    @TeresaW1020 good morning. Hope all is good. Had a question. What do I do if I can’t weigh in this week? My hubby and I had a chance to get out of town for the weekend. I won’t be able to weigh in tomorrow. Wasn’t sure what I should do. Thanks.

    @TeresaW1020 Thanks for the love. My headache disappeared by the evening, thankfully, so I was able to get some good exercise in last night!

    @GabiV125 Good to see the scale going the right direction :smile:

    @raleighgirl09 I can't wait to see what Henry gets up to at the beach! Sounds like you have a good plan for the weekend so I hope it all works out for you. Glad to hear you got some good sleep!

    I know what you mean about accents, I feel like I don't have a strong accent but to you I probably would! Though I have worked with people from all over the world and I get used to their accents pretty quickly so after a while it's like they don't have an accent either. One of my dearest friends is Irish (from Republic of Ireland, not Northern Ireland!) and I love hearing her accent and the little quirks and colloquialisms! As for the American accent, well, I know it varies depending on the region of course (as it does here in Australia too), but we consume so much US-based media (TV, movies, YouTube, games etc.) that it just kind of sounds normal to me!

    @Katmary71 Sending you hugs and strength to get through this.

    @trooworld Thanks for the link, I'll check it out!

    @leonadixon Great way to close the month! :smile:

