JULY SELF CARE CHALLENGE
It’s day 23 of our self care challenge! I truly did not look at this before I picked the question of the day so they are similar. So today define what gives you stress and be conscious of it.

A slight gain but I'm OK with that. Been a so so week but i did take my meals to work except Fri as it was a little farewell party to a colleague. Party food and wine whilst at work 😁😁😁.

While the numbers on the scale look great, unfortunately it was due to a drop off on calorie consumption and stress. I had to say goodbye to my dog of 13 years due to a sudden illness. The grief is hard to navigate but I know I will get through it. I also got some concerning test results back on my kidney function that I’m hoping was due to dehydration. I go back to test again this week so I need to get my nutrition back on track. I didn’t log my food for s few days but there wasn’t much to log anyway. I’m hoping Monday is a better day.

Organize Pet Room; vacuum & dust - carryover from yesterday
Left the house shortly after lunch yesterday and didn't get home until wee hours of the morning. Dinner was provided at the event. Tried to be careful ... barely squeaked thru just under daily limit. Whew!! Need to buckle down, get eating and exercise back on track ... still want to try to make my July mini goal.
I've somehow lost my mental focus. So I've spent this morning researching "losing focus" ... "staying focused" ... "regaining focus" ... and how focus differs from motivation. Between now and the end of July, I plan to restructure my goals and, hopefully, develop a couple of tools to help stay focused and motivated.
If you have any tips on maintaining focus, I'd appreciate hearing them.

I think every time I lose focus I go back to the basics. I look at why I began this process and what my mindset was at that point. I also like to stay focused on the prize at the end of the journey. Not just a slimmer me but a healthier me. I think restructuring your goals are also a good start. For myself, I am going to make my goals more attainable at the beginning of the August challenge.0 -

What helps me manage stress is a breathing technique ...meditate and a hot bubble bath ...oh and hugs from my daughter2 -

Had a really nice afternoon at my sons yesterday. I love when the family gets together and we missed several family celebrations during lockdown.
I binged again last night. My weight was up almost 4 pounds this morning. I have to get to the bottom of this. I have several theories as to why so I need to eliminate these problems and see what happens. I am off in a bit to get my cortisone shot in my shoulder. I think with less pain in my shoulder it is going to improve my sleep. This may help with the binges. Also, I will be able to go to the gym as I will be able to lift weights.

Hey everyone. Just a quick check in. From what I can tell, I’ve got all your steps in the spreadsheet. Just in case, Have a look and make sure it got all of yours added in.
I’ve been trying to stay on top of my weight loss but not being very successful sadly enough. I’ve been busy with packing and getting last minute things for the new house. I’m tired and sore all over even if I haven’t even been to the gym in 4 days now. Il go tomorrow morning for sure.
Tonight I did Zumba so at least there is that. Anywho keep at it everyone you are all doing great. 🥰4 -
I'm sorry i missed weigh in yesterday. I'm having a rough few days. Mace my furbaby is in the hospital. I'm sitting outside waiting to find out what the diagnoses is. I had to start a Facebook fundraiser because yesterday they said they couldn't help him without 2200.00 up front. Im not asking you for money just share it if you feel compelled. I don't normally do things like this but this is my baby. I don't have children and never can so he means a lot to me.

I shared it in my Facebook page. Since we have Freya (my cat) we have been in the vet who knows how many times. Poor cat is quite unlucky and we have spent a tone of money for her. So I understand perfectly. I can not give any cent because I'm absolutely with no money but I will help in the ways I can.2 -

You are probably burning lots of calories packing. When things settle after the move I am sure you will get back to losing weight.2 -

My bad way of dealing with stress is mindless eating. Some things I do now are walking, reading and watching a funny show on tv. Talking to a friend or family member helps also.1 -
