We are in the low clouds this morning so murky and damp but at least the mild air travelling up from the mid Atlantic Azores is drifting across Cornwall. Too wet to risk using my electric hedge trimmer at the moment!
George enjoyed a walk round the block while Betty pretended to sleep, not wanting to go. I don’t force either to do what they don’t want and am sort of confident Betty is now housetrained… only sort of!
The new curtains look nice and although not thick Winter material, gave the dining room a cosy feel last night so worth some cross shouting! Fingers crossed Lin, heating now sorted and hopefully no big shock when the electric meter gets read. I pay monthly so accumulate a pot during the summer months that goes towards topping up payments this time of year but it’s another utility on the increase!
I’m sipping coffee and going to Google search chicken casserole recipes because the one thing I found priced reasonably at the expensive supermarket was a pack of free range chicken thighs that once belonged to a chook that got to run about!!
Hmmm, perhaps I’ll look through some of my many cookbooks instead.
Happy Saturday everyone. I’m sure to pop back later to see what everyone is up to.

Happy Saturday! Got all my cards done with checks ready to be mailed. My informed mail tells me that the stamps will be here today. So if they arrive before I leave I can get them mailed. Robby has a Christmas recital at 5:00 but we are having tacos at Rob and Lisa's at 2:00. Lot's of activity between now and Christmas but at least I am done with all my gifts except for Joe. I will probably get him a gift certificate to the place we go for lunch.
Jackie, we had and still are having very heavy winds here up to 50 mph gusts. Last night a friend called to ask me where my son lived because there was a tornado that touched down in his area. I called them and they were in basement while the sirens went off but were safe and still had power. It turns out that a wall collapsed at an Amazon warehouse where employees were trapped. I haven't had an update to see if anyone was hurt but I pray not. My son and his wife are fine.
Lin, I did finish my laundry and even ordered Max's birthday gift for his January 6 birthday. His mom always gives me ideas so I buy what they want. Bryanna is coming Monday to clean the house and I am happy about that. I have maintained a little but she gets in the grit of things.
Patsy, I am not sure where we are having Christmas this year but assume I will find out this afternoon. We actually do Christmas Eve for our celebration and Christmas morning we go to Rob and Lisa's for breakfast so kids can play with their gifts from Santa. Plans could change but we will see.
Anne, missed you this morning hope all is well.
Have a good day stay safe and healthy.

Good morning all! You know the longer this group communicates ,the more I think of this group throughout the day. I go along and think things like, “oh I must remember to tell the sneakers this or that.” I even see things while doing my Christmas shopping and think, “I’ll bet one of the sneakers would like that.” I told John about this and he doubled over laughing. Patsy, you have never met these ladies! He said it reminded him of the little kids who have invisible little playmates. do any of you remember an old movie about Harvey the big white rabbit? Starring Jimmy Stewart! Okay I admit it, I am a full on goof!
We have really heavy wind and rain. Torrential rain really! Not very pleasant to drive around and look at the Christmas lights. Another night we can do that.
John is still losing weight so I am going to fix a heavy dinner but with veggie options for me. This guy is disappearing before my eyes. He lost two more pounds yesterday. He doesn’t seem to have any other symptoms and his blood work is normal. This is odd! He does seem to have a lot of arthritis like me, and that’s a worry. Worries of the aging.
Now I must really put on my thinking cap. The little things that make Christmas special for me are things like sentimental moments and activities. We are watching Polar Express tonight. Planning our Christmas Eve dinner and the games with funny prizes for winners. I usually write a special toast I read at dinner. I play relentless Christmas music but I need to find music that doesn’t grate on the nerves. You can see I really get into this. No one enjoys Christmas like I do.
Well dear ones, I love reading your posts and hearing about your plans. I would call each of you during the holidays, if I knew your phone numbers and you were not involved with your own activities.
You are all very dear to me.
Merry Safe and healthy Christmas,
Patsy🎄🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶😘

