I know my face is on my profile pic...but I'm still a little embarrassed to have my face attached to my raggedy old panties on the interweb :)

@mmultanen Thanks babe! Hopefully at the next 2 month check in it will be a bit more noticeable...and I'll be sportin' new underoos! :)

And great work on your end too! That's awesome!

I have to say...while I'm super happy with a 20lbs loss in two months. It's a little discouraging when I can't see any difference. My clothes aren't fitting differently and there hasn't been much loss in measurable inches. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining...I can feel the difference in regards to my mood, energy level, and just a lighter internal feeling in general (no more loaf of bread and rocks feeling in my gut). I know this is a marathon, not a sprint...but I guess I was just hoping my progress pics would yield better results. The left is before at 236, the right is after at 216.

@hmikkola92, don't feel you are destined to excess flesh after weight loss. You may be absolutely amazed at how it disappears. When you're on a desktop sometime, take a look at my profile pics which are publicly "viewable", I think. That "big belly in the white sweatshirt" is me and as you contrast it with my post-loss pics, it is g-o-n-e! You have youth on your side. I was 60 years old and as we're told, lacking elasticity.

There are awesome before and after pics in "Success Stories" on MFP. I still read that forum all the time. Amazing transformations.

Kudos to all here. Looking good! Keep going!

@hmikkola92 Thanks! I have to say, I think I was so taken aback by your photos and the pics of others and how much I noticed on everyone, I thought I would have noticed it on myself more. Maybe I have a slight case of body dysmorphic disorder :)

I can tell a difference by looking at your pictures....so don't get discouraged....Sometimes we can't see in ourselves what others see.....

I agree! I can see a difference. It's hard for ourselves to see it though. You're doing great!

Your thighs and stomach show the difference.

We are often so critical of our bodies. The bottom of picture on the left should make you feel proud. Keep on keeping on, your getting there.

Wow...that is a major difference as far as I'm concerned. In your face, in your tummy. Maybe the scale isn't cooperating, but there's definite shrinkage there. Good job!!

Thanks so much.. I can see it now. I'm going to ignore the scale for the most part. Need to get a measuring tape!

Just as a curiosity, @Gallowmere1984 , what do your friends and family think of your transformation? They must be equally impressed, surely?

    O/T question:
I'm so new to this... I've seen this term 'kitten' being used, in various posts. As wet-behind-the-ears greenhorn, what exactly does this word mean, in its various guises, please....?

@nikoba you should feel very proud of your progress. The loss is most certainly noticeable, but I can understand your frustration at not being able to see a difference, with regard to the clothes you're wearing.
Keep going. You're doing absolutely great, and you should be very proud of yourself, because it's most assuredly clear you have without a doubt made inroads.

    Fantastic results, well done.

You can absolutely see a difference!

Also, I never put my toilet lid down. Seat yes, all the menz in the house are trained to do that but the lid? meh. my friend commented once and made it clear she saw me as a weirdo. lol

This weightloss thing is weird. I feel like I had a woosh moment this week...enough so, that I wanted to take pictures to be sure. I was only planning on taking pics every 2 months. The first pic in each slide is 236, the second is 216, and the third is 211...this is the first time that I can notice it in myself, especially in my back. This is starting to feel like a science project...in a cool way :)
I also just now noticed that I never seem to actually put toilet paper on the holder...good thing I live alone.

    Never not deadlift. :D

I'm actually going to be interested to see what happens with them once I move into the next stage of my training after my powerlifting meet in December. I'm already starting to incorporate things like front squats, but this coming winter I'll be moving to 2x training sessions. One will be for general strength/powerlifting, and the second session will be focused on actual weightlifting technique (snatch/clean and jerk).

@AlexandraCarlyle *kitten* is what happens when you try to say *kitten* or damn or *kitten* or any of the other fun adults-only words - it's really a fill-in-the-blank.

ETA: Ha ha! I can say damn!
