I crunched my numbers from my intentional surplus diet/deficit break period. Mathematically I have eaten enough to gain 2 pounds. However, from my experience gaining is not as predictable as losing. There are things that play a bigger role like TEF and increased NEAT in gaining.

My scale is FINALLY back down the majority of water surge. In the last 4 days I have lost 8.4 pounds. Isn't that crazy? I am showing 206.4 today. My lowest recent weight is 202.6. I am not sure if I will continue to drop over the next couple of days or if it will happen later. Anything over 10 pounds of water weight, for me, tends to be less predictable on how it will go. If I gain 4 or 5 pounds it is almost always gone within 5 days.

It would be nice if I dropped a little more before I have to go out of town next week and START IT ALL OVER AGAIN. Getting back down as far as I will go would be like a mental oasis for me. I can deal either way but here is hoping.

If I were going to place a bet I would say I gained 1 to 1.5 pounds of lasting weight. I might have gained the full 2 but it has never happened that cleanly when I have been in a surplus before but that was usually a shorter time frame like a vacation.

Hello, new here so thought to upload my weight measurements. At 25 and 5ft1 I’m meant to lose half my body weight just to be healthy which is a scary concept but I’m v.determined. Progress has been good (and faster than expected but I heard it’s like that in the early days!) weight is in kg, but I think I’ve lost about 12lbs this month. I’ve lost a few inches off my waist and hips too and one inch off of each thigh which is promising!

So happy to hear any advice etc! The app I use is Happy Scale which is SO good. It tells you your trend and maps out a trajectory rather than day to day weight which is helpful.

I actually just came here to make this exact post, haha. Today marks 30 for me, too, which is officially the most weight I've ever intentionally lost.

    Amazing!! Let’s do this!!

That is freaking Awesome @rockconner! I love that feeling. I'm looking forward to under 400 again and then 300.

Sounds like this is the place for weigh in's. I do my weigh ins on Friday. I'm down 7 lbs for total of 53 from my heaviest. I have lost 15 since being back to healthy habits. I am already feeling so much better in general. My mind is clearer and my body is feeling better. I still need new knees but every pound helps with the pressure on them.

@howie6267 congrats on losing over 50! It is amazing how fast the body responds to healthy eating by reducing our pain levels.

Weigh in day for me. I'm down 6 lbs this week and made my first goal of 10% lost. I break my journey down in 10% chunks and set a goal of losing 2 lbs a week. So first goal went pretty quick as I always get large numbers the first few weeks.
