    I have been out for awhile letting the stress and my unhappiness with my job derail my health goals. I would to continue if I can and Akers Tuesday my weigh in day. Congrats to those who are succeeding! I will try my best to be a better participant

    We are so glad you're back - we will support you any way we can. Just coming here to post a message every day will help in some small way, and hopefully you'll also get some info and inspiration along the way. I hope things get a bit better at work - but you are doing the right thing by prioritizing your health.

    Your weigh-in day is now Tuesday!

    Feb 3 water check in: just one bottle today.

    It was kind of a bad day. I forget to drink when I'm stressed. Tomorrow will be better probably.

    I have been there, worked for a company for 15 years, then all of a sudden it became a living hell, took me 3 years to finally leave... So if you need to vent I will listen, cause I understand...

    A hot shower is like my morning cup of coffee. (I don't drink coffee.) Glad you got it figured out so quickly!

    Sounds like you had a great day (besides the heartburn)! Keep it up.

    Hi! I’m a Amy and I’m hoping February is my month for some weight loss. I have been struggling losing for several months. My own fault. I know I can do this and just need to focus on each day. I am married to @robertefortier536 and my aunt is @micki48! They are both an inspiration for me!

    I am a stay at home mom, all three kids are in school but I lobe picking them up and being there when they need me! I have three dogs, 2 cats and chickens.

    I love to do dot to dot (like 500 dots) and color. That’s what relaxes me the most!

    I started back to exercising this morning. Hoping to make it a habit soon. I have the time so no excuses!

    @AmyRobF I know you can do this. We will support you any way we can. Checking in here daily will definitely help to inspire and motivate. I would also suggest checking out the moderators challenge. Have you written down your goals yet and why you want to do this? I know you are like me and you put your family first and you get whatever is left over, which is often not much. Let your auntie give you some advice...You are important and even though we love our families to no end, you need to prioritize yourself. Now...not when you are 50. You have already accomplished so much for your health, like quitting smoking years ago now. Take time for self-care. You and all the moms deserve this much. The better/happier you are, the better the whole family functions. <3

    Steps for 2/3 were 6422

    We still don't have HOT WATER !!! Was able to take a hot shower last night though cause the plumber taught my husband how to turn it on, but as soon as you turn the water off it won't restart... We have a tankless , and most of the plumbers around here, don't know how to fix them, but we finally found a guy who services them, but he has to talk to the manufacturer to figure out what it is, turned out it was some really fluke parts that stopped working, so they are being replaced today... but moral of the story the newest thing isn't always the best, because they don't teach people how to fix the newest thing... BUT bonus we don't have to pay for it, because it's all covered by the warranty...

    Did yoga this morning, I think I am going to start switching it up, with some Pilates and Barre, I know I've been saying that forever, but the Yoga is just so what I'm used to...

    Anyway, Lunch this week is Turkey wraps, I got the Extreme Wellness spinach/herb wraps, they are only 50 calories and are really good... I use red peppers in my wraps instead of tomatoes, they have a great crunch, and don't get all weird if you cut up slices for the week like a tomato...

    Dinner last night we had grilled cheese and tomato basil soup, I did my yoga after dinner and it that tomato soup gave me the worst heartburn, doing yoga with all that up down, fold over stuff is not very pleasant when you have heartburn, but I powered through..

    Have a wonderful day all !

    Oh and Congrats to our team, looks like we did great in January ! I will try my best to be a better contributor to Feb....

    GOOOOOO WAISTAWAYS !!!!!!

    Oh no! Hope the hot water is all fixed completely real soon. We also have a tankless water heater. Hope it stays happy and pumping hot water. Vikki, you're meal planning is inspiring and sounds yummy. I think I have had those wraps or something like it and they are good.

    I am committing to at least three Pilates workouts a week too. I know @jugar does it even more, so we have that to compare.