    @gwamajtw91 Thanks for sharing the map, it's helpful! You would think as a British subject, I would know the difference between Great Britain and the UK, but apparently I did not. I learned something today!
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Despite having a headache for most of the day, Thursday was a good day overall. I had to go with my parents to the local courthouse to sign some legal documents and have them witnessed, so because I had to take off from work to do that, I had to stay late to make up the time. But I got a lot of work done (busy time of the month) and feel ok about where I'm up to. I got home to a hyper toddler who had apparently decided not to take his nap. That meant an early dinner and bed for him! Hubby also went to bed early as he hadn't slept well the night before so he was wrecked. So by 8:45 I had the house to myself! I played around on my phone for a while and then jumped on my bike. I did an Apple Fitness+ spin workout (which I can only kind of follow, because I have an attack bike so I can't stand up on it or adjust the resistance) and then rode for another 15 minutes after that while reading a book. Then I spent a good 20 minutes stretching on the loungeroom floor while watching Netflix!
    I finished the day with a good deficit and feeling good!
    @raleighgirl09 Adventures with Henry is such a fun idea!! I know you are having a blast making these little books for your sweet girl. I’m ready for some spring here in Georgia too! It’s been cold and rainy so much lately. Yeah, I’m not looking forward to the drive down to Orlando but it will be fun to see my new great-niece. :)
    @Katmary71 Sending you good vibes that next month will be much better for you. <3
    @AustinRuadhain I was about to send out a search party for you! Glad to see you checking in with us. <3
    @trooworld Oh if those are the size weights you need then those are much easier to find. Although when I first started Barre Blend I couldn’t find 2 lbs. anywhere and used Dasani bottles for a few weeks. :grin: How did the chocolate from India taste? I would have had to try that too. :)
    @adhmrh That is fine! @Broncobuddee can just skip your weigh-in this week. Have a fun weekend getaway. You deserve it! :)
    @TwistedSassette What a nice break you had getting the house to yourself and being able to work out and enjoy some time for yourself. A busy working mom like you needs that! :)
    @Kerritho Good job on getting the weight to go back down! That is great that you are still fasting. Do you clean fast? And by that I mean just black coffee, plain green or black tea, and plain water or plain sparkling water. If not and you are using creams or sweeteners that will make it much harder to fast longer hours. I know this from personal experience. :)
    Hi Team!! I’m sooo frustrated right now. :s I bought a bra a few weeks ago that I knew was too big but thought it would do. But I hate it. It was a 38DD and it’s too big around but fits well in the cups. So, I went to Khols and bought five bras (because I can’t try them on there) and none of them fit right!! Since losing weight I just don’t know what size I am anymore. I measure 34 band and 40 bust, which the calculators have me anywhere from a 34DDD to a 38C. I can’t find any 34DDD and I’m afraid to order one, but I might have to. And the 38’s don’t fit at all. I tried a 36D and that did ok, but it was still too small in the cup. Most annoying!! Any advice for me? :/
    January Goals: 1/28
    No Sugar Challenge: 28 Days sugar-free!
    Fast for 19+ hours: I fasted 19 hrs.
    Ate on plan: It was a Keto day
    Workout 30+ minutes: Today was a rest day
    Week 4 weigh in Thursday (28Jan2021)
    Previous weight:176.2
    Current weight: 178.2
    LTD MFP #2 56.8 lbs
    LTD overall 121.8
    Well. I got nuthin' for that. I really thought I'd be the same if not a bit less - but that is not to be, I guess. Starting Saturday, I won't be near a reliable scale for a few weeks, going to be at the coast until mid February with the dang Sketchy Scale. I guess I'll weigh on those Thursdays and it will just be whatever it is. I'll feel like I'm flying blind but all I can do is stick to the habits and keep moving. Today was good but again with cereal for lunch and then my 5pm walk (and lunch is at 3) and then the weirdo feelings and obvious low blood sugar. When that happens I am driven to eat and literally do not care about going over calories. It's been so long since it was a problem and now 2 times inside of a week. I am diabetic but A1c is like 5.1 as a usual - I don't even monitor my blood sugar anymore.
    Anywho, I am a tired pup - and tomorrow is a new day. :)
    @TeresaW1020 I have the same bra issues. According to the calculator my cup size is a K. Is that even a real thing? I've always purchased my bras at specialty bra stores like the ones you find in the premium outlet malls and you have to try them on because even the same size bras fit differently. When you find one you like buy one in every colour lol. If the cups fit but the band is too loose you can sew pleats in it. You don't even notice they're there. Congrats on the big loss this month!
    Check In
    I'm still having trouble with my Jekyll & Hyde eating pattern. Exercise this week was good and eating during the day is on plan but I always blow it in the evenings. I'm hoping the Beck Diet Solution strategies will help with that.
    I'm expecting the next few weeks to be a little rough. We lost a good friend unexpectedly yesterday in a woodcutting accident. He and his wife also own the Chocolate store where I work. My heart breaks for her and his 7yr old son who lived with them. Grief, 6 close friends and chocolate is not going to be a good combination. Life is short. Hug the ones you love.
    Hello all- will try to start posting more again, still been reading every day.
    @raleighgirl09 - If you have hypoglycemia sometimes, protein is very helpful. Perhaps the cereal for lunch is too carby for you and you need to add a little protein for balance. Carbs send your blood sugar up and protein keeps it steady. Exercise also makes it go down, so make sure you're not hungry when you set out.
    I hate that feeling and you are right- it makes you want/need to eat everything in sight.
