Odinarily I would start Xmas shopping around now, eat it all and buy again.
This year I'm going last minute and buying a select few treats.

The doctor has agreed to pull me off my main BP med and allow me to wean myself off my diuretic as I see fit. It could be that as I continue to monitor my BP that I may have to go back on something but I am very hopeful that this is the end of that chapter.13

New jeans are nice, but this is the most important aspect of weight loss. Congrats on taking control of your health!

@NovusDies that's fantastic news!0

I should have mentioned that the other NSV here is that hopefully my low blood pressure is a thing of the past (or will be by tomorrow) and it will stop dragging me down. Dizziness, even mild dizziness, is not conducive to feeling good or being more active. I am sick of things holding me back.2

Although I have not lost nearly the weight you have, I am also dealing with low blood pressure...something I have never had in my entire adult life....I am off three of the hydrazaline but still on verapamil and losartin which has some hydrazaline in it....I go to the docs in a couple weeks so I hope we figure this out....as you said, it isn’t fun to be up and busy and then feel like you are faint....good luck with your issue, too!1 -
Awesome, @NovusDies. I'm hoping to eventually shed the one medication that I take for cholesterol.2

I think this NSV for me has another one delayed by my need of the skin removal. My belly skin area was creating a major gravity well for my heart to pump my blood through. Others will probably shed medication much sooner than I did.1 -

With all your exercise you are probably close now unless your fat loss is contributing to the higher result. My cholesterol was normal before I started losing weight. It turns out that for some people losing weight temporarily raises it.1 -
@NovusDies That's awesome! I'm so happy for you!1

Awesome NSV, @NovusDies !1

My victory yesterday was to look in my lunch bag and decide that I could reasonably make the baggie of pizza and the baggie of chicken wings (leftover from Monday night football dinner) into three lunches.
And I did.
The victory was truly realizing that a year ago I wouldn't have given a thought to having the entire set of leftovers in one sitting and still eat dinner later that night.

My nsv was allowing my husband to take a picture of me. He was so excited because it's one of the few times in the 15 years that we've been together that I've allowed him to take one.5
-
@ConfidentRaven I can just imagine your husband treasuring that lovely photo of you; I'm glad you were "confident" to let him take it.
Hugs to you both!2 -
I put on a tank top yesterday to make dinner and it was form fitting. The big deal was that my form was noticeably smaller!! Even my son mentioned that he could tell my belly wasn't as big.4

I jogged! Just a tiny bit, but I did it. I’ve been contemplating trying a C25K program but couldn’t quite get up the nerve. Yesterday on my walk, I was on a stretch of the path that goes behind houses, with no one around. So I decided to run to the last house, and I made it! I did a couple more short intervals after that but didn’t want to push too hard my first time out. I’m clueless on pacing, and form for that matter, but it’s a start!6
-
@katy9599 Awesome. The first few weeks of C25k don't push the jogging all that hard. If you're interested, give it a try!
For pacing, just take it slow. Try to find a speed where you're challenged but it's not making you so out of breath that you can't continue for a while.3 -

I attended a pot luck at work yesterday (Baked Potato bar with several desserts). immediately following this pot luck was a 3 hour meeting in the same room. I was able to attend the pot luck/baby shower and the following meeting without partaking in any of the treats. I was able to stay at my calorie goal for the day.7

I was traveling on monday and through a couple flight delays, a missed connection, and a three hour drive I somehow managed to avoid candy. I was tempted several times, boy was I tempted. I just kept reminding myself that I will eventually allow candy back and to just hold on a bit longer.6

I have asked my wife (yes I started the conversation) to go with me to have new pictures made in a week or so or as soon as I get my new sports coat and any alteration it needs. I am planning on getting that Saturday.
I am having a devil of a time getting a plain white button down shirt that fits. I am giving up on ordering another and plan to get that Saturday as well. Her grandmother is not long for this world and with the holidays approaching
I need to be ready for a funeral as soon as possible. I hate that so many happen around the holidays but in this case it would be more of a gift for the family if she passes since her dementia has almost fully progressed.5 -
My NSV today was putting back the mint ice cream sandwiches I had put in my cart. I went half a grocery aisle away and then I turned around and put it back in the freezer😀14
-
My NSV today was getting in over 20,000 steps. Ending the day at around 21,417. Previous best (very recent) was 18000ish.
My best a few weeks back would only be like 12k. Been really pushing myself lately to be more active.6 -
Oh, nice!0
