Walked with a friend and saw another friend walking. It was great to laugh with both of them.
The news is getting better, so that makes me happy too.4 -
@rlaskey2 - I hope your neck feels better soon - wow, you really did a job on it. I still haven't figured out how to hook up the scale to my phone, have you? I have the same one...I keep getting distracted so I need to get online and figure that out.
Yes I did. It was pretty easy once I downloaded the app. I still need to get used to it though but only weighing once per week now. Trying to get my husband to do the app too but he isn’t interested right now.

Yesterday was good, I walked again. I went out with my girlfriends for dinner. It was so nice, hadn’t been out with them forever. Still feeling good, thinking I may just do boxing cardio workouts for a week before restarting weights. I haven’t worked out in a week and so easy to get lazy. That is why I don’t like to take more than a rest day a week.
My days fly by but then when I try to write here the next day I have no idea what I even do. How I easily handled everything at home and kids and worked full time seems crazy to me now that don’t work. Our renovations are keeping me busy too, I need to order some furniture which I know is going to take forever. I am hearing 16-20 weeks still from covid.2 -
@megan_smartiepants1980
That’s the thing about sleep apnea, you might be sleeping what seems like a good amount per night, but when someone stops breathing, they’re constantly getting slightly roused, which prevents us from getting different levels of sleep. I was sleeping 10-12 hours per night, and I felt so fatigued during the day. My doctor referred me, and it turns out I was stopping to breathe SO MUCH (I had no idea). After a month or two with sleep therapy, I now sleep around 7 hours per night, and feel much better. Not saying you have sleep apnea, but if you do, sleep therapy can make a profound difference on energy/fatigue.
@bluetail6
I hope you didn’t get snowed in!!
@Z10Rtza
Congratulations with your scale victory! I’m looking forward to getting under 300 lbs!
@888angie888
That’s an amazing loss this week. You should be excited by that!!

This morning when I first woke up, I knew it was weigh-in day, and then <blank>! LOL. I totally forgot until mid-morning when it flew into my brain. I sometimes have to just laugh at myself. I will weigh-in tomorrow morning!2

20 minutes walking at a 2.5 mph pace today. @megan_smartiepants1970
Decided to return to counseling to work on issues of grief, body image and low self esteem. Was not able to lose weight prior to therapy and do not want to let these issues derail my weight loss. Will start therapy on Monday. Day 2 of eating at maintenance going well and have no more desire to binge.
@888Angie888 Congratulations on your great weight loss and consistent steps
@rlaskey2 a day with friends sounds like a wonderful time! This pandemic has been so isolating.
@icfa5317 It's always more fun to walk with friends. You are blessed.
@lindamtuck2018 That sounds like quite a workout! Weight training is a great exercise as we age to maintain strength and balance.
@jimboden3 loved reading your strategies and rules. Found them very insightful.

I overdid it on my calories today by almost 300. I stayed at work til after 5 today, got hungry, and had extra snacks.i then had pizza, salad, and wine for dinner. What I will call a success, though, is that I only had 1 slice, a small portion of salad with a vinaigrette dressing, and 1 glass of wine. That could’ve very easily been an overage by 1000+ calories.
I took the dog on a walk today...that’s 4 times this week! She’s loving it. I can’t say I’m loving it, but I’m not hating it, and it gives me additional exercise.
My doctor is happy with my progress, but said that because I’ve hit a plateau I need to work even harder - that was no fun to hear. I’ll start jumping back on my treadmill...that thing hasn’t gotten much use lately anyway.
@Megan_smartiepants1970 my steps for 3/11: 7,244! Not my highest from the week, but definitely over my daily goal. I’ll take it!!7 -

Soooooo I'm just thrilled to share that I stayed on the wagon this week - no booze, ate within my calories, moved for 30 minutes each day - it still blows my mind that when I'm "in it" it's a walk in the park but the second I fall off it's the hardest thing in the world to get back on. Go figure! I'll enjoy this while it lasts.
I started the Sweat App Pilates training, I like that I don't notice the time pass as I do it, I still aim to run 3x per week (with one "long run" per week) and last night I spontaneously started jumping rope - I was watching these 7-day jump rope challenges on YouTube and the results were insane, so off I went. We're not supposed to be outside after 6 pm however I live in a pedestrian street and there is nobody so I took the liberty to jump outside my front door as my apartment is way too small for any type of sports other than the stationary bike or yoga/pilates haha!
It's been a great week, I'm at my lowest weight since October and feel motivated.