    @troooworld Wow a double workout! Super proud of you! You are on fire!! B) Yeah, I looked at Third Love and might do an order from them next time. I need something for this wedding and I’m running out of time.
    @Jactop Ohhh I am so very sorry for the loss of your friend! What a terrible tragedy. I will pray for his family and those who loved him. :'(
    Hi Everyone! Well, the five bras I bought last night didn’t fit at all. So back they went and three more came home. I finally settled on a 36 DD that is the best of the bunch and will do for now. I’m over trying on bras! :s Tomorrow, hubby and I are driving into Atlanta to pick up our chair that we ordered back in October. I’m super excited to get it home and see how it will look in my living room. Hubby is taking me to lunch and we might do a little shopping. It’s going to be a fun day. :)
    Can you please NOT add me into the February challenge. Thanks 🙏
    Weigh in day Saturday
    SW (1/2/2021): 291.6
    1/9/2021: 288.0 (-3.6)
    1/16/2021: 284.0 (-4.0)
    1/23/2021: 277.8 (-6.2)
    1/30/2021: 277.6 (-0.2)
    Definitely felt the slingshot effect of a solid weight loss the previous week. The body is amazing in that it will do its own thing even when we give it the same treatment. Stay the course and success will come to each of us. Hope everyone has a safe weekend.
    Of course! @Broncobuddee can move you to support for February. That way you can still pop in whenever you want but you won't be expected to weigh-in. Please let us know if you want to be put back in the challenge in March. Take care of yourself! <3
    No change this week! While I was hoping to see the 234 it didn’t happen all week, I got on the scale every morning and the number did go up and down but nope didn’t see anything less than 235.
    I guess that is what happens when I think I can get away with more calories every single day of the week. lol. It was great the week before with my eating and exercising, but didn’t last long. No excuse this week and back to IF.
    @TeresaW1020 AMAZING going 29 days sugar free. I really don’t know how you do it. There is no way I can do it for even a couple of days, you rock!
    Congrats on your new chair :)
    @TwistedSassette isn’t it great when you get the house for yourself. I rarely get that, since COVID I didn’t have it even once. The fun thing is that when I doggy an hour or two for me, I get so excited and start having million ideas and things I want to work on or finish, and by the time I decide on one the time has already gone and they are back home.
    I always laugh about that with my sister.
    @digger61 great loss this week
    @trooworld congrats on your loss. Yes, weight loss does take lots of effort and determination. Preparing ahead of time is always a good idea. You almost guarantee you won’t fall for fast or junk food.
    @vegan4lyfe2012 So sorry that you are struggling. Hang in there! <3
    @mlhopp93 You are doing fantastic!! And it’s good for the body to hold steady for a week or so. A quick loss means it can come back quicker. You want your weight to come off and stay off. Keep it up!! B)
    @trooworld Yayyy on your great week!! I am the same way and have to be hyper-focused and even a little obsessed if I want my weight to come off. This week, I wasn’t that focused and my weigh-in showed it. It’s hard to stay consistent but we have to if we want to see steady progress. I am interested in the food prep that you will be doing. I don’t like the idea of cooking food ahead of time but prepping the ingredients sounds like a really good idea. :)
    @digger61, @Firefly743, @RYcare Congrats on your losses this week! B)
    Sorry I haven't been online much again this weekend. I've been reading all the posts though and so proud of you all for what you're doing! Now the shininess of the new year has worn off, this is when so many people give up. But not us! We've gotta have that stick-to-it-ive-ness!
    I'll head over to the February thread tomorrow and set my goals for February, I haven't really thought much about what I want to achieve next month so I've got to have a think about that too! Meanwhile, I was pretty happy with how I fared in January. All my goals are ticked off and I did lose 0.9kg (2 lbs) despite having a bit of a setback toward the end of the month. Overall, I feel pretty good about January!
    @Jactop I'm so very sorry about your friend, I can't even imagine. Huge hug and prayers for the family and friends. I'm sure the family appreciates your support more than you know.
    Great to the see the awesome losses! I'm sorry for not responding much this month. I started my extra steroid pack planning on the hospital today but felt better when I woke up already. They basically just give me steroids and a temporary pain injection which is basically the only reason I make it home from the hospital after sitting there for hours, I spent the day yesterday calling doctors who are supposed to be excellent but if you have insurance, even if they don't take it, it's illegal to pay cash. So if you have lousy insurance and your doctor refuses to return your calls you're going to have to start threatening people (again) and filing appeals (I've done 5). My family doctor is always a month off, I talk to her in March and am hoping to get a referral to a teaching hospital pain clinic program. So it's stay sane a little longer and while I hate it if I have to go to the ER. I have two pain conditions considered "suicide" diseases but I don't want to die, I just don't want to be suffering so bad all the time and it's been 8 months of BS.
    On a funny note my boyfriend's male cat's claws are too long and sticking in the carpet. He doesn't want us to clip them ourselves so I found a groomer in a local group who would give us a discount for all four cats and she makes house calls. One of mine was so mad at me for taking him to get his claws trimmed early on that he didn't come near me for a month afterward! It's going to be crazy here when she comes, I'll have to close all the doors so they can't hide. It's not like with dogs where they want to please you, we're going to be a bloody mess! If Beau's claws weren't so bad I'd put it off, my cats get free trims with their rescue group but they're closed right now. If you hear of a woman killed in CA by four housecats it was me!
