Tracey's Maintenance Journal - Year One

Thank you all so much . After reading Sunny's post, I went and re-read my Weight loss journey thread and was further inspired myself. Looking back over the advice I received and the meals I ate made me all the more inspired to make sure I maintain my losses and never go back to where I was.
I appreciate all of the support I have been given and will continue to share. I really need to go back to posting my meals. My sister has moved out so I will be doing all the cooking myself from now on. I also think I want to do at least two vegetarian days a week. I saw a maintenance plan that had two vegetarian days I had in my weight loss thread that I might use.
I also saw how close I had gotten to be out of the 150's and was getting an urge to try for 145 again but I don't know. For now I will just focus on sticking to plan and see where it gets me.2 -

Great attitude about the 145! That's sort of my train of thought too once I hit a comfortable range ALSO YES you should post your meals! I love me some food porn0 -
After reading all three of my threads, I have come up with a new maintenance plan that combines some of all of my previous plans.

So stoked to see future pics of your meatless meals, Tracey! I'm a lifelong vegetarian, but I love getting new ideas and recipes to try. Variety is always nice.
And to second Steph... I also love some good food porn.0 -
Sunny, please share some of your vegetarian meals as well. I have a few favorites, but would love to expand my repertoire of vegetarian meals.1

Well today turned out to be a splurge day. I will sub it out for one of my weekend days. My meal is pictured below. I did not get the Indian food. I may have it on one of my vegetarian days. We ended up going to Applebees and I had a quesadilla salad and a salad.

Way to go Tracey! Your doing great!0

I decided not to specify my meal days andbut just specified the number of days so that I can make changes according to what is going on. So my new plan is 3 OMAD Days, 2 Splurge days and 2 meatless OMAD days.

Yah it's easier to not pick which days to do what because things change...I'm going to just post what I did and my daily losses at the end of each week instead0 -
Love how fluid and flexible you keep your plan, Tracey. It's a good reminder that life happens, and we can work around our schedules!0

Today's meal. Montezuma Burrito Texana with rice, beans, and Tortilla Chips and Salsa.

Popping in to see how you're doing.
Keep up the good work, Tracey! You're doing so well.
Your food pics are awesome as usual! I like the idea of meatless days. I sometimes have them when I do a day with my vegan daughter.0 -

Today's meal. Eating an early meal today.

The above meal should have been my meal for the day but it wasn't. Today actually turned out to be a true to life splurge day. I could not resist dinner. This week just did not go as planned. I hope to do a fast day tomorrow to balance things out, but I don't know if that will happen. I just have not been able to stick to my plan the last two days.
Tonight I ended up eating some spaghetti my sister brought over and some korean style pork, collard greens, and potatoes au gratin that I made myself. Shame on me! I can't eat early because then I can't resist eating later. I have to keep to my evening meals only, period.1 -

This is me for sure. If I eat lunch there is no possible way I can resist dinner... Not a chance!0 -
I will do a water fast day tomorrow and hopefully that will set me back on the right path. Fri-Sun (Splurge) Mon & Wed (OMAD) Tue & Thu (Vegetarian OMAD)0

That is me!0 -
I'll agree to that! Eating early in the day is a sure-fire way to make sure it's not an OMAD day...I'll stick w my evenings0

I don't know, when I was in weight loss mode, I could do a noon day meal and not have any issues later in the day. Since being in maintenance, it is a real struggle. I guess it may be because of the more frequent splurge days. When I was in weight loss mode, I didn't do to many splurge days so I was conditioned to eating later in the day.
I was 157.1 this morning. I am really fighting for this water fast today so I can see 155 or below for my official weigh in tomorrow.2 -
For me its the cold weather that's making me so hungry, I'm sorry your struggling but stay strong and don't forget that in maintenance you will fluctuate from week to week and by the looks of it you're going to be under 160 again this week so yay for that0
-
Oh haha, I just posted in the exercise thread before moving on to this one and read all your posts on meal timing!! 11am is still my best time
Good luck with the weigh in tomorrow Tracey. Stay strong for today!0 -
I think I will make it. I am not too worried about going over 160, but I was wanting to be below 155. At the beginning of my weight week (Fri-Tuesday) I was in the 153, 154 range. Then after I got of track Tuesday Night, I was 155 yesterday and 157 today. It would have been nice to have stayed below 155 for the whole week, but hey there is always next week and the weeks after that.0
-
Yep, there is always next week and many more to come!!
As long as you are consistent, you'd be all good.0
