My name is Bonnie and I am the captain here at Gutbusters. I'm married to Doug (34 years now). We live in Nashville, TN, and have two grown sons – Jonathan and Katie live in Chattanooga and have two Brittany spaniels, Toby and Sadie; and David lives in Greenville SC. We're also foster-fails to Ollie, our Miniature Schnauzer, who adopted us in December 2018. I joined The Biggest Loser Gutbusters team in January 2019 and love it so much. I find so much encouragement and enthusiasm here.
To our new members and returning members, we are so glad you are joining our team. Life is better together! Please post an introduction so everyone can get to know each other. You might want to include what your goal for November is. Your success depends on keeping your eye on the prize and being accountable to a goal helps to keep you focused.
We have several members who have been on the Gutbusters team for several months and they will be introducing themselves so we can all get to know each other. We love to think of this group as our Fit Family. We hope you feel very welcome here from your very first day.
Your weigh-in day is the day of the week you signed up to be in the challenge. We'll post a reminder each day. Be sure to click on the star above to bookmark this page for November.

Please post as frequently as you'd like. A daily check-in with the team will help keep you focused on your goals and we'd love to get to know you better!
November is going to be a challenging month, with the beginning of the holiday season, but it will be a great month to see some changes in our health if we stay true to our focus! Please take a moment to introduce yourself to our team! Feel free to share as much as you are comfortable.
Welcome to Gutbusters! We're glad you're here!

I am a mother of 3 and grandmother of 3. I'm a yo yo dieter. I lose and gain back. I'm following a low carb diet at present as I'm finding I can better control my appetite by cutting out sugar. Instead I'm having full.fat milk, butter, cheese, nuts etc. So.far I think it's working for me. I like the weekly weigh in and accountability of this group. It's great.4

I'm a mommy of 3. 2 older girls (13 and 10) and our miracle son (born 2 months early) who's 18 months old. Baby weight this time around is a bit harder and keeps going and coming. But emergency triage surgery will do that to ya lol. Body is a bit of hormonally so I don't stress to much when a lbs is gained again here or there because next week could be totally different for me. This challenge/group is what is keeping me more conscious about my health overall. If you're new welcome 😁5

I'm a Mommy of two - a 3 year old girl and a soon to be 10 month old boy. The weight seems a lot harder to lose this time around. I'm still about 15lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight and I cannot seem to breakthrough to the next decade.
I've been with this team for a few months and everyone is super motivating and easy to talk to.
Can't wait for November!! Maybe I will actually get to the 150s 🤞🤞3 -
I have two sons and run my own business. I recently quit smoking so I am having more trouble with food than I had earlier in the year. I switched from walking to (trying to) run a couple of months ago. That has been helpful, as has being chased by zombies. I am a big fan of the Zombies, Run! app.
My goals are to lose my last 10 pounds (how ever long it takes) and never smoke again. Never. Ever.5 -
Morning Team! Mom of a 17 year old daughter/headache lol. Ready to take on November. Around the holidays are the hardest but I believe I can do it. 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽 we cannot do it!!!6

Hello team! We are going to kick some booty this coming month! I know it! I am 34 and live in Minneapolis with my husband, Jesse, and our 2 girls. I also have 2 bonus kids who live in ND but we see as often as we can. I have recently been diagnosed with Type2 diabetes but I am determined to not have to take drugs for very long. I’m down 20lbs since I started this journey and I have 30 more to go. Small goals: at 184 I am no longer considered obese. 3lbs!!! Can’t wait to see how amazing everyone is going to do.2

I smoked for 20 years (12-32). I quit when pregnant with my girls but never truly quit. I did chantix and braved the vivid nightmares. I have been smoke free for 1.5 years and I never plan to go back. I believe in you! You have the drive. You can do it!!

Good morning everyone, can't believe we are almost into November, the days/months are flying by.
I live in Southern CA, am 61, on my 2nd marriage (1st one 25 years). I have 2 Sons, 39 & 36 (yikes), and a step daughter, 25. Married for 3 years, (together for 13). I also have 2 kitties, 18 & 7 years old.
I am an accountant, working my full-time job with an hour commute each way... makes for a long day. I also have a couple of side jobs that keep me really busy. I have a hard time fitting in my walks, I need to find a way to make these a priority and include these into my daily routine, I always feel so much better mentally and physically when I do.
I have been with this group for several months, and really enjoy the people here, everyone is so supportive and interesting. I have lost 14 lbs since starting back on MFP in March, (slowly losing, but losing), I am working on getting off the next 15+ lbs. Good Luck to all of you!1 -
@BonnieHosk85 do we have any special challenges set for this coming week? Can I suggest 30 minutes of activity each day for one of these weeks in Nov?4
-
Why, yes, @looneycatblue, you can!! That will be our week 1 challenge!! Thanks for the suggestion!2
-
@elisepfliger04
Congratulations! You should be very proud of yourself, you are setting a great example for your girls. I know how hard it can be even with help. I am currently addicted to nicotine gum and slowly weening myself. It is going well but I don't care, I'll chew this stuff for the rest of my life, if I have to. I'm not smoking.2 -
Please welcome two new members to our Fit Family. We're glad to have you both with us. Please take a moment to introduce yourself.

