    For today:
    • Morning Jog - Couch to 5k Week 1 Day 1 (done!)
    • 8k+ steps
    • Under 2000 calories
    • Mow the lawn if I'm not too sore from jogging this morning
    • Morning walk/jog was great. No soreness at all. Took a walk with my wife at lunch too.
    • 11k steps today. That's a record for me, at least in terms of what I've tracked.
    • 2012 calories in, but 1898 calories burned according to Google Fit and MFP. I'll call this a win still.
    • Lawn mowed!

Hope everyone else had a good day too!

    My goals today:
I know its afternoon but I am on 3rd shift so this is the start of my day.
Grill a bunch of chicken breast for meal preps.
Try that stretch video @tinkerbellang83 shared.
Keep my steps and calorie goals going.
    Be happy 😋

Didnt get the video done 😕
    Cooked the chicken
Calories and steps are both attained 😋
As @NovusDies says, it was a good day

    Today:

    Be happy
Stick to my minimal *kittening* calories
Be smart on food so I can have clean numbers tomorrow
    8k steps
Figure out something really good to eat on Sunday to help break the food funk
Figure out what is taking so long getting an appointment for cardio clearance for surgery
Call the electrician to get outside lights fixed so wife will be able to deal with dog easier when I am recovering

Going to tack on another goal for today:
    • Play Beat Saber after work

I need to get back in the habit of playing that. It's a really fun VR game that gives you a decent amount of exercise while playing. It's a rhythm game like Guitar Hero or Rock Band, but instead of instruments, you're slicing blocks with light sabers.

    • I didn’t go. I have no excuse really
    • only 700ml today
    • I messaged the trainer! He’s going away so I need to message again in a fortnight

Not the best day, but I did stay with it my calories

Looks interesting. Also kind of expensive considering I don't even own a PS4.

That is always a win. That is 90 percent the other stuff is 10 percent. Except maybe the water if you are dehydrated (dehydration = urine dark color mid-morning on). If you are not there is no reason to fuss about it unless it helps you control your appetite.

Met the first three goals and plan to meet the last one in about an hour.
    • 1940 calories in, 1742 burned (I'm starting to think MFP + Google Fit overestimates this, but since I don't eat extra when I exercise, it doesn't really matter)
    • 11k steps
    • Enjoyed a good 45 minutes of Beat Saber, worked up a good sweat

Oculus Quest might be the most economical option if you're thinking of dipping your toe into VR. It's a standalone headset with it's own library. PS4 + PSVR is quite an investment if you're not a gamer.

I use a Vive Pro headset on my PC which allows for room-scale VR. I'm a video game enthusiast though :)

I can tell you that your average deficit per day between June 1 and Aug 1 was 855 calories per day if that helps.

That sounds about right. I think MFP gives me a 500 calorie deficit but I try to eat a little below that + exercise.

    Thanks.

No problem. I apparently can't help myself but run peoples' numbers.

It'll be interesting to see that average from August-September once I get there. I've upped my activity a lot in the past few weeks.

I agree with the overestimation theory. It seems like everyday they tell me I burn way more than I eat. I am with you though, I just eat the same and say whatever to their estimate.

I have always run TDEE not NEAT. I do have my Apple Watch synced with MFP so I can see how the totals compare with my spreadsheet but I don't follow it.

Do you find mfp and your spreadsheet correlate?