Well, that was odd, I was typing and the screen froze and after a while, I was kicked out of the app. What?
Okay, we had ice and snow overnight. Winds were strong but no damage. By this afternoon it warmed up and the sun was out so the ice disappeared. Yes!
I had multiple deliveries today, several on my front porch and some at the mailbox. I was able to wait until the ice disappeared before trekking down to get those.
One box was quite damaged so I did pay close attention to the contents. I purchased a heated throw/cover. All looked well and I plugged it in. Oh my, what delicious warmth.
I have a library book that must be returned early next week, I had hoped to renew it but someone else wants it, so I will be reading quickly! But the heated throw will likely put me to sleep in the evening. 😄
I see Anne stopped by with a new user name. I hope you are okay my friend. I don’t see any text.
Sandy, a fun afternoon/evening. I hope your stamps arrived. Good shopping! It is nice when people will tell you what they want/need. I always know what I want. 🤣😂🤣. And I did finish all the laundry I had planned to wash/dry. There’s always more if I look hard enough.
Reveal: I got myself an Advent calendar and have been opening one envelope each day. And what a lot of fun. Not chocolates but little tiny things related to card making. Just perfect for me and I felt I wanted to try this as it was the first one I had ever seen. Loving it! I am trying to not pinch the little bags because I found I could guess many of the items.
Patsy, I am glad you enjoy Christmas and hope you find everything to make your celebration a happy and joy filled time. Are there any online Christmas playlists you could use for your music? Just 2 weeks to go.
Jackie, did you find a casserole recipe? We’re you planning to make that this weekend? I need to cook some beans and rice again. Soon. I was going to make gluten free macaroni and tomatoes but didn’t do that either. I had purchased some packages of dehydrated hash browns and decided I wanted to try them as they had some upsetting ingredients (which were not revealed online). I fussed with them and found out, yep, they will not work for me. But the other cooking plans were shelved.
I am looking forward to cuddling up in my new warm throw.
Be safe!

Oh no, a new Anne again doesn’t bode well if another lock out has occurred! You have found us again Anne but for how long?
Chicken casserole was delicious if I do say so myself. Looked at a variety of recipes and decided Good Housekeeping’s called for veggie additions that were snoozing in my fridge and then I swapped Spanish Chorizo for bacon bits and slow cooked for 5 hours…. Perfection and maybe something John would enjoy Patsy with a few roast potatoes. My gravy sauce would stick to his ribs!
I did hear on our radio news about the tornadoes, apparently the strongest ever recorded. The extreme weather events are becoming as scary as the pandemic.
For the first time in over 50 years I heard “It’s a marshmallow world in the Winter, when the snow comes to cover the ground” on my favourite radio station and that tells me Christmas isn’t far away!
Usually when it comes to music on the day, I skip from Phil Spector’s Christmas album to carols from Kings College, Cambridge choir so quite a contrast.
Time to put my head down.

Oh boy ladies, I've just spent from 6:30 to now to try and get back into our group. New name, new photo of the pup. Exhausted! I need a cup of tea and a shower. If I've made it will post later.

I was without internet service until an hour ago, apparently due to a big outage over a wide area from around 3.30am. Engineers reporting a power surge but no reason why and someone mentioned a storm but I wasn’t aware of one last night. Anyway, just like JillyBurg, I’m back!
A bleak, grey day but not raining at the moment so I’ll take the opportunity to muck out the hens and at least snip a few wayward branches off the hedge ready for my new trellis.
Back later,

Hello. Bright, sunny and breezy today. I need to go out and hunt for a package. I have a notice that one was delivered at 7:30am. 🤦🏼♀️
Be safe everyone. Hello Jackie and Anne🥰
Church this morning. Fussing with my iPad. Charging problem this morning. 🤦🏼♀️
Oh, and sleeping under that heated throw was marvelous. Just set on low and the timer has it on for 3 hours. Perfect!
See you later.

