I won money on my PowerBall ticket..bought on a whim..the proceeds will get spent on a whim..it was $4.00 wow!
Not much to tell here. I'm shortly heading over to Costco to pick up my thyroid med, and hopefully the blood pressure one will also be there. Both were requested, but that bp one did not have another refill??? and so they were going to contact my Doc.... that usually doesn't go over so well. Sometimes I don't think they read their emails at her office. So, I may spend part of my morning chasing down a pill that I really don't want....something not right there. And I'll do my duty and hit the gym. Sure hope my heart appreciates that I do that. LOL!
Will come back later and watch/read
Later...
Are You sure it was a weather Human ? I ask since I saw this a while ago.

Is there a reason You do not want the BP pill. I know that my Sister says once You get on them You can't get off of them, True or not I do not know. The Pharmacy we use here gets an OK pretty quickly. I believe they use a Phone call to get the refill OK.GardenKatGardens wrote: »Well, that was quick, no??
Saw this and had to share with Roger...
Cinnaholic, a vegan cinnamon roll shop, is opening its first location in New Jersey May 10 in Westfield, and is marking the occasion by selling cinnamon rolls for $1 on opening day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Westfield location will be at 18 Elm Street.
If this is somewhat near, it might make for an interesting trip in the car?? yes??? It came with a pix, but you'll have to just use your imagination...think warm buns, drizzled with sweetness....mmmmmmm!!!
Let us know how they taste Roger!!!Interesting, What makes the usual ones non Vegan, The frosting or the roll or both ?
Westfield is not that near, maybe a 25 or 35 minute drive and since my brother is familiar with it I would have to get him to drive and as soon as he saw Vegan that would be a non starter
Thanks for the heads up however maybe if this one does good they open one where I would drive to it. Westfield parking can be a problem that would likley be worse from the crowds I expect this will draw. BTW I tend to steer clear of grand openings since I am no fan of crowds. When Sonic opened their location near me the cars were backed up down the highway shoulder and Police were there to handle the traffic.

Howdy all y'all. It's terrific Tuesday! I gave the oldest cat her weekly injection and subsequent "OMG YOU SHOT ME!" treats... I need to get out soon to get cat food, but that doesn't have to be today. It might be, though, as it's supposed to be hot and dry. No chance of rain and 100% chance of high pollen count.
I finished off the meatloaf for breakfast and I have my sirloin tip roast going in a slow cooker with carrots, potatoes, and a large Vidalia onion. Dinner should be about 6:30 this evening, should anyone wish to drop by.

Howdy all y'all. It's thrilling Thursday! Just a few more days until we celebrate mothers all over the country. I've been called a mother a few times myself, but we needn't discuss that any further.
My mother has received the bonsai gardenia that I sent and says it already has a bloom open. Our gardenia here in Peachtree Corners has buds, but no blooms as yet.
They are getting really close to digging more in our yard, for the new drainage conduit. I hope all the power and cable lines are properly mapped!

Here in NJ before You dig You are supposed to call Dig Safe a free service where the Utility Companies send out a truck from each different utility and they map and mark the lines with flags, Blue for water lines as an example. Most people do not call them just to plant flowers in a flower bed although I suspect that technically they are supposed to. We know within a couple of feet where the Water and Gas lines are from when they were marked so that the water company could install the water shutoff valve after they gave up trying to find the old one. Makes no difference, it just needs to be planted today. I turned on the sprinkler for that part of the yard last night for about 30 minuets to soften up the soil and make planting a bit easier!!
Little bit of kitchen clean up needed, and also will run the Dyson. Not nearly as 'urgent' now that Tom E. lives outdoors
And that will be my day, unless there is O's gym. Will have to check on that later today.

Today..Dr. Bones at 10 a.m. Then GYM, then a bit of shopping. Today is 'Mother's Day' for my neighbor. The hispanic folks celebrate Mother's Day on May 10th. Period. So, I need a nice card, and a bunch of flowers! And Sunday, My neighbor will give me a very lovely card and a bunch of flowers!! We've got this down!!!
Enjoying my coffee and have eaten my oatmeal with cinnamon, blueberries and raspberries. I'd eaten my daily banana earlier this morning.
That is something I never heard of Hispanics and Mothers day on the 10th? I wonder if that is all of them or only some. I would have expected it to be in the news from NYC if it was all of them.
Oatmeal with Cinnamon is my brothers recipe, How do the Berries hold up when stirred in or do You just sprinkle them on top ?Had some rain last night..0.32 is what the rain gauge is showing. Nice! Glad I got the black mondo planted. Yes, Roger it is an ornamental grass that grows nicely in shade or semi shade..gets about and inch and a half tall, spreads very slowly by underground runner, and is not cheap to buy. I planted some in the front yard years ago, and it had filled in the bed it was in, bloomed a time or two, and so that is what we used to plant on the hill between my house and Lu's house. Oh, and it stays that dark green all winter long too!!! Plus/plus!! What Ted dug up last week was patches of the Mondo that were here and there around the yard..lovingly planted by little birdies! So, I'm using these free gifts to augment the mondo planted nearly 2 years ago when the yard drains were put in. I see it used in town where Ted lives, as 'grass'. Usually planted on what appears to be 5 inch centers. Fun to watch it fill in.Are there any ornamental grasses that are cheap, I suspect not.
My pomegranate tree is loaded with bright orangy blossoms! Its an ornamental, so no little poms will grow. If I'd known that this tree would grow nicely in my part of GA, I'd have ferreted out the real deal, and grown my own poms. Oh, well....
Ok, time for me to be in motion, so I get to Dr. Bones on time, (and fully dressed)....

