@KellyBgetsfit great progress photos, you can absolutely see a big difference!!2

@CurvyCalorie congrats on the latest milestone! Amazing job.
@KellyBgetsfit HOLY COW! Those are amazing results and you look like you dropped 20 lbs. I'm so glad you shared those. Very inspiring. One of my favorite things to look at for inspiration are pictures of women who swapped weight lifting for cardio. Most of them have changes like yours. No weight change but brand new body! Keep it up, you look amazing 👏
@SMcFall0215 I set a series of goals and then break them down. I'm trying to be very intentional this year. I have daily mini goals that build towards my weekly goals. Those build towards monthly goals. I start with the big goal and keep asking "how will I do that?" Over and over again until I have small actionable plans for each day.4 -
Good Morning and Happy Tuesday !
I got all my exercise done this morning, but totally left the house without my lunch, the odd part is, I completely forgot to even pack it... So I guess I will try fasting today, or I will order something for lunch, I have tons of options, and Chipotle has that Cauliflower rice now, I had it over the weekend, and it's super yummy, and cuts 180 cal off my veggie bowl there, so yeah....
So yesterday, I didn't do yoga I attempted to but it hurt so bad, I have been having some weird issues, but I think I figured it out, I started taking collagen, and my issues started soon after, so I am going to stop taking them and see if that is the culprit... Issues are severe bloating, to the point it is pushing on my other organs, and I went to do an easy twist ( because I was doing a gentle practice) and It hurt so bad, I was almost in tears, so I did some stretches and it got better, but man...
I didn't get on the treadmill either, It scares me, I don't like my feet hurting... anyway, I did 50 minutes of LS videos instead.. Had to get my steps...(see what happens when you put me in a challenge.. )
I did my 10 min of hiit this morning and then 30 min of LS video.. So tonight is a 1 mile run with a doggo.. We mapped out a route around the neighborhood that is exactly one mile, door to door, so we can practice running, jogging, or whatever it's called... I will do Yoga this evening hopefully...
@KellyBgetsfit Your progress is awesome ! I can't believe thats no weight loss ! Just shows how stupid scales are !
@Ells_runs I'm so sorry for your loss, thats a tough one...
@CurvyCalorie You are doing amazing ! I'm jealous...
Alrighty, Hope you all have a wonderful day !

@Gidgitgoescrazy Plantar fasciitis really rots! I had it for 10 months on the right side and 5 on the left before I was able to get a plan that worked. In order to break the pain loop, I had an injection on the right side. Now, when I walk, I stretch my feet, calves, etc. as I go, which helps keep everybody happy.
Heel dips on stairs and “wall-climbers” help me. I call it “wall climbers” ‘cause you put your foot against the base of the wall or doorway, heel as close as possible at the base, with toes on the wall edge. Move your body closer to the wall and feel the stretch through the foot/arch and lower calf. Make sense? I know - it’s a strange one but effective. While walking, I use tree trunks, curbs, or steps to do the same thing.
Happy Tuesday!2 -
Happy Tuesday indeed! A fresh dusting of snow, very quiet out there. I'm gonna have to work on my plan to beat @Gidgitgoescrazy today Walking to the mailbox (almost 1 mile each way), maybe a Sansone instead of exercise bike this evening... I hope your pains go away, though Vikki. That sounds rotten. I take collagen usually as well, mainly to keep my nails from turning to wimpy cracking miserable things and to get ready for my butt surgery. I never heard of it causing crazy bloating and stuff - yikes!
The 30 day kettlebell squat challenge I am doing is also starting get serious! It was really easy the first few days, but it is building up now. I am not going to be able to do some of the variations in it, but it will still keep increasing gradually through the month. It feels great afterwards, but it is intense. Maybe by the time I am 70 I'll be able to do a pistol squat! A girl can dream, right?
Have a good one, and feel the joy of your exercise today. Smile from gun to tape!2 -
@evelynladams527 Yes that makes sense, and I try to remember to stretch, the weird thing is I only get it from the treadmill, so my podiatrist thinks it is just the way I walk on the treadmill verse regular walking... He told me to just stay off the treadmill as it causes so many feet problems for people, but if I insisted to do it super slow, and really pay attention to how I walk on it..3