Happy Sunday! I am done with Mass and after catching up on computer will stamp my cards with the stamps that arrived yesterday. I have three gifts to put in gift bags for my friends when we meet for our Christmas dinner on the 21st. and I will be done. Christmas Eve will be at Lisa's mom and dad's house.
We have decided on a meat platter for sandwiches and salad. I will make ribs and meatballs for appetizers and of course some kind of dessert. We haven't sorted out all the details but will get it done.
Christmas morning we will go to Rob and Lisa's for breakfast to spend a little time with the kiddos.
The recital was wonderful with all the kids and of course watching Robby brought me to tears. He is doing so well with the new school and the right meds, I am so proud of him. He had a two line solo which I am sharing because even though I am his grandma I think he has a really good voice. You be the judge.
https://youtu.be/7-dgGEQxaWw
Also to bore you I am sharing my inside Christmas decorations.
Glad you got back on Anne and sorry about your internet service Jackie. Lin I hope you found your package and Patsy will check for you later. Have a great day.

Hello! I'm still here.
Maria from next door just phoned to tell me that a relative and a friend of hers have now both got shingles just like me, three weeks after the vaccine. Of course "no connection" say the powers that be who probably prefer us living with shingles than keeling over if unvaccinated.
I was inspired by JACKIES chicken stew and made myself the same for today and tomorrow. It smells wonderful but tastes even better and PATSY if you make the same for John he will be leaping around like a spring chicken. Perfect for a cold wintry day its guaranteed to coat the ribs and maybe even grow whiskers on your chest.
Mark and Mary Jo have just turned up. No afternoon nap for me and Bean judging by the bangs drifting up the stairs.
It was a wild and windy night. I didn't really notice it that much as I grappled with Ma fitness pal. Mikes friend Sandy phoned to say poor little Amber was a quivering mass of fur but the Bean took it all in her stride, leaning against me as I grappled with trying to get back with you girls. Of course I didn't until early this morning. So thats really been my life for the past two days. Well the groceries and Michael showed up on Friday to put away or feed/ Not newsworthy!
Lovely Christmassy posts from everyone to put us in the mood. Plus Lin cuddled up under a warming blankie, bliss indeed. SANDY, ever efficient - up and running with her gifts and plans.
Happy Sunday everyone, Anne, up and running again and full of good cheer.

I’m searching through YouTube for Christmas music and found Enya, one of my favourites so with the fire lit and George laid out drying his washed tummy while Betty snores in her bed, all is peaceful. While I cleaned out the hens and trimmed the hedge my neighbours took George out for a walk to the Quoit. Only problem was the amount of mud and grit he picked up on his legs and undercarriage so as soon as they returned, into the baby bath he had to go otherwise I just knew he would try to dry himself rolling on my bed! Luckily I’d just lit the fire so he should soon dry.
Lin, your post must have disappeared as I typed mine last night as there was no sign of it then. Your mention of the lovely electric over blanket made me look back! Strange goings on generally on MFP, that’s for sure. Good luck with the parcel hunt. We are warned that due to staff shortages, our mail service is going to be chaotic so I need to find a postbox that my cards will fit in. Most around this area are Victorian, built into someone’s cottage wall and designed for personal, small notelets! Ah, the good old days!
Sandy, Robby is a fabulous singer and such confidence! I’m not sure I would have been brave enough at his age! Grandma’s are always allowed to be proud and I’m so pleased for Robby that the school is working out for him.
Cosy apartment and beautiful coloured lamps.
I shall definitely make more casseroles in the future Anne as they are so easy to prepare and I want to get myself back to cooking a variety of meals. That time with the renovations going on had me living on easy options but since I’ve always enjoyed time in my kitchen, nothing is that difficult. I just watched a video of Mary Berry preparing marinated pork tenderloin wearing a beautiful white polka dot blouse. She showed how, after a couple of hours in the fridge, to shake off the marinade and promptly dropped the pork with a splat that sent juices everywhere, including across her front! Good for her, she kept that piece of video in!I
Time to steam veggies and reheat the casserole.
Stay safe friends.
Jackie 🥰0 -
Sandy, Robby got it all! Rhythm, words, pitch!! Wonderful….at that age I would have cried in fear. Thanks for sharing.
Lin0 -
Yes, lovely video SANDY and you have every right to be very proud of him. My babiest grandson Derek will by 29 this coming week ''Yikes", enjoy Robby before he is "all grown up".
Now girls a word of caution. do NOT make Jamie Olivers cookies from his Revolution cookbook. Oh my, they are addictive and I can't keep my greedy little paws out of the cookie jar! Good for Mary Berry JACKIE, and its good to know even the most talented of cooks have their bad moments.
Mark and Mary Jo have departed leaving Jilly and myself in quietude.