Heads up that the cable company has plans to lay new fiber tomorrow, at some unspecified time, so we are likely to be limited to the phones for online access for several hours of the day.
Orion is snoozing happily on J's chair so both of my hands are free for the moment.
I need to do a little sweeping and vacuuming today, I think.
There is also the possibility that they may lay the new Fiber Cable and wait to deactivate the old until the new cable covers enough area. When Verizon Put in their Fiber it was a while before the sale pitches started. IMO The new cable will need to be tested before They switch to it, I could also be wrong
We had 100% rain in our forecast for Sunday and it poured until late afternoon. Over an inch according to the weather forecasters.
Sweeping & Vacuuming has gotten a bit behind as Motivation and Energy are lacking. I'll evaluate how energetic I feel when I get back from the Hospital and a new stop my brother wants to make at the Grocery Store.
We do not need them however they have water at 3 cases for $6 a good price and since it doesn't spoilHe would have bought them yesterday if not for the rain, They would have been in the back of the pickup trucks bed and likely leaked water all over the house so he passed on them. If the Rain is light or absent when we are near there then we get them.

Doing just whatever strikes me today...and I think maybe a late morning nap? Maybe..
Breakfast was a slice and a half of avocado toast, the ever present banana, and a cup of coffee. No Idea what lunch may be, or when it could happen!!! I might even take my old self to Sweet Tom's or Vgreen for a meal. (time dependent)
We have so far managed nearly half inch rain since midnight, and its still happening...chance of rain was 80%, so I'd say I'm getting my fair share!! LOL! I know the little herb pot, the yard moss, and the newly planted mondo grass are enjoying it right down to their little roots!
We worked to get the Dahlias planted on Saturday since they would get watered in with Sunday's rain. Over 1/2 survived, A couple of the others that looked dry and unsprouted may make it. I soaked some that were like that last year and Voila they grew. I put the 4 smallest ones in a really large pot on the back Concrete patio. The three largest ones went into the front yard in front of the Gladiolus saved from last year, they are really large corms too. I did not do the digging in the front yard I only planted and used a tiny shovel to carefully cover them since I can bend over better than my brother.
I used to eat a smallish banana a day until I got tired of them and now eat maybe two a month usually from the loose banana box at the grocery store.I have no problem refolding most maps, The ones I used the most for durability were the ones that had hinged pages. Hagstrom for example. Example the Spiral bound ones such as on this page at Amazon
https://www.amazon.com/hagstrom-maps/s?k=hagstrom+maps
I watched the puff pastry vegan video and the 2 ingredient cake...I'd have to pass on that cake. Though it looked good! Watched Emmy also, of course.
I'm not so good with paper maps, and can't for the life of me fold up one I've opened. Yep, the goats are full sized ones..they will be sold off this fall/early winter and be butchered for the meat. My salad Roger was on a bed of raw kale, and there was a dressing, very nondescript. I remember from the menu it was I think honey and citrus? Not enough to really taste either one, but still you could see it had been dressed. Yes, honey is not vegan, and lately they the Vegans are saying avocado and almonds are also not vegan...really? Pretty soon they will be down to alt milk and cardboard?!?!? I've never seen them mention figs, which also need a small little wasp that crawls into the fruit, and becomes part of the fruit....that must mean 'wasp meat' ??? right, huh, am I right.....lol
Yep, pretty sure its nap time...
Later...
Wait a minute, Avocado and Almond are not Vegan, that is a reach, and IMO ruins the credibility of the people saying that. Figs need a small wasp ? We Have had two fig trees and they are prolific producers, Well they were until the Deer discovered the Figs and ate them all off of the trees.
Honey I can sort of see, OTOH I see nothing wrong with Eggs or Dairy so what do I know. It isn't like they are fertilized eggs or the Dairy Animals are being killed for the Dairy product. What do I know OTOH.
And what is the rationale behind Almonds and Avocados ? People are getting extreme and weird beliefs
Have a Nice Day