Tuesday Weigh-In
PW: 189.1
CW: 182.8
LTD: 50.2
!! I had to step back on the scale TWICE to make sure my eyes weren't seeing things. I would say a solid 2.5 lbs of this was still holiday bloat (you've all seen that I've been pretty range bound in 186-190 the last 2 months really). It was a very steady week, sticking to the plan, getting in a few workouts, and letting myself have measured snacks. But this is probably the biggest real 1-week drop I have had since like summer 2014. I met my January goal (184), my second goal (183 - since I was pretty sure I would hit 184), and crossed the line of 50 lbs lost for the first time ever!!!! Gobsmacked. But so happy!
And ordering Panera Bread for delivery for dinner tonight. I planned it a week ago and have a gift card and work is kicking my BUTT (worked until 12:20am last night ugh) so I have earned a giant caesar salad and some kind of carbs.

Wear the tiara!! Dance and shout! You have lost the equivalent of $1000 in American quarters, the weight of an average male bulldog, or 6 gallons of water but if I were you, I'd take the quarters4 -

I’m still going down even though I did very little last week. I call it a win.
I realize I never really introduced my self. I’m Sarah. I live in the middle of nowhere in Nebraska. I have 2 step children (20&14) and a 2 year old daughter. I love to bake and read. I don’t always check in, but I do read all the comments.9 -

That's definitely a win, Sarah! Welcome to the group. I'm a haphazard poster since last January. Check in, read the comments - you'll glean tips and hints - and post when you can. Is that a cute cat on your shoulder in the pic?1 -

Yes! That is my stepdaughters cat, Sawyer. He is cute, but also fat and can’t do that anymore!

Hello everyone!
Steps today 6,717
I wanted to have a lazy day again but I convinced myself to go for a walk.
I had a good day calorie wise and finished off the last of the ice cream cake from my son's birthday so that won't be tempting me anymore.
My grandmother has been having some health problems so my mom may go stay with her for a few days. Typically my mom is here with my son while hes remote learning so if she goes to stay with my grandmother, I may have to take a day or 2 off work, so hopefully that will be okay.3 -

Welcome Sarah! Didn't you check in earlier and tell us you had Covid or was that someone else on the team? If it was you, how are you feeling? If it wasn't you, I am so sorry.
@Kali225 Way to go girlie!!! Congratulations!!!! You have been working so hard. Your steps are awesome and your dedication to your journey is amazing. Wahoooooo, 50.2 pounds!!2 -
@sarkrisd good to know a bit more about you! Being from the middle of nowhere is wonderful, especially these days. I am glad to be far off the beaten path and able to enjoy a lot of land between me and any neighbours. Your stepdaughter's cat needs to do whatever you're doing - first place last week, and still going down this week! Excellent work.
@MandiSaysHey I hope your schedule works out all right with your mother gone for a few days, and that your grandmother feels better soon. Hang in there! And keep taking those walks, even on lazy days

You are doing so great every day! Keep up the great work.
Met my 9,000+ step goal today. Took a short walk with the short one. But I also did ballet with her, and bounced on my ball. That got me to a disco ball reward of 150 minute active minutes so far this week. I am ahead of my goal. Yay! Logged all my food. Pretty good day. Did have a brownie and sorbet for dessert.
@Gidgitgoescrazy So sorry to hear you were having so much pain. That's not fun and a little scary. Glad you found a work around. Hope you feel better soon. When is your start date for the new job?
@jugar My fingernails are also little paper thin finger coverings. Maybe I need something too.
@MandiSaysHey Hope your grandmother is feeling better soon.
Have a great night.3 -