Besides the obvious rain and chill, things are fine here. John has been shopping fir Christmas goodies. I hope he eats some of it. He has lost another pound. This despite a dinner of Turkey a la king on noodles and mixed veggies. Grapes for dessert. This is really scaring me. He seems to be disappearing right before my eyes. I am turning into that funny southern woman on YouTube who makes all the super fattening food starting with a stick of butter.
We have been hit with an atmospheric river. Torrential non-stop rain. What is happening?
Sandy: beautiful and calming Christmas decor. I seem to be decorating for kindergarten children. Toys and Santa’s etc. I love the beautiful calm of your Christmas condo. Lovely family plans in the works for you. Robby looked and sang so well. He is really growing up to be a handsome young guy.
Lin: I have a heated throw and believe me, it is heaven. I ease it around my shoulders and neck in the mornings as I sip my morning coffee. Very cozy! John and I have upon occasion spent Christmas just the two of us. It really was quite special. In fact, with lovely music, a yummy dinner, a couple of family phone calls, maybe a fun movie, small gifts that we bought each other or ourselves and a large helping of Christmas spirit…perfect! Our son has had to do the same upon occasion as well. I suggest another throw to have at your reading chair and one in your bedroom. Give yourself a warm Christmas gift.
Anne: technology is a gift from the devil! It is designed to drive you wickedly insane! You would not believe the words coming from my mouth aimed at my computer. Scary nasty words! Welcome back! Jilly is adorable as usual.
Jackie: cooking to fatten up a person is such an unusual thing. I have tried for years to cut fats and calories where ever I could. And now a change that is the opposite of my long held Philosophy. I think John’s pituitary gland has shifted into high gear unexpectedly. If not that, some other body function gland is out of whack. After Christmas we will search out a specialist.
Tonight we will watch the Grinch (cartoon version) and Charlie Browns Christmas tree. Two of my favorites. John might opt for fiddling with his wood stove and putting away all the tools he got out during the stove pipe project. Any bets on that?
Our holly tree does not have any red berries this year….? Do trees get Covid?
Patsy🍀🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄

PATSY, Funny you should mention that about the berries because my holly bush has very few this year as well. Warmer winters? Sorry to keep poking my nose in but I can hardly believe I'm back.

