NSV: I am wearing work trousers that I haven't been able to fit in over a year. They pinch a little in the waist but I don't look like a stuffed sausage...so thighs, hips and butt have slimmed.
@rachelrjh I don't know what a hollow rock is...I have geodes...but it sounds like you mean exercise of some sort. So...congrats?3 -

I have no nsv unfortunately at this time. I am still waiting on the test results I had over the weekend. Hoping to get some answers and then maybe I will have nsv. It's been beautiful out the last few days. We got the pool open and we are supposed to go camping this weekend, I haven't been camping in 9 years. I went and got a pedi yesterday that made me feel a little better about myself.3

Do you do “real” camping or RV camping? I don’t do tents. LOL. We have a travel trailer. LOVE IT! RV camping is a great vacation when you’re trying to stick to an eating and exercise plan because you can take and prepare all your food and there are plenty of fun outdoor activities you can do.

May Week Three
Weigh In Day: Thursdays
PW (Previous Weight): 169.6 (May 13th)
CW (Current Weight): 169.6 (May 20th)
LTD (Loss to Date): 64.4 lbs
A maintain this week?? I'll definitely take it. Had dinner with a friend on Tuesday after hitting a new lifting PR, splurged on sushi last night, and now feeling the bloat this morning. A maintain today means a loss later this week (assuming I can keep it under control at the WFH lunch planned for tomorrow and the social activities of the weekend, of course).
Food:
Mostly under control. I've been doing better this week than last week - still not perfect, but improving. The best thing about it warming up outside is that I am no longer craving warmer, typically calorie dense, foods every hour of the day. The issue now will be stopping me from eating an entire watermelon or $40 worth of cherries in one sitting. Also ice cream. But I suppose ice cream has always been an issue.
Exercise:
As I stated above, I reached a new lifting PR. I can now deadlift 70lbs comfortably and consistently. My form and balance have been an issue for a while, especially since my kinesthetic sense (which helps your body balance itself and whatnot) is strongly affected by my MS, so this is especially rewarding for me.
I'm still trying to find the correct mix of resistance training vs. cardio vs. recovery, and it's definitely going to be changing even more after I return back to the office on a part time basis starting June 15th. It will be strange wearing pants with buttons every day again.
Mindset:
I'm doing better. I'm starting to socialize more, since my friends have started to become fully vaccinated, and while that may be damaging to my wallet/waistline, spending time with people I actually like is bringing me a strong sense of relief when all I've felt for a while is anxiety. Getting outside and seeing blue skies and sunshine also helps a ton.4 -

@KristieJC we usually camp in a tent but we are staying in someones camper who has a seasonal site. I prefer not to do this. I have known these people for a long time, they are friends of my husband and he has worked with her for 21 years at his second job at the bar but I get up a lot at night and up very early in the morning. I just dont want to wake anyone. Otherwise it should be fun.0

Y’all, I just got newly motivated to keep up the eating and exercise plan. Along with several other people I work with, I will be receiving a big company award. We are getting it as a team. This award is given out annually to 25 or so people/groups. My husband received this same award in 2018 (but on his own - not with a team). There was a big dinner, entertainment, etc., and we had to dress fancy. At his event, I wore a size 16 dress. My event will be in September. I’m already down 20 pounds. I have another 3.5-4 months to lose more and go buy a much smaller fancy dress. Also I haven’t seen many of my co-workers since March of last year. I will enjoy surprising them. I can’t wait to shop for that dress!!8

I posted earlier but evidently mfp isn’t accepting pics today. I did have a bell pepper and carrots with ranch made from cottage cheese and then a piece of chicken with great valu peach and pineapple chipotle salsa. That’s pretty good. I don’t have much of an appetite today. I had my second covid shot. I feel fine so far I’m just not hungry.
I haven’t made meatloaf in years honestly because my daughter hates it. I cringe at the thought of turning on the stove. I think I’ll make corned beef and cabbage in the insta pot tomorrow. I’m avoiding very many carbs. And I like hummus but I don’t typically buy it because well I live in the middle of nowhere groceries are once a week or every two weeks. Idk I’m looking for something different as I’m tired of the same foods. So thanks for the ideas.3 -

I looked at my labs from this week versus my labs from a few years ago. Happy to report that my triglycerides are now in normal range. My cholesterol is still a work in progress. I went down a bit and then up a bit.
Motivation time !
I think for most of us this is spring time and I’ve been looking to boost up my meals with home grown veggies and herbs. I do my veggie gardening in pots. So it’s a small scale, think one tomato plant, one zucchini etc. I have a tiny hydroponic set up for herbs indoors.
Even if lacking in space a little chives or herb plant can easy to maintain in a window or balcony. I love to incorporate these into salads and sandwiches. Happy green thumbs everyone !3 -

My mindset needs to move away from the number on the scale so I don’t get discouraged...
I’m feeling a whole lot healthier than I did six months ago. That’s what matters, not the number on the scale.
Have a good weekend everyone.5 -

@rachelrjh
I'm with you on this … I was just over here sulking because I keep flatulating with these last 5lbs... but when I put in perspective, I do feel a lot more healthier than I did 6 months ago and that's what's important. Thanks for that3 -
I finally had time to read through some posts this morning. It looks like y'all are doing great. I am sorry that I can't contribute on a regular basis but I am just wearing too many hats right now. at home, school and church. I am a person that likes to give 100% at whatever I do and I have just not been able to do this. After a soul searching talk with myself, I feel the need to drop out of the group. I wish everyone continued success and I thank the coaches for their love, support and genuine interest in our health and well being physically, mentally, socially and emotionally. To all of you, keep on keeping on.........3

Whoo!! I passed the 20 pound mark. I have started to lose weight sooooo many times over the past 11+ years (since I had my last baby). I usually lose about 13 pounds and get so tired of the dieting that I quit. That’s usually around the 5 week point. It’s been 8 weeks now and 21.1 pounds. And yesterday my husband said he can SEE that I’ve lost weight. Whoo!!!! Here’s to persistence!5 -

My apologies on skipping last Saturday. I was too scared to weigh and too embarrassed to post what I weighed. With today’s weight, it looks like I had EVERY reason to be embarrassed/scared. Anyway, here ya go!