Hi everyone. I’m a graduate student, studying for my MBA. I graduate in December so I want to drop some fat and add muscle before I go into the next chapter of my life soon.
I’ve searched for a workout partner with no luck. As an undergraduate, MyFitnessPal helped me drop 80lbs, so I know the power of counting calories is a science that works. Unfortunately life happens and almost 50 of those lbs came back.
I am happy to join this group. My goal this month is to get back on track with both diet and exercise4 -
Glad you're with us on this journey, @glouis4!

Hello everyone, really looking forward to a challenge to get me back on track. I have done Biggest Loser challenge in the past, a good year or so ago. Was at my goal weight (range) quit tracking and #15lb came back over the year. So back to tracking and not stopping this time.1

Hello everyone! My name is LaTonya, I live in Florida, I am 43 years old, work full time, and I have 1 child who is 22 years old. 2 days ago I decided to come back on MyFitnessPal after several years to use this as a tool to loss weight. My doctor recently put me on high blood pressure meds and my goal is to to get off them 😁 so here I am. My highest weight was 311 and my current weight is 304 😞 I have hovered between 280 - 298 for years now and it’s time for me to get serious especially since now I have medical issues.
I am happy to be apart of this challenge and my goal for the month of November is about 10 - 15lbs. Because I weight a lot I tend to lose a lot of water weight the first month I start back dieting, consistency is my biggest problem and that’s why I am here to get and to motivate.6 -
welcome to the team @flourchild225 & @TheeSunShine753

Welcome to the Fit Fam, @TheeSunShine75! I'm a Florida (Orlando) girl now living in Nashville! So glad you're on the team and I know you're going to reach your goals!! This is an awesome team made up of a great group of encouraging, transparent people who are on their journey just like you are. I want to get off BP meds also! Let's do it, okay?1

Happy Sunday! Welcome to the first week for November, Gutbusters!
For those of you who are new to the group, here are some weigh-in FAQs:
• When do I post my weigh-in?
Post on your "scheduled weigh-in day". So, if you posted a weight in the New Member Registration thread on a Tuesday, then your scheduled weigh-in day will be each Tuesday of the month. Let me know if you have a question.
• Why is Week 1 beginning on Sunday? Haven't we been already posted our starting weights?
Think of it as a first birthday. You're born, then you must live a whole year before you can celebrate being 1. In this challenge, you post a starting weight, then you have a whole week to work on weight loss before you post your Week 1 weigh-in.
• How do I post my weigh-in?
Your posts should look like this:
Username:
Week: Week #
PW: Previous Weight in pounds
CW: Current Weight in pounds
• What's my previous weight?
If you're new, your Week 1 previous weight is whatever weight you posted in the New Member Registration thread or check out the current spreadsheet to see what your posted info says. If you're returning, your Week 1 previous weight is whatever your weight was in the last week of the previous month.
• Team Dynamics!
A successful month will also include checking in each day with our team. Strive to become acquainted with everyone on the team and encourage each other in the successes and failures we will all experience. Our members are invited to post daily following the guidelines of another challenge called UAC (Ultimate Accountability Challenge). Very simple, but effective, in keeping us focused on our health goals. Please feel free to join that monthly challenge as well. @RangerRickL does a fantastic job there for keeping us motivated daily. I don’t think I’d be as far along on my journey if it wasn’t for TBL and UAC. If you’d like to participate in those guidelines, post this daily with the results.
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank?
Along with our daily check-ins we will also have mini-challenges weekly. I do not want to be the only person coming up with these ideas so if you think of something that may be a good challenge during the week you can post the ideas on the monthly thread or send them to me privately.
• I'm still confused. Who can help me?
Just ask a question here and tag me (@BonnieHosk85). I want you to succeed as much as I want success for ourselves. If you miss your weigh-in, we will message you to remind you. Because I care. If you need to drop out for the month, we’ll hate to see you go but just let us know. Feel free to private message me if you need to.

Hi everyone! My name is Kim. I live in Pennsylvania and am a full time social worker and wife/mother to 4 grown children. I started my journey towards health in October of 2018 when I tipped the scales at 391 😝. My current weight at the start of this challenge is 268. My goal weight is 170, so still such a journey to go. But already my health is so much better. No more medicines for just about everything you could imagine. Plus at my top weight I walked with a walker, now back to normal. I keep trying to add anything/tool/motivation to keep me going strong 💪 on my journey hence I am here and excited to have found you all.7