I'm going to try to post some photos of all the snow. For those of you who live in warmer or desert climates-not high desert, so much- you might look on with interest. For those of you who live in Northern climates, avert your eyes.... Nothing new here4 -
@jimboden3
Thank you for such a thoughtful and informative post!!1 -
@TheresaM787
That’s amazing biking. Is this an exercise bike? I find doing 10 to 12 minutes so hard.
@lcfa5317
Another great biking session. Things seem to be getting better. Missing our friends was a hard part of the pandemic.
@rlaskey2
Nice steps! Cardio boxing sounds intense. Ease yourself back as you don’t want to hurt your neck.
@heatherbluebell
I get being forgetful. I am lucky I remember to get up in the morning.
@Beautyofdreams
Counseling can be so helpful. It has got me through some tough issues in the past.
@red1185
It is great when the doctor is happy with your progress. Great job stopping with one piece of pizza. Pizza is one of my trigger foods and I always have trouble eating 1 or 2 slices.
@Piqueaboo
Awesome loss! You definitely hit the nail on the head. When I get off track I fall into the I will start again tomorrow mentality. Problem is tomorrow never comes. Great job on the exercise.
@Bluetail6
Nice loss! I would love to see the snow pictures.5 -

I am really disappointed in my weigh in this week. My weight went up a pound over night. Coming off a 2 pound gain last week I was hoping to get rid of most of it this week. I did stumble with some night time eating 2 days but my average calories were ok. I am dropping my calories down to 1550 this week. I can’t do 1200 calories as it would send me into a binge cycle. Also, we are having Chinese food on Sunday for my husband’s birthday which means next week I will be fighting to lose water weight. Oh well! 🤷♀️
I have a bad headache today. I have had one most of the week. Stupid covid. I never had headaches like this before I had covid. I am going to fight through it and at least get a walk in. I will do the bike later if it eases off. I won’t do weights again until next week. I might bump it up to 3 times a week. I have to get a lot of housework to get done today as I want the apartment perfect for Sunday when my kids come over. It’s been awhile since we all have been together so it is going to be nice.
Happy Friday!

Exercise 20mins jogging in place.
We ended up grocery shopping Thursday instead of Friday this week for my mom's schedule. Ended up with about 5k steps from that so I jogged/danced in place for the rest of my steps last night.
Due to my lack of clothes situation and not wanting to spend a bunch of money on new clothes, I found a little thrift store not too far from my house. It was a great little place and I was very happy with the quality of the clothes they had. For $27 I got 2 pairs of jeans capris, 7 shirts, 1 wrap, and 2 skirts for my daughter that she picked out.
The 2 jean capris I bought were a size 10 and a size 8. When I got home from shopping, I decided to try on the 10. I held them up and remember thinking 'those are so small, they aren't going to go on'. It's funny, my brain still tries to tell me that I'm bigger than I really am. Those 10's went on and buttoned just fine and they even have a bit of room in them. I'm almost scared to try the 8's on. I know that sounds ridiculous but I can't help it. I still haven't tried them on.5 -

Yesterday was BUSY! Work was busy and I had an appointment with someone to design a built in BBQ. After the appointment, I spent a couple of hours sketching out the layout and tile placement to figure out how many tiles we need to buy. I am so excited to get this done. I will post before and after pics when it is.
I managed to get my 30 minute walk in but my steps did not hit my target. Calories were below 1000 and water was only 64 oz. I am in the office today and back on track. I am at that point (again) where I am bored with food and nothing is appealing. My weight is still up, so I am going to make today a high protein day and get lots of water to help flush whatever excess fluid is still holding on.
Have a great day!

Well I went out and bought new shoes my sketchers didn't work for my feet in fact both my big toe nails are bruised and hurt (when I bought them I was in a walking boot )so I bought them bigger ...I got Columbia Hiking Boots ..went for a short walk 2.66 miles and now I am on the couch .. my screw foot hurts and the top of my other foot hurts but they hurt in my sketchers so I am not sure if it the new shoes or not ..I am thinking about taking the entire weekend off from walking ...I swear it is never ending with me ... I hope everyone else has a great weekend4
-
@Megan_smartiepants1970 - have you looked at a foot specialty store? It might make a difference if you get something that is more supportive
@lelbarou - I’m so glad you are feel better. Have a fantastic weekend
@TheresaM787 - JUST ONE MORE ... I love that!
@Tazaria87 - you did well at the thrift store. It must feel so rewarding to fit into a 10 comfortably. I think you should try on the 8s. It may surprise you.
@lindamtuck2018 - it’s still a loss, maybe you are holding onto some water from your change in exercise. Give your body time to adjust.
@Bluetail6 - I would love to see the pics ❄️☃️❄️
@Piqueaboo - nice loss! Keep up what you are doing, it’s working.
@red1185 - great job on damage control
@Beautyofdreams - I’m glad that you are focusing on you mental health as well as your physical health. That will make a huge impact on your success.
@rlaskey - 16-20 weeks is crazy
@lcfa5317 - all of the past year craziness has really made me appreciate the little thinks like seeing friends and having a good laugh. I can’t wait to really be back to normal.2 -

I love the idea of one more! I feels so much more attainable, and a great way to gradually increase whatever goals we have!
@megan_smartiepants1980
Yikes, that sounds painful! Allowing your toes to heal is probably a good idea. Hopefully you’ll get ‘back on your feet’ (pun intended) even sooner with resting them.

I remembered to weigh in today! LOL. It was up as I expected. My work week was much better than the week prior, but still on a busy side. I wasn’t awesome at following my menu this week, but as I posted earlier this week, I’m being gentle with myself. I have some plans for this weekend for some rest, some walking, and some prep to get me ready for the next week. I have alternating Fridays off, and had to reschedule mine last week to accommodate my team, and I moved it to this coming Thurs, making it a 3-day work week. Looking forward to that as well!
