I need to be moved to maintenance/support please. Going forward I can see I'm going to have big swings up and down as I try to keep within maintenance range. Last week's weigh-in was too low, so I spent this past week eating more, but didn't expect quite such a large rebound! Will take me a while to be better at maintaining a steady weight.6 -

Sorry guys. Massive gain this week. I've got an awful virus and been completely inactive. Hopefully it starts to get better this week!6 -

I will move you into the support team today - you have had an amazing success, and here you are at maintenance! It is not easy. I have been in my maintenance range for quite a long time now, and it takes a lot of vigilance and tinkering to stay there. You will make it! Keep weighing in weekly and stay involved with your team - it all helps.1 -
Hi it’s Megan!
I hope you are all doing well.
I was in this group for a bit last year, and after taking a break, I would like to join again for February. Could I be added to the list?2 -

Still 4.5 pounds above my low in mid November. I am back on track with my daytime eating, but struggling with night time snacking. On a good note, I exercised on my seated elliptical trainer on Friday and Saturday - first time exercising since mid-August. Onward and downward!!9 -

Traveling and not feeling great cut into my steps for last week. I'm back in town this week and am hoping this crud goes away quickly!2 -

Thanks @jugar ! Yes, I have had weight loss and regain - the yo-yo - before, and knew this time around that maintenance would be the hardest part for me. I have lost weight before, can do that, but ever since I had my daughter 14 years ago I’ve been unable to maintain a steady weight, so weight loss hasn’t ever lasted very long. Partly because most weight loss plans focus on the weight loss and are not really structured for maintenance (like focusing on the wedding and not the marriage), so in the past I just wasn’t mentally prepared to be as committed to maintenance.
This time is different (though: I have said that before!) in that I’ve spent the past year not just thinking about weight loss, but asking myself - how do I make this sustainable long term, how to I create such strong habits that they will withstand life’s curveballs, how do I keep myself accountable every day and forever?
Now that I’ve hit maintenance I get to put these theories into practice and see if they work.
But i do find maintenance harder, and it’s like I have to start learning all over again because some things that worked for me in weight loss mode are harder to hold up in maintenance. Like chocolate. When losing weight I mostly cut out all foods like chocolate, because my motivation to lose weight was stronger than my desire for chocolate (most the time; I have had chocolate occasionally). But now that I’m not trying to lose weight, the temptation to eat chocolate is stronger, and it is my Achilles heel - a trigger food - once I start eating it, it is too easy for me to over-consume. And chocolate is everywhere - at every store you go to, whether the supermarket, or the petrol station, the post office, the train stations - chocolate is everywhere! So I’m trying to find the right balance - create rules and habits for consumption that I can stick by - and yes, this will take some time and effort to work out.

Finally prepping!!
Look what I can do for 288 calories!
This is a breakfast bake.
1.5 tiny canned biscuits cut in quarters
0.5 slice bacon
1 slice Canadian bacon
1 egg
1 egg white
0.25 c pioneer gravy
Sprinkle of cheddar5 -
Nice biscuits, @Beka3695! That would be a nice treat with some fruit. I just ate, and yet I'm salivating. Any photo with cheese does that, pretty much. Protein for the win! Come over and plan a bit at my house, anytime...1

24 hours til my final weigh in of the month, 24 little hours to focus to try and see off last week's gain and end January in the green!
My Jan has been all over the place..... however feeling ready for February with my planning and logging groove back. I pledge to a daily check in on here next month as being more present here really helps my progress
In good news, I got out and did a night run last night, something i usually hate, but after putting it off in the morning needed to get it done so i did
Happy hump day one and all5
