all make it our goal to max out on minutes, we'll cruise into first with some comfort. Imagine if ALL of us got 700+ minutes!! That would be amazing!!0 -
@SmashleyM914 I'm going to go for 700 next week. I managed it the first week, so I know I can do it. I could try to do more today, but realistically that's not going to happen.
Tomorrow starts a new week. We CAN do this Smashers!0 -
I'm going to try as well. On another totally different note. I'm a huge football fan. Really wanted ATL to win. Not a pat fan but I am a Michigan fan. So I do love seeing Brady do well.0
