NikMar steps for Monday 25th Feb: 11,324 - a bit better than Sunday!
No cake yesterday or bread! Some walking done and body combat class completed. Unfortunately, I've had a little bit of bread with soup for lunch today and had to perfect my Baked Alaska for my meal with the ladies on Saturday. It's worked well, but I've had to eat some ice cream and meringue2 -

Good Morning Warriors
So yesterday I just decided to surrender, allow myself a cheat day, and I am starting fresh this morning... Hopefully this will allow me to get my focus back and get the numbers moving again...
I hope everyone had a great weekend. Saturday was spent running errands most of the day and Sunday was raining and warm (damn ice is melting again) so we didn't get to do any ice fishing this weekend... Did have a chance to get a haircut though - I am officially 0.006 ounces lighter ( whatever it takes )...
Just got back from break, had two hard boiled eggs (instead of fried egg w/ cheese on bulkie) and yes, a couple of bacon (damn bacon, gets me every time)... Have to head over and start logging again.
Anyway Warriors - keep me honest this week, I've got to get back on track~!
Now Steve, you know I don't believe in cheat days. But I do count all of my calories. I love bacon, so I count it and adjust later on. You CAN do this. You just have to have the "WANT TOS", or as they say in the south, the "WON'T TOS"
Cheers2 -

GM WARRIORS.....
THERE ARE SOME CHALLENGE CHANGES THAT ARE BEING DISCUSSED BY US MODS. AS SOON AS THE NEW CHALLENGES ARE CARVED IN STONE I WILL SHARE THEM WITH YOU.
FROM OUR OWN @steplaj
Beginning with the March Challenge, we are going to be returning to the basic challenge format. The step challenge will be put on hold for the month of March and we can reconsider adding it back later if we can get a volunteer to "coordinate" it and do the recording so it does not fall on the captains. This being said, the March Challenges will be as follows;
[*] The Moderator's Challenge or Topic (posted by the Moderators)
[*] The Team "Group" Challenge (posted by a Team each week - rotating)
[*] Individual Team Challenges (optional - Challenges within your own team if you want)
NOW IF YOUR INTERESTED IN CONTINUING THE STEP CHALLENGE FOR OUR TEAM ONLY LET ME KNOW. WE DO NOT HAVE TO LIMIT IT TO 10 STEPPERS AND WE WOULD BE ONLY COMPETING AGAINST OURSELVES.
FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT DO TAKE PART IN IT I WILL DONATE $1 FOR EVERY STEP THAT SURPASSES ME TO THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY AND TO THE US NAVY- US MARINE CORP RELIEF FUND THAT PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO STRUGGLING NAVY-MARINE CORP FAMILIES IN THE NAME OF THE WORKOUT WARRIORS..
BTW I AM IN AS I NEED THE MOTIVATION!!!!

Careful Greg, this could get expensive... Especially if you are laid up with your surgery! Someone that racks up steps beats you by 5 or 10k, OUCH! LOL

Had two eggs this morning, hard boiled, no bacon no tator tots... Just the two eggs! No snacking until lunch - then I am having a fruit snack of blackberries and strawberries after lunch. I will get home tonight in good shape, just have to control any late evening cravings.

GM WARRIORS...
IT JUST GOT REAL ....SURGERY HAS BEEN SET FOR APRIL 2ND AT 0700.... ST JOSEPH TACOMA...WITH PRE OP VISITS SET WITH THE ANESTHESIOLOGIST AND DOC MASTERS.....POST OP VISITS HAVE ALSO BEEN SET.
I AM NOT GOING TO THE CHEER SQUAD DURING RECOVERY I AM STILL GOING TO BE AS ACTIVE ON HERE AS I CAN BE AND AS MUCH AS MARCIE, @STEPLAJ, @melissafeagins , @Beka3695, AND @mari_moulin WILL ALLOW ME TO BE. WHICH I AM GUESSIN ANIT GONNA BE MUCH.
YESTERDAY I GOT SHREDDED BY MY GI DOC......MORE BLOOD TEST TO SEE WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE OSTOMY AND WHY IT'S ACTING THE WAY THAT IT IS.
HE REMOVED ME FROM THE ELECTROLYTE DRINK AND MOVED ME TO JUST STRAIGHT WATER FOR THE NEXT 6 MOS. TO SEE IF THAT IT WILL AIDE IN THE WEIGHT LOSS. HE SAID THAT WITH TAKING 6OOMG OF BI SODIUM 3X'S A DAY THAT'S ALL THE SODIUM I NEED AND HE WANT TO SEE IF THE SUGAR IN THE ELECTROLYTE IS CAUSING THE WEIGHT LOSS TO BE SO SLOW.
HE IS GOING TO CHECKED WITH MY OSTOMY NURSE TO MAKE SURE THAT MY GEAR IS FITTING PROPERLY AND THAT I GOT A GOOD SEAL ON THE WAFER AND BARRIER RING TO PREVENT LEAKAGE ONTO THE SKIN.
HE IS ALSO GOING TO CHECK WITH MY SURGEON WHOM PREFORMED THE SURGERY BACK IN 15 TO GET ALL OF THE DETAILS AS TO WHAT HE DID.
I LIKE HIM AS YESTERDAY WAS MY FIRST VISIT WITH HIM AND HE TALKED TO ME SO I COULD UNDERSTAND IT.
SIDE NOTE HERE HE IS A RETIRED ARMY DOC SERVING IN THE SAND PIT AND AT WALTER REED. SO HE HAS A LOT OF EXPERIENCE WITH ILEOSTOMYS.
SO THERE YOU HAVE MY YESTERDAY..THE GOOD, BAD AND UGLY.
HAVE A GREAT THURSDAY.