Oh my goodness Patsy, your delightful coffee table in my house wouldn’t last 5 minutes without either a naughty Irish cat sitting in the middle or Miss Podge, Betty knocking it for six as she searched for the tasty treat with her name on it!
Goodnight! Midnight so off to bed. 🛌 😴
Jackie0 -
A quick good morning and to say PATSY what a wonderful cosy looking room! The perfect room for a nap after Christmas dinner. Don't forget a glass of Irish whiskey.
Anne.0 -
Patsy, what a beautiful room. ❤️ I love your decorations. It must be a very comfortable space for relaxing.
Hello Anne, Sandy and Jackie.
I have errands today.
Lin🙋🏼♀️
❤️❤️0 -
Happy Monday! A nice sunny day with warmer temps. I just called Joe to set up a lunch for next Monday. I ordered him a care blanket that I think he will love, at least I hope so. My friend's DIL's mother died so I will be going to a wake and funeral Thursday and Friday. I sit tomorrow and Wednesday and Robby has another play on Wednesday night. Friday afternoon I am going for a no chip manicure and Saturday to Bryanna's school to get my hair done. I also have to get some groceries and order the appetizers to be made for Christmas eve. Busy times and although I love Christmas will be glad when it is over.
Patsy, I too, love your room especially the picture I think is of Katie on your table. It could be one of your sheepdogs so set me straight. When I lived with Babe I went all out for Christmas, I had decorations everywhere. My grandkids were young then and they enjoyed it all. I even did my own outside which I loved. Fast forward to today and no one really comes here for the holidays so I keep it simple.
Bryanna is supposed to come clean my house but she usually doesn't come until afternoon so we will see. Other than that and getting my cards either to the post office or my mailman if he will take them nothing else is going on today.
Have a good day.
Sandy

Hello sneakers! Wow! Time is running by faster and faster. As for my decorations, I do love them and I have a tremendous amount that will stay packed up. The photos on the side table are MpMo and Mazzie is there too. I love our dogs, past and present. I often feel their presence still. I know that may sound weird but I know animals have a spirit. John feels it too. He has said as much.
We are still under our famous atmospheric river. Rain and dark, clouds. I am in great need of Christmas lights and happy music. Today I am listening to Vivaldi. Always a good choice.
Sandy: I have to put coloring on my hair again but here is a very sad thing. The color I have been using has been changed. I liked this color because it wasn’t too startling and blended nicely with my salt and pepper grey. My mom used to say we were black Irish. Dark hair and dark freckles on milk white skin. We are polka-dot people! I love your busy holiday activities.
Anne: yes! Grand idea! A snifter of good Irish whiskey and a nibble of cheese and a couple of cold water crackers. Christmas! Come join us, sneakers, one and all!
Jackie: Katie has throughly investigated the Santa tea party. There is doggie slobber on all the little tea set pieces. Even the candle has been examined.
Lin: out and about! I have an errand list that is just staring at me. Must get to it soon.
Turn on happiness before it is too late!
Patsy☘️🐕🦴🎶🎶🎶🎶

Wouldn’t that be wonderful Patsy… everyone over to your place. I know I would feel so comfortable I would pad about in stockinged feet smiling at Katie’s slobber as we all natter about every subject under the sun!
A rushed morning because I had an early hair appointment and that means driving to the next town, Bodmin. Tamsin’s next customer had cancelled so we had time to relax while she cut my hair into a bit of a Bob. The red streaks she added a couple of months ago still run through but I’m aware more grey is now showing so the question is should I grow old gracefully? This is it, together with scraggy neck and what I refer to as an age spot but the Dermatologist insisted I should name solar lentigines. As if I’m going to remember that.
Battery dying!

