So I finished work and had supper, and i was just full of beans. Then I saw the group challenge on the main page (the 70k steps in a week challenge) and I thought "you know what, Tanya, go for a walk" So I did!
There's a nice walk- 4.25km ish around my area and it was a lovely evening.
So I use "Map My Walk" and after every mile it tells you what your split pace per KM it is. After the first mile, my split pace was 10min 55sec per KM. and I thought "noice, that's the fastest I've ever been" but then came the uphill struggle (literally, it's a pretty steep incline for a while). Anyway after the 2nd mile, I was over the worst of it, and its mostly downhill.
Well, "she" (the timer woman lol) said "split pace, 11 minutes, 1 second" I said "oh like hell you are" and just bombed it home! haha. I was all red-faced and sweaty by the end of it- but finished with an average of 10min 44 seconds per km!
I was looking back at my previous times of doing this and I actually shaved off 6 minutes and 45 seconds from the first time I did it about 6 months ago! So I am really happy
Anyway, just wanted to share that lol. Back to my studies now. Have a great day all!!
All I can say is inspiring!hi all. happy monday. i'm hoping everyone enjoyed their weekend.
i only gained 1.8 lbs yesterday. that was expected since i had a late dinner, late dessert with lots of sugar and an early bed. went to bed on a full tummy. got up expecting to hit the gym but daughter wasn't feeling well. so i went on a walk. i had to burn off a lot of sugar calories. 6.18 miles in 2 hours 1 minute, according to google maps. fitbit said 5.74 miles. we all know fitbits conspire with our scales to keep us fat. so far i have 12,725 steps.
A 2 hour walk! I don’t know how you do it. Inspiring!1 -

@lindamtuck2018 enjoy your evening in a restaurant. It must be wonderful to get out and see people and do things. Your steps are great and I bet its helping your diabetes management too.
@Poohbah1972 You'll be under 400 before the next weigh-in. You and Lynn are working really hard on improving fitness and health and you will have to set new goals before you know it.
@littleflutterby great steps and what a fast walk! Hope you are dancing with your wife again because I think those steps ought to count too.
@rwood566 Your dedication to stay under calories and exercise is inspiring! Hope you enjoyed the celebration and bison burgers sound amazing.
@Mssouzeb great self control at McDonald's. Congratulations on getting your first covid vaccination and the discomfort will fade soon.1 -

Good Evening Everyone...
The power of the Keto Bread can't not be denied. Every morning since the beginning, breakfast was glorious... The eggs, the bacon, and the Magnificent Keto Toast with Salted butter, gently tugged apart with my fingers into nice bite sized pieces, which I would use to mop up my runny salted egg yolks. Every morning, I kid you not it would put a smile on Lynn and I's face. It was perfection, each day, before heading off to work. And that perfection, and those smiles helped to propel us effortlessly through the day.
Then approximately a month ago... Disaster struck. No longer could I bake a Loaf of the "Best Keto Bread". They fell flat, like bricks. Not only were they bricks, but they no longer tasted good, they no longer soaked up Yoke like they once did, they had no crunch along the edges. And as they were so small, there was definitely no toast left for a bit of Jam, Peanut Butter or Syrup. All the JOY WAS BLED DRY from them. They were the Anti-Toast.
At first, it didn't dramatically change the outcome of a given day. But don't doubt it for a second... Every morning as much as I once smiled as I indulged in that one perfect thing, I now knew what I was missing, and slowly but surely an emptiness grew where once a solid beacon of light stood steadfast.
The shine was removed from my day, I was just that much less able to tackle the day on my terms, as my terms themselves were slightly tarnished.
Laugh and heed not the seriousness in which I tell this tale. But instead try and understand how one perfect thing removed from each and every day does in fact play with the very fabric of your reality.
All I can say is.... What a great day today, and it all started with that Perfect Toast (and a Kiss and a Hug from my Perfect Fiancé). Seriously though, well I may jest... I am just as serious... It's funny isn't it? But True I say.... TRUE!!! 😎
Back and Bicep's today was fantastic! Both Lynn and I really enjoyed ourselves. I had lots in the tank, and we drove ourselves to the Limit.
We even finished up in just short of 1 hour.
Love the food you eat! Love that special person in your life, and Eat em both when feeling HUNGRY!!! 😍 (ooops, did I say that?) 😋😂
Good night my friends! 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

