Who is racing this weekend?

USATF Masters Half Marathon on Sunday, the Dexter-Ann Arbor road race. I don't expect to place in my age group in a USATF national event, but this will add another state (Michigan) to the list of states I've run a race in.
Interestingly enough, I'm in Ann Arbor this week for work. But I'll be back home by Sat. night.
On the way home, I'm going to run the Dam 20K in Des Moines (Dam2Dam).
Then on Sunday, I'm going to go up and run a few miles - whatever I can handle - with this ultra-runner who is also a type 1 diabetic. He's quite an inspiration as he struggles with the same health issues as me and has been able to go a lot more miles. Here are details about his run across Iowa: https://t1determined.org/run-iowa-type-1-diabetes/0 -
Anyone else running on Global Running Day this Wednesday?
I am running a 5k which includes at ticket to see a minor league baseball game as well as a drink and food. I won't be running it hard since I am in a mini taper for Ragnar PA. I plan to finish as close to 30 minutes as possible.1 -

I'd thought Global Running Day was on Thursday, and was going to miss it because I was doing my last run in taper on Wednesday.
So I "celebrated" it without knowing.
@dewd2 Good luck in the Ragnar!
I haven't raced (unless you count parkrun, which "is a run not a race") since October, because I've been focusing all my efforts on training for my first 50 km run, which I'm going to run just in my home town in my own time on Sunday.
A friend will join me for the last 10 km.
So excited!!2 -
J P Morgan Corporate Challenge for me on Thursday. Just me and 7,000 of my closest friends.1

Once again I'll be out of my comfort zone tonight as I run the Harrisburg Mile. I'm really not a fan of short races but I'm sure the training is helping me improve at other distances. Only goal tonight is 'not die'4

I'm running a charity 5k at the marina just outside the Gibraltar border on Friday evening. No bling so to speak but I believe we get T-shirts and of course it should be great for photos. My husband and daughter are supposedly going to be walk-running it as neither of them are particularly keen runners (yet ;-) ) so we'll see whether we all survive the heat. 8pm start is still going to be dang hot at this time of year I fear

I haven't raced in 3 months and I am so insanely excited to get fall racing kicked off this weekend after lots of hot humid training miles this summer! Charles Street 12 Miler in Baltimore this weekend and Bird in Hand Half and 5k the following weekend!

I hope it cools off by then.0 -

Did you also run Garden Spot for the coveted "Road Apple Award"?0 -
Got an 8k road race in Boston on Labor Day. It finishes at center ice in T D Garden, which I am ridiculously excited about.0

All my August races were on Wednesday evenings, so they didn't really qualify for this thread. My next race is the Oak Tree Half Marathon on Sunday, September 2 in Geneseo, NY. Could be good running weather, could be warm and humid, there will definitely be a couple of noticeable hills.0
-
I ran our local Labor Day Road Race 10K today and got a PR for this race by 1:20!1
-
I've got the Superior Fall 50 coming up on Saturday0
-
I'm running the Wabash Trace Nature Trail Marathon tomorrow - from Malvern, IA to Shenandoah, IA (so it is a local race for me).0
-
I'm running Pete Glavin Upstate NY Cross Country #1 (5K, Newark, NY) on Sunday. I've registered for the 5-race series, but I expect to sit out #2 (October 7) because it will be only 7 days after I run the Wineglass Marathon.0
-
Running the Louisa May Alcott Orchard House 10k this morning. It's a little bit cooler today which is a good thing because I'm useless in the heat.0
-
Harrisburg Half Marathon in the morning. I haven't decided how hard I'm going... I'm 3 weeks from Wineglass so I "should" take it easy. I "should".1
-
I’m running a small half marathon this weekend. This will be only my 3 3rd half marathon, so I still have nerves! I trained for 2 months and it hasn’t been my best effort. The heat mixed in with Forrest fire smoke dampened my will to train hard. Anyway, I’m going to give it my best, and see what happens!1

USATF Masters 5K XC Championship is Sunday in Buffalo, NY. Should be good running weather. I'm told the course is very flat, as cross country goes. I expect a very competitive field, and hope to be 3rd scoring member of a competitive 60+ team. (If I'm the 1st or 2nd scoring member, we won't be competitive.)0

7 mile trail race, done!
A really picturesque route, and lovely sunshine but the trails were soft from all the rain we've had recently so hard on the legs.
No t shirt or medal though which was disappointing - if you don't have anything to show for it, did you even race?!
Never done a 7 mile race before, so it was a PB and I was reasonably happy with my time!2 -

@TavistockToad It depends. If there's evidence on Strava, then yes it counts. If there's no medal, t-shirt, or Strava data, then you might as well have stayed in bed. But a new PB (even it is an imaginary one, is always good).0 -

I don't have Strava, just Garmin!

You can set it up so Garmin auto-feeds Strava.0 -

I'm not that fussed! I'll take my imaginary PB and go on my merry way!
Next stop Bridlington Half in 2 weeks!1 -

Gosh, that's come round quickly. Good luck and have fun.0 -
Forget partying on a Friday night, I'm running a 5k on Friday night! Organised by the Spanish National Police force to raise funds for and awareness on the matter of human trafficking, it's likely to be small and not excellently organised. However it is at 8pm on a Friday evening in a rather nice setting in Málaga port and conveniently covers a portion of the route of the half marathon I'm running in December and won't shut up about. Hence, I figured it would be a good way of getting a little practice in on the turf so to speak. Also the location will hopefully mean there's a sea breeze :-) as well as pretty views of boats. Not sure if any cruise ships are due in port that night, hope not or everyone will be stopping to ogle and take photos!0

Wineglass Marathon next Sunday. I have not done a good job of keeping track or who I know online and in real life who is running either the half or the full marathon, but I would not be surprised to see people I know or have some stranger recognize me from pictures I've posted on MFP.1

Wineglass Marathon on Sunday.
I'm still open to a meetup at the expo on Saturday if anyone wants to join.1 -

I know! I must admit, after how hard Sunday felt, I'm starting to worry that I'm under trained... I hope that might just be race nerves talking though!0 -
Wineglass Marathon this Sunday!2