Good afternoon. Several errands accomplished today but many more still on the list. Wow, it is busy out there. It was just too busy for me to feel comfortable shopping inside the stores. The weather is too nice apparently bringing out lots of people to grocery stores, drug stores and the shopping area near the post office.
I am packing up the trash now to put out at the curb for morning pickup. I will crush the boxes another day. The recycling will not be picked up tomorrow.
In amongst all this stuff, I got an idea for next year’s Christmas card and die cut several things to see if they would work together in terms of scale. I am not convinced but I guess I have some time to work on it. 😂 I punched out loads of hearts in several colors with the paper that was on the way to being tossed. I thought it would be nice to have lots of shapes to work with but oh my, with strong sunshine, I found out the paper really is not at all good. The color does not go through to the core. All the edges are white rather than pink or red, etc. Not good. I would need to find some method to disguise all those white edges which would take forever! I do not think trying to save that paper is worth it.
Jackie, what do you think you will do with your hair? Add more pink? Or go wild with another color altogether? A lady at church changes her color each time she has her hair done. My favorites so far have been blue and purple. Pink was 3rd! 😃😄😃I like your haircut. 👍🏻👍🏻 Oh, and I found the package. I was lucky, the wind was so strong it could have been blown into the next steeet!
Patsy, I thought of you today as I drove about listening (and singing along) to Christmas music. It was lovely. I have always been addicted to singing in the car. One reason, in a long list, contributing to divorce! Changes to product such as hair color are unwelcome when we get in a routine and are used to seeing the same color at the end right? I never did my own, I had the color done at the hairdresser but they changed the formulation and suddenly I was allergic to it with a burning head and red bumps on my scalp. I immediately decided to live with whatever hair I had on my head of whatever color.
Sandy, good grief! You will be running continually from now until Christmas. 🙃
Anne, are you having a quiet day? How’s the Bean? I am suffering from a lack of birdies. A big black cat showed up and stalked along the top of my fence. I have not had a bird come to visit since then. They used to hop around on the fence, fly over to perch on the deck railing and play in the pine tree. Even the squirrels are not showing up as often. I am somewhat upset with that cat!
I have nothing to show from my house but I did see this Thelwell cartoon. They always make me laugh.
And another teapot
Be safe everyone. Wishing us all good health and much happiness.

Sort of a quiet day yesterday as Mark cut out one side of wood for the stair skirting board. Had to be measured carefully and he sawed outside it being another mild day. Cooler today. I have to book an appointment for Jilly at the vets soon for the dreaded nail cut and yearly check. Then she should be ready for Christmas or lockdown whichever comes first!
Hair, Michael says mine at the back is now a "soft grey". Whatever. thats how it will remain! I suspect soft grey will suit my aged years the best because my skin tone blends in with that tone now! Mind you, I do admire all you brave souls having a whole heap of fun. It's something I've never ventured into because I once was quite happy with my natural tone. My mom kept her strawberry blonde all of her life, but I've not been so lucky. Anyway my eyesight is not so good now and you could say ignorance is bliss. Have fun JACKIE and PATSY and brighten all our days with pink, purple, whatever say I. Red and Gold for Christmas?
Addicted to singing in the car LIN considered a FAULT! My goodness, me as well! I suppose I was a bit annoying with my lack of a singing voice, but it sure beat driving in stony silence!
Thankfully, Jilly doesn't object when I break forth here occasionally. We are compatible because I don't object when she loudly yaps at passing squirrels, dog, etc.
I have to phone the vet at 8:00 to be sure of getting an appointment so must away, but SANDY please don't wear yourself out before the big day!!
Anne.
PS. Appointment made for Friday at 11:30. Poor Bean!

Hello!
I will be leaving soon to try to finish the errands I skipped yesterday due to full parking lots. 🤞🏻

Hope to see you all later.

Happy Tuesday! Another nice day with the sun shining, always good to see. Nothing going on but will be sitting later this afternoon. I got my errands done yesterday and had my car washed so I am sure it will rain this week.
Lin, good luck getting your errands done, it takes time to get it all done. I decided I need to go back and get two more slabs of ribs but will probably do that Thursday after my meeting and before the wake. I also hate going in the stores that are crowded but sometimes it is necessary.
Anne, a soft gray sounds beautiful. I sometimes think of adding a different color to my highlighting but I am chicken. I only use blonde and only highlight to add body to my very limp hair. I know it is hard for you to take Jilly in to vet, but very necessary and she will be all done for Christmas.
Jackie, I keep trying to get my hair in a bob but then when I wear it down over my ears I think it looks weird. I push my hair behind my ears and now I am thinking of cutting it shorter again. You look great with a touch of pink and I wish I had the courage to do that. Your hair looks great.
Patsy, I thought that might be one of the sheepdogs so thank you for clarifying. According to Bryanna I don't have any gray hair so I must take after my father. I do hate my hair though It is fine and straight.
Time to eat something and get ready for my day. I spend too much time on the computer. lol
Have a good and safe day.