Hubby and I went for a 3 mile walk this morning 🤩🤗 I'm so proud of him! He even shaved off time from his first walk to today. My daughter wanted to keep reading past her one hour mark, so we read for a total of 90 minutes. I love our snuggly, one-on-one reading time. It's so much sitting though. Then it was the boy's turn, another hour of snuggly time. Oh my booty was tired from sitting for so long. Went on the bike for a half hour, that helped get the feeling back😆 At dinner, noticed that I only had about 8,000 steps in, so after I cleaned up, went out for a quick 2 mile walk, then drank my fifth cup of seltzer. Now, it's time for some snuggly tv time.4 -

Way to go Downsizers. Numero uno yet again.
It's bad when your second highest calorie meal is dessert. Only 50 calories short of tops. I didn't read the calories and serving size of the Madelines.
Check in for 6/14:
Steps - 15304. Didn't do much after the walk. To hot and feet hurt. I don't know how I'm going to walk 20 miles, much less 60. I'll work up as much as possible though.
Calories - 1750 with no scrimping and 490 calorie dessert.
Exercise - 6 mile walk. Trying to find a long walk path for training.
Tomorrow I get a holter harness for 24 hours. It should be interesting. Sleep department called today. I stop breathing 6 times an hour. Mild obstructive apnea. I'm holding off on the cpap for now since I'm still losing weight and that can change the settings. Frustrating that I was fine on the walk but got lightheaded quickly the rest of the day.
Good luck to @my_monkey_my_circus on your surgery tomorrow. It's a huge step.4 -

Good morning.
Lately is quite impossible to bite a piece of time to be here. This last week has been crazy. My psychologist told me that i need to go to a pain kliniek for my pain syndrome and i need to try to ask for a disability card or something like that.
We went to my general practitioner and he told me that I wasn´t insuranced anymore from my health insurance, which is a BIG issue. So we went yesterday and they said that i was sort of blocked because I don´t work and I don´t get any money from anywhere. So as my bank account is in zero and they can not take money to help, they stopped helping. Now I´m going to be sort of under the custody of my girlfriend. And she is having a job of 24 hours a week, so her salary is almost nothing.
My dietitian told me that I´m going to have to do a surgery, again. More money to think about.
Our car broke yesterday, last time. It has been giving us different issue throughout the year but this was a goodbye. So now no car for anything and we live in a little village apart from the world. So taking the car of my father in law is the only possibility, and no money for a new car.
One of my best friends is much probably having an ovary cancer and she is is a really bad relation with her husband, and I can not do shiit. So super annoyed and worried with that.
On top of this, my studies are going to more and more and I am going to have exams and my head doesn´t take any information, so I am quite nervous about it.
I am eating some days really good and some days really bad.
The only thing that is going better is my steps.
And Sunday I was an ART MODEL for eight people and that felt amazing.
I´m sorry for not being able to be more often here. I really loved it when I was really active and reading every comment and replying.. But right now having time for a shower is a win win.
I love you all.6 -
Elliptical Day 2...
AaarrRRGGHGHGHHHH! 😆
25 minutes, found my pace. Rubber legs. YEAH BABY! 😃😎
Did not wear the chest strap heart monitor, as it turns out I need a tiny little screw driver to install one of them flat little batteries in it. (I'll do that tonight). And my Fitbit did work marginally better then yesterday, but still messed up royally. When I held the Heart rate monitor handles on the Elliptical it clearly showed I was working my *kitten* off in the area of 155-160+ most of a large piece of the Elliptical pie. But it's just too uncomfortable to hold that particular spot on the elliptical and I vastly prefer holding the large swinging arms.
I'm fairly certain this is as good workout as hitting the streets, I was quite drenched and that's with a fan blowing right on me. Plus, I had rubber legs when I got off the machine, so apparently my legs are getting some kind of strength training out of it. I figure 25 minutes on there then dragging my *kitten* upstairs is similar to what I was doing outside. Of course, I got chipped on calorie burn, and it appears the Elliptical really chips me even more. I'm hoping once I wear the chest monitor it will more accurately gauge my Calorie burn? Cause as it stands, I'm fairly certain it's not.
Kay I better get going, I want to put the battery in that heart rate monitor and find my Tablet charger and set it up for tomorrow before I leave for work. 😄
Have a Terrific Tuesday Boys and Girls! (And I'm pretty sure I burned more like 600 calories, but whatever!!) 😛

