Just because I haven't in a while .... I got going on my mini-trampoline .... switched over to a Netflix documentary ... when that was done, switched back and "spent my accumulated points". 13988 steps / 308 calories / 91 minutes later .......on top of the 166 calories from my two 7 minute HIIT sessions ..... and it is almost too late for an evening snack ....
That's such a great way to keep from getting bored while working out!! well done! great job with those workouts and amazing burn!0 -
I had a rather terrible eating day today - long car trip and indulgences in sweet stuff. The week 3 challenge to watch a video about fasting was well timed! I think I will try some fasting to make up for stuffing myself today.
I saw the challenge and have meant to go watch the video but I haven't had a chance to yet. I do >IF> and just make it work as best I can with my schedule.
I am currently doing 16:8 which sometimes goes up to 18:6 or in between and every friday i do a full 24 hour fast. I make sure i eat healthy foods but the occasional sweet makes its way into my mouth. I cant be perfect right. anyways it works for me. so far this week ive managed to maintain my loss from last week. fingers crossed i can continue to maintain or come in with a loss by saturday.

I am officially stepping down as team captain as I just have too much on my plate at the moment to do this job justice. I will also be leaving the challenge for the time being and hope to rejoin later in the spring. Good luck and best wishes to everyone, feel free to add me as a friend to keep in touch.
I am sorry to see you have to step down. please know we will be here when you are ready to come back. wishing you all the best.0 -

I love this one - let's all get our a$$es in gear today! Post your stories about how you did this, everyone. We could all use the encouragement, laughs, and great examples.

I have a Fitbit too so I can join. I'm also doing Run the Year 2019. So this will work well with that. Just don't know where to sign up for the step challenge here.
Im sorry I got to this so late but you can still join!! If you haven't already done so, go to the link below and add your team, your username, and all the steps you can provide dating back to the beginning of the month. If you can only give this week then that's ok as well. anything helps!

@Andreabroadley - If you want to join the step challenge again I will need all your numbers as I had already taken you out for the month. It doesn't matter how little steps you have. anything will help the team.1 -

A breakfast idea I spotted and want to try (copied to my wall so I can find it again!)
If you have a rice cooker with a brown rice or porridge function, it makes great steel cut oats. You can do it in an instant pot as well. I add some cinnamon, dried cranberries, chopped apples and pecans or walnuts to mine. I put them into mini loaf pans and freeze, then put them in sandwich bags for individual portions. 2 minutes in the microwave heats them up.
I also bought a new toy last night .... a digital scale that can register from 1 gm => 11 kgs. I can also "zero the scale" after putting a plate or container on it (LOVE that!)
AND it has 3 "mode settings" for:- weight (units can be oz or gms)
- fl oz - water
- fl oz - milk
Soooo one could put a mug on the scale, zero it and set mode to "water" for how many fl oz black coffee or tea; zero again, and set mode to "milk" to see how many fl oz milk / cream you added ....
or if one used hot milk as a base for the instant hot chocolate ...0 -

Thought this would be fun to do as a team. Just a little something to get us posting and having a little fun. Just a few random workout questions.
1. What was the best workout move you’ve ever done? And the worst?
2. What’s the best recipe you’ve EVER made?
3. What’s the most recent diet/plan you've been following?
4. Tell us about your first ever Gym day.
5. What’s your favorite place to workout? Why?
6. Share with us a fun woukout experience you’ve had recently.
7. What is your favorite workout song.
8. How long have you been with our F2F group?
9. What’s your favorite sport or physical activity?
10. What’s your favorite healthy dish to cook for friends? For just you?
11. What is your favorite workout attire?
12. When/what time do you prefer to workout?
13. What’s your morning ritual like?
14. How do you get your workout in on a rainy day?
15. Can you share one quote or saying you love, that keeps you going?
16. Which person in your life do you most admire? Why?
17. If you could go back in time and change history, what would you change? Why?
18. What would you do in life if you knew you couldn’t fail?
19. Group workouts or workout on your own?
20. What would you tell your past self knowing what you know now?0 -
15. My number one quote is "bear and forbear". It is from the philosopher Epictetus. Bearing the things I can't control, and not being too attached to "good things". Courage and temperance is what I get out of it. Keeps me on an even keel.0

That is some list of questions, @mari_moulin ! I hope everyone in the team picks at least a couple to answer. I'm going to start with #1. I'm an orderly kind of person, but I also love chaos, so after this I'll jump around!
My fave move that I have ever learned is the Turkish Get Up. All you really do is get up from lying on the ground, and then go back again. While holding a fairly heavy kettlebell or other weight up in the air. And in a very specific order. I love this move, and go back to it often. A good video intro is https://www.shape.com/fitness/videos/video-tutorial-how-do-turkish-get-up but there are many. It is best to start with the "half getup" and then go on. It looks simple, it feels simple once you know all the parts, and it works all kinds of different muscles.
I also really like palov circles and what I call the "dying fish" where you roll over on a mat without the arms or legs touching. Other people call it the superman banana roll! It's #3 on https://www.mindbodygreen.com/0-24268/5-core-exercises-that-arent-crunches.html FUN. Be sure to use a really thick mat - I got bruises on my hips doing this on a hard surface...

This is the first time I’ve ever heard of this move. Sounds hard! I’m gonna have to give it a try! They all sound fun actually! Yes is for sharing!1 -
That is me every single day lol0 -

Alright I’m gonna do 5 a day. Let’s see...
1. What was the best workout move you’ve ever done? And the worst?
Best workout move has for to be the burpee. I first discovered this with ShawnT and did it modified for a very long time. I can now doe it on the floor but still partially modified as I can’t do jump back yet so I step back instead.
Worst move would have to be lunges. I feel like I never do them right. I’m all over the place.
2. What’s the best recipe you’ve EVER made?
The best recipe I’ve made has got to be poulet basquaise in my pressure cooker. OMG lots of veggies and chicken and you can side it with rice or quinoa or just on its own. It’s so flavorful and has the house smelling glorious.
3. What’s the most recent diet/plan you've been following?
The most recent diet plan I’ve been doing is Intermittent Fasting along with CICO.
4. Tell us about your first ever Gym day.
First gym day ever was when I was about 19 years old. I joined a gym with my friend and we paid for our membership. I went once and never went back again. I felt so insecure the whole time and felt like all eyes were watching me. Worst experience ever. (I love the gym now)
5. What’s your favorite place to workout? Why?
I think this has to be at the gym. I enjoy this ME time and really like listening to my music and just being in my own world.

Ditto here. I am working on a "to do" list for tomorrow so I don't get bored and start "grazing". Answering the questions will be a good way to spend a but of the day (cleaning the house being another!)
