I can cross my legs. I was sitting talking to a coworker and I looked down ....and there they were....crossed!!!5

I can cross my legs but it is very uncomfortable which is a shame since I have waited a million years to do it again. It feels like a stretching/agility problem.1
-
I've been big ever since I was a kid, so I never did sit with my legs crossed. usually, I'm just crossing the ankles. I've tried it a few times since I lost my weight, but it pulls the muscles in my hip and my knee, so I don't last very long.0

I'm more comfortable sitting on the floor and/or crossing my legs than I was before, but I still don't feel very comfortable doing so.
I've noticed that I have a greatly improved balance now though! Like just balancing on one foot to put on a sock or a shoe or something, I used to want to topple right over unless I leaned against a wall.3 -

I have been scared to try standing on one foot (fat brain) to put on a sock. If I fall over and hurt myself trying it later I will blame you.3 -

At the risk of death, dismemberment, concussion, bruises, or at least owies, I switched into my sports socks while standing. I cannot say it was my best placement, The part that should be on the heel was off its mark, but I did it and lived to tell the tale.5 -
I doubled the amount of times I generally go to gym in January from 8 to 16. I also increased my weight lifting. I'll find out in a couple of weeks if it's paid off!4

This isn't a really recent NSV but it's one that came to mind today.
Here at work, in the meeting rooms the chairs have metal arms and a seat that's fairly narrow... no adjustment to be made there at all.
Before I started losing weight I remember how uncomfortable sitting in them would be, with the arms jutting into my sides. At a meeting this morning I realized not only is that not happening anymore, but it's not happening by a decent margin, I fit comfortably.8 -
Couple more NSVs today...
The size 46 khakis that just started fitting me last week are already noticeably looser. They were comfortable standing up previously and a bit snug (but still ok) when seated then. Now theye're a bit loose standing and comfortable seated.
The polo I wore today is one of my tighter-fitting 2xl shirts -- one that I haven't felt comfortable wearing in public. I wore it today just to have it under my fleece, but figured I could wear it a little today after my lunch walk as I was a bit overheated... and in doing so I realized that it fits really nicely now and I don't feel awkward wearing this at work at all.
Lastly, I was able to kick up my pace during my lunch walk (2.5 miles) today without getting too sweaty. I did the same walk in 45 minutes today that typically takes me around 55.
Feeling pretty good today!7 -
I'm going to jump right in here... I've had issues with nerve pain and migraines and it has limited my exercise for several years. I've slowly been trying to teach my body that it can tolerate more (mid 2016 I had lost 160 lbs and was really fit, now I've gained 100 lbs back and lost that fitness due to the medical issues.)
I still can't run or lift, but I have adding in cycling on the road and covered 40 km (almost 25 miles) in two rides, in a hilly area. Without too many pain issues either. And while I had to walk up quite a lot of the hills in my first ride, today I managed to cycle up most of them.
That's the best NSV for me5 -
I'm on a roll this week I guess. Down another jeans size, wearing 44s today and they're pretty comfortable.5

I have followed my plan 15 days in a row! This is huge! Commitment to myself and my plan is extremely important to me.6

Back for more NSV fun
Last night, I got drunk for the first time in like 5 years. That's not a victory, but the fact that I didn't turn into a sweaty mess while drinking (when I normally get really overheated and sweaty) was amazing.
Secondly, and more importantly, today I decided that I felt confident enough to donate my 3x and 4x clothing to a local homeless shelter. I was very nervous about this beforehand, as I have lost weight and relapsed before -- lost 110 lbs and then gained it back and more between 2010 - 2018.
Even when I stumble now, I keep trying. I'm confident that I can keep moving forward, or at the very least, stay below 300 lb (and roughly at the size I am now).11 -
So many great stories here, very motivational.
Mine yesterday was playing badminton, for the first time in about 30yrs, and I was running around the court without getting out of breath.4 -
Yesterday, I got on my hands and knees and scrubbed my kitchen floor. I actually did it twice because I was trying to do a deep clean. Got up this morning and I’m not sore at all. That wouldn’t have happened a year ago.3

I haven't been around lately--the spring semester stated and I've not been keeping up with reading the boards here, but! today I'm wearing some brown corduroy pants that are size 16! down from 22/24.
I'm actually starting to feel comfortable wearing pants again. I'll keep up the dresses+leggings, but it's nice to have more options. and there are a couple more 16s I picked up at the thrift store that I'm excited to start rocking.7 -

You are doing great!...I have missed seeing you on here!1 -
It finally happened: After reading so many wonderful posts about going down a belt notch or dress size, I get to post one for me!
I went shopping for new slacks and my new ones do not have an elastic waist, they have a button band and zipper! But the kicker is that the jeans are an 18, no more 22/24Ws. Woot! Woot!6 -

Fantastic!
I get such a buzz when something new and smaller fits.3 -
I worked in a chocolate chip cookie from McDonald's into my budget today at 170 calories - I went for cottage cheese for breakfast instead of the grits I was going to have originally to do. However, when I got the package, I found they had given me 2 cookies instead of one I hate it when they do that!
So I ate the one I wanted and then set the other one aside for a later time, but it was calling to me. However, instead of caving in and eating it (I had calories for 1 cookie, not 2) I gave it to a co-worker instead!6