@amymartin555
HOW? Did you have the strength to go swimming after walking over 24,000 steps? Are you a Flintstone's kid? 😆 I love seeing those remarkably high step counts, 24,000👏🏻👏🏻 Way to go Amy staying under your calorie goal, swimming for a half hour AND walking 24,000 steps! 🎉🎉
@rwood566
You hit over 15,000 steps AND you did a SIX mile walk!! Roger, that's AMAZING 👏🏻👏🏻 Wait, what? Is this for the trip with the kids? Walking 20 miles, is that in one day? What's this about 60 miles? Interest is piqued.
You are a calorie budgeting wizard! You have such a low calorie goal and then you were able to save enough for a yummy dessert. Now, that is planning.🙌🏻🙌🏻
I'm sorry to hear that you became lightheaded. Did you get lightheaded because not enough electrolytes? Water may not be enough to keep you hydrated, especially when you go on a SIX MILE walk (so impressed).
@runzfromzombies
Congrats on your loss! How are you doing?
@roz0810
Nice step day 👏🏻👏🏻 I've been meaning to ask, have you found any new walking videos that you like for your treadmill?
@Z10Rtza
Ziortza, I am so terribly sorry that you are going through so much right now. Saying last week was crazy, was an understatement. I'm so sorry 🤗 I'm glad to hear that you have the support of your girlfriend and that you are still getting in steps, especially with everything going on. We are here for you. Please take care of yourself in every way you can. You are a strong woman. You'll get through this difficult time and come out better from it. 🤗
@Poobah1972
Gahhh! Technology needs to work. Well, at least tomorrow you'll get that heart rate monitor on and working. Wow, it sounds like you really pushed yourself on the elliptical. Way to go Jonathan, that's a tough workout. Do you prefer doing your laps walking outside or the elliptical?3 -
I know this isn't what The Great Dolly meant, but it's raining outside- just waiting for the thunder to stop so that we can go for a wet walk.

I am finding my groove with walking every day. Also just getting into a routine with lifting. Yesterday I squatted 65lbs, overhead pressed 30, and deadlifted 70. Not too shabby for a weak girl!

@TheresaM787
There is so much green in your check in. Well done! Theresa, how do you do it all?
@amymartin555
Another awesome step day!
@rwood566
You sure are training hard for the 3 day walk. When does it happen? I was diagnosed with mild sleep apnea years ago. I went for another sleep study and this time it was severe but I had gained a ton of weight. I had the test done several month after the second as I had lost a good bit of weight. It now is mild except when I am on my back. I choose not to get the cpap and have another study when I lose more weight. So yes, losing weight definitely helps with sleep apnea.
@Z10Rtza
I am sorry you have so many things happening. Lots of virtual hugs!

I don’t think I will get a walk in today. I don’t want to be hurting too much to enjoy my birthday lunch and shopping with my daughter and granddaughters. I am so excited to sit on a patio and order food. Off to look at menus to pick where I want to go.