    Husband made this delicious meal tonight. Carne Asada with homemade chimichurri sauce, cucumber tomato onion salad, and brown rice. So beautiful had to share.

    Your dinner looks scrumptious. What a great hubby. Thanks for sharing.

    Is this for Sunday or Monday? I put it on Monday because of the date, but I don't have your Sunday steps. I looked and couldn't find them.

    Today's been a good one:

    More than 7 hours' sleep - check
    Exercise (SELF 2020 Challenge, Day 23) - check
    Logged all my grub - check

    Water intake and steps taken could have been better, but.... I'm still in it!

    @bunnybuns1111 That meal your hubby cooked looks sublime!

    "I've enjoyed participating in the current moderators challenge. This is Day 3 - What are your biggest influencers in your current weight loss journey?"

    And here's my submission:

    Day 3

    Biggest Influencers:

    1. MFP - even when I leave, I'm drawn back. When I leave off logging, it all goes a bit wobbly (literally) and when I return to logging, I tend to lose (eventually).
    2. I belong to a few Facebook groups with an exercise / fitness focus. I find these forums very influential.
    3. Dr Jason Fung's The Obesity Code opened my eyes to the way we treat the consumption of sugar.

    Good night, folks!

    Tuesday is flying by!

    I did not make it online this morning - I did a good Pilates workout (it was a tough one today!) and then had to run down the hill to go meet a friend about a collaboration we might be able to make. She is a Norwegian fibre artist and painter who has lived here in Québec for quite a long time. Her husband is an art therapist from this area, and our daughters are the same age. We have known each other for years, but just recently got inspired to work together. I find her weaving and textile creations are easily translated into sound - so we're going to have a blast trying stuff out, even if it goes no further than giving us some pleasant hours together.

    So now I'm catching back up! Still two weigh-ins from yesterday needed:
    @ElleBellesTheoBear
    @Juliemargaretkim

    And three due tomorrow:
    @offitgoes
    @evelynladams527
    @cedarfoxy

    So I met my goal of logging my food and drinking 70 oz water today. I still couldn’t convince myself to get up and work out this morning. It’s frustrating to me because I’m motivated and eager to work out the next morning when I go to bed but then I wake up within an hour of my alarm going off and I change my alarm to later because “I’m so tired and don’t feel like working out”. I don’t know how to fix this negative cycle.

    Feb 4 Water Check-In: About a liter today. Not the best, but not nothing.

    It was a rough mental health day for both of us, a bunch of bad stuff and bad news and bad feelings, so we didn't go to the gym. Turned out to be kinda good cuz there's a massive car accident just across the street and the weather has taken a turn for the slippery. I hate winter driving. Nothing, not even my weight loss or fitness goals, are worth risking my life on icy roads.

    No temptation to eat fast food at least. Had a nice chicken and rice meal.

    Trying to save calories for the 18th. =P

    @ddmiddleton2 that was also me this morning. I had planned on getting up early and going to spin class at 0500 but I couldn’t do it. Reset my alarm and went back to bed for 2 hrs. I had to go to the gym after work today. I didn’t feel like it but once I got there I got my energy to workout. Did 45 minutes on the elliptical.
    I feel like I have so much more energy for the day when I do go to the gym in the morning and I feel so much better about my day when I do but it is sooo hard for me especially in the winter.
    Diet was as planned for today and water was good today.

    Busy day - half at work then a three hour math class. I’m feeling more comfortable with the concepts so we’ll see how it all works out over the next few months.
    I plan to get more exercise during work tomorrow, and I’ll start walking to and from by the end of the month, good weather provided.
    Have a great sleep everyone!

    Today was pretty good. I got up and did a 14 Pilates workout. Logged everything and ended up under. Dinner was great- Fiesta chicken chowder. Had my daughter’s family for dinner. Then, bounced on my big ball for 42 minutes while yelling at he TV during the SOTU. Very cathartic. Going to try to get up early and do a workout first thing tomorrow so I better head off to bed now. Night all.