A quiet day although a healthy long walk on the moors. On the way home I stopped at the little post office perched on top of the moor to post a parcel but they were closed so that the owners could attend a funeral. The pub car park was filling up and dozens pouring into the place so I assume that’s where the wake was to be held. Not a mask in sight! 🙄😳
I’ve chopped a few logs into smaller, manageable pieces and chopped kindling as well as ordering more fuel to be delivered Thursday so that should all get me through to the New Year.
Dan phoned to let me know he will be here tomorrow to start the trellis construction and that’s about all today. Pasta and salad for my easy option evening meal then I might string a few fairy lights across the ceiling!
Loved the Thelwell cartoon Lin, especially Santa’s expression! 😆. My hair will probably receive a few fresh streaks of pink once the current colour fades but generally let the grey stay. That’s unless we go into lockdown again because I have a spare box of the bright pink all over hair colour I used last year tucked away in the bathroom cabinet!
Last night I read your post with the peppermint teapot picture and had a dream that a couple of men I didn’t know were helping themselves to my supply. It was all quite amicable but what a strange dream!
Sandy’s plans have left me feeling exhausted just thinking about them!
Washing George’s feet after our walk, I checked his claws and saw they need to be clipped so I might attempt that job tomorrow.
George and Betty are snoozing after their evening kibble so time to cook my pasta.
Jackie 🥰

Sunny-rainy-hail-chilly day here. It is a surprise kind of day. However I am dressed, it is wrong! You know I am convinced there really is a Santa. That would explain all of the special kindnesses that people are driven to express. Out of nowhere, people will suddenly feel compelled to do something nice and generous. No other time of the year reveals such generosity. Where did that come from? Santa and the spirit of Christmas. No other explanation!
I made slow cooked oatmeal with raisins and apples. I think John is adding cream to his oatmeal. To accommodate his incredible metabolism we have to add calories where ever possible. He is stalling on going in for a series of tests on this. Our hospital is full of Covid and delta and spectated new variant. He will just eat more for the time being. You’d never guess this would be a burden.
I have a few tasks in the works right nkw, so I will be back later to chat more.

Back home. I did get to both the drugstore and Whole Foods and the number of people in each were reasonable. BUT, shelves were pretty bare, for the things I wanted. The grocery store close to me has discount day tomorrow and I also have a little gift card. We will see. We are expecting horrendous winds tomorrow and some rural schools are already cancelling school tomorrow as they are afraid the buses may tip over in the wind. Storms are also expected in the evening.
Sandy, well thanks for doing the car wash rain dance. 😂 as long as it doesn’t bring snow! Have fun with the kiddos this afternoon. I come from family (both sides) with gray or white hair. I didn’t have a chance. My mom had relatively dark brown hair and was horrified when she started to get some white hair. Her mom had perfectly white hair, nary a brown hair survived. That scared her so she had her hair dyed for years. My dad didn’t care for it but that wasn’t a battle he was going to win. As her health got worse, she finally could not sit in the chair at the beauty shop for long so her hair ended up a mix of brown and white. Actually quite a bit of brown, she called it salt and pepper. But no one in the family whose hair didn’t turn some other color, or for the men, bald spots or being completely bald.
Jackie, yipes, nail trimming! Oh George, do some meditating so you can be Zen tomorrow. Good job getting stocked up on fuel! For a different type of fuel, I thought about topping up my car’s tank while I was out but decided it really wouldn’t take much fuel so not worth the trip to the station. I am sure I will feel different about it when it’s below zero and I have to stand out there and pump gas! Sorry the post office was closed. And I hope the trellis construction goes well. 🤞🏻 Yipes what a dream, men stealing your peppermint. Horror movie!
Anne, is Mark working at your house today? My eyesight is really not good. I don’t think being online all the time is helping my eyes at all.
Hi Patsy, did I miss your post again? Hope you and John and Katie are well.