@Kali225 Congrats 👏 that is a huge milestone for you. Well done!
@micki48 You are doing a wonderful job and I can see how dedicated you are!
@MandiSaysHey Great job getting exercise when you would rather be lazy.
@jugar The squat challenge sounds tough! Glad you are getting snow. We have none😪
@Gidgitgoescrazy Hope you figure out the tummy stuff! That is no fun 😕
Today was busy! I may have been exposed to covid at work. Waiting for that person to get test results. Scrambled to put packets together because the entire therapy team might be out for 24 days quaritine Yikes! Saw all my kids at work, got my packets made, ran some errands after work and then went to Costco. Came home, had dinner, put kids to bed and then lifted weights. Just about ready for bed. Phew!6 -
I haven’t posted for awhile but just caught up on reading and wow lots of inspiration here!
So glad to be with this group!6 -
Good morning lovely Slimmers 🤗😊
Thank you very much for your lovely comments. I'm ok, it is what it is. I'm ready to move on now 😊
The strange part is that my husband lost his dad on 2nd January last year and I lost mine on the 6th January this year. My husband's birthday is on the 4th of January so he lost his dad two days before his birthday, my birthday was on the 12th January and I lost my dad five days before my birthday, what a coincidence 🤷
Anyway I'm back.
My life has changed, too. I gave up one of my part time jobs so I can spend more time with my family. The job wasn't really worth it. It was one hour a day, breakfast club in primary school. It took me 15 minutes to get there and 15 minutes back. When my boys used to attend that primary school it was worth for me going just to take them there. Now they are all in high school it is pointless for me working there. Now I can drive my boys to high school instead of them catching a bus. They are happy, they can have extra 20 minutes in bed 😂 Money wise, by the time I deduct the petrol money I'll only lose £50, so not too bad.
@jugar thank you for excusing me for the weigh in.
I'm really in good place diet wise. Also it is the time of the month so I'm hoping for great weight loss next Monday. I'm going to log my food, too. I have normal meal sections in my diary and I have one section of foods that are 'noughty' foods. I'll be using that section a bit I guess to start with 😂
Thank you again every one for your patience. If I'm not friend with you yet, you are welcome to invite me 😊
I'll do my best to be supportive ♥️
Have a lovely day everybody ❤️8 -

Hi everyone
We're having a takeaway for tea tonight (it's my birthday) and I've guesstimated the calories based on database entries. I looked at getting the food from a chain where I might be able to get accurate nutritional information, but the only local option I would have fancied is Wagamama and they're closed. We're not supposed to travel outside of our local area so that limits the options.
I don't have a birthday cake for possibly the first time in my life which kind of sucks but it was my choice. The one I wanted served 8, and there's just the two of us, and I don't want to be eating it for days, but then they didn't have any stock of cupcakes either. I made some lemon drizzle cupcakes at the weekend, so OH stuck a candle in one of those this morning and that'll do.
Whilst I wanted to do something to celebrate my birthday (and we're extremely limited due to lockdown) I also don't want to blow my calorie goal out of the water. It's not worry about gaining weight, it's that I've been doing so well sticking to it, and I want to keep on with that. I might make another concession and order rice, instead of chips, with my crispy chilli chicken.7 -

