Keep doing it and eventually you will be that morning person.
I wasn't that early a morning person. But i kept going. Now, even when I'm on business travel, I'm up before 5am.
MY home routine had ne up at 4:15, in the pool at 5. At with around 8.

WoHo. Pools open and started right into our Adult Swim Club, less than masters, more than plain old lessons.
Mixed drills 80% Crawl, 15% Breast, 5% Kick.
    1400m according to the instructor/coach.

Usually I take a picture of the sets but just forgot to bring my phone.
Felt so good to be back in the water. I could really tell that I haven't been in the water for two months.
Everything was just not in sync. Breathing was off, weak kick. As they would say it's a work in progress.

5050 m. I wanted to increase what I swam last week but another 50 was all I could handle.

"Just one more lap." Incremental increase in endurance. Then next week add just one more lap...... wash. rinse. repeat.

1700m. Had to go to work :(
I have got to get myself up earlier so I can swim longer.

I have tried to swim after work and I hated it--crowded and loud and I was already tired.

I used to have to force myself up at 4:15 to be in the pool at 5. Now it feels normal. Though once in a while I have to battle the call of the pillow.

My trick to getting up early - promise myself that I get to take a nap later. I NEVER take the nap, but my promise always seems to fool me. Gullible on every side, I guess.

4 miles all week. Keep thinking I'll try to get 5 miles in before work but the psychic time pressure gets to me :D

1400. I got up a tiny bit earlier but had to be at work much earlier. I get up at 5:10 but I need to back it up earlier until I'm seeing a 4 on the alarm clock.

If I had to do that, it would say 4:59
I'm so NOT a morning person. I can't seem to break through the challenge until it's my new normal. I've been a night owl all my life...