Almost back to pre-holiday numbers. Behaviour is back on track at least! I'm going for a skate after French class today and before it gets too dark so that should burn a few calories. I've been walking around the house and doing random exercises with the free weights I have set up in the corner of the bedroom but haven't done a full workout yet due to some lingering back pain from last weekend. Hubby's co-worker's teenage daughter came over to skate and tried to teach me some figure skating jumps and spins. I'm a hockey player... The techniques are very different so I spent a lot of time picking myself back up off the ice after failed attempts. Hope to be all better by this weekend to do it again!4 -
@DD265 Happy Birthday ! That stinks not having a cake for your birthday, but a lemon drizzle cupcake sounds yummy !
@fuschiabolero Barre for 45 min ? I have an app that does Barre workouts, and I would die if I had to do 45 minutes... LOL So Kudos to you !
So I didn't get my exercise done like I had scheduled this morning, I actually woke up super early, so I thought I would try this new app I downloaded, called Fiton, and I even paid for the year subscription, (it was onsale)... Anyway, I really should have tried it first because I totally did not care for their version of cardio, so I wasted my morning trying 4 different workouts for about 5 minutes each.. I will give the other sections of the app a try before I completely give up, I am actually going to start an 8 week strength program on it, next week, so hopefully that suits me better, it's not that the cardio portion was bad, it's just not what I am used to at 5.30am, lol.
Yesterday was good, although I was way under calories, under enough I couldn't even close my day, but it doesn't happen often, so no biggie...
@micki48 I don't start the new job until Feb 2nd and I will be working from 9 till 5.30 - Now I work 7.30 till 4 - so this is going to be an adjustment, but atleast I will be able to get all of my workouts done in the morning and have plenty of time to shower, etc... This job I also have to dress business casual, whereas here it's a jeans and sneakers kinda place.. So I got to go shopping, that was fun ( I did it all online, I don't like shopping in store even when there isn't a pandemic). I also bought some books to brush up on my financial spreadsheets, and a book called Financial analyzing for dummies. So as you can see I am kinda excited..
Have a great day everyone !

@jugar @micki48 @conleywoods thanks ladies!
I am still donning the tiara today - I (drumroll) got yoga done before I logged onto work!! Who am I. It was a quick practice today so maybe that helped mentally motivate.
@DD265 HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! A very strong-willed choice to forgo cake.
Another very long work day for me yesterday, but I have added another 3 miles ran to my January total the last 3 days, which is now 7.5/21 miles. My Panera dinner was delicious, just what I wanted, but ate it quite late. I cannot wait for February when work calms down again! I have my regular Zumba class at 5:30 which will be a good excuse to pause work. Hoping to get in a separate workout as well, although not sure what time that would end up being. This weekend will be one for NAPPING. I also did a haul of online clothes shopping post-holidays, so the weekend will also be for trying on new things, which I love to do now (a sharp shift from just a few years ago when I dreaded getting new clothes because I thought nothing would fit me. Progress!).
@Gidgitgoescrazy I love FitOn! My favorite trainers on there are Danielle, Sydney, and Kenta. Kenta has really good, not too long, arms videos and one of my fave cardio options - "Fat Burn Cardio." (It's tabata style, so if that isn't your groove, then ignore this haha). And Sydney has a lot of Barre and dance-style workouts that I really enjoy. (Core Barre and Booty Barre Toning are my top faves - killers). Which ones did you try that you weren't feeling?3 -

My weight was really high last week due to my earing and period Thank you everyone for your kind words. 🥰3 -
Great morning for reading! You all are putting the smiles on my face this morning. I was feeling very serious before that
I can't get over how many Capricorns we have in this team - I may be missing some, but @ells_runs @eggfreak @DD265 and me. Happy BDs all! I will also plan to have no cake, unless I can give most of it away to my son. It will have to be a cake he likes! We do have an amazing gluten free upside down cake that I have been making from time to time (my husband has celiac disease) that might make an appearance, though. It is SO good, spicy, and not too sweet. And my husband will finish it fast!
@ells_runs your post is beautiful. I am glad you left that one small job - driving your kids to school will be wonderful time spent with them. I always found I had the best conversations with mine while there were in the car, especially while they were in high school. They like it better when we can't look them in the eye!
@Kali225 Who are you indeed! Sending off sparks like a comet! And giving me serious grief in the Fitbit steps challenge...
@Gidgitgoescrazy I can just picture you poring over your new books and trying on clothes for your upcoming job change. So exciting!
@happimess01 I don't like guns either, but this way I can impress my daughter (who is in the Canadian Army, go figure) without ever touching one
Don't make me come and pester you for weigh-ins, ok? Two late ones are @sodonovan74 and @Evallusion and all the remaining Wednesday people know who they are, right? Thanks!4
