Hello, a dusting of snow today and colder weather. I went out for my mail when the sun was out this afternoon. It was nice.

Made no progress on cards today. Did a bit of stamping that may turn into birthday cards for March. I am watching the new Bridget Jones movie. I got several free months of Apple + TV with my new phone. I finally signed up and watched all the seasons of Ted Lasso. Oh, and several of the old Charlie Brown and Snoopy programs.

Sandy, I hope you got to church today. Spring would be nice though. ❤️

    Take care everyone.

There was thick fog this morning but that’s because the freezing wind has gone so the temperature is creeping up. I’ve got into a routine with Betty and her 3 daily meals, steroids administered in cream cheese and extra protein in powder form. George was walked round the block again but it should be dry and sunny tomorrow so I’ll give him a run on the moors. I did a few chores then made a chicken casserole using a few pieces originally purchased for Betty. My school friend had messaged to arrange a phone catch up this afternoon so knowing how we chat for a couple of hours, timed the oven on a slow, low heat to be ready when we finished! It was delicious!

Sandy, if I think about it, I can’t believe I’m 76 and the way time is flying by, I’ll soon catch up with you.😄 My school friend is just a couple of years younger but has a few health issues that can restrict her so I do count my blessings. From the way he lives, I don’t think David has been married but you would have to meet him to understand why I know so little about his life! I hope you managed to defeat the snow and get to church.

Lin, your card making commitment is epic! I loved the Valentines teapot too. Betty still won’t eat the tinned food the vet wanted her on but likes the alternative hyper allergenic sachets I found at the pet store. More snow? Keep safe and warm.

    Bedtime for me.

The sun is out but it’s freezing again. I managed to launder a load and hang out to dry then walked George on the moors but the wind was cutting so we didn’t stay long. Definitely not a day for gardening so I’ve had a quiet time pottering and also researching telephone and broadband packages for David who wants me to visit and go through options with him. I’ve a busy few days coming up with a coffee morning tomorrow with Linda, George’s groomer visiting on Tuesday and a gardener Wednesday to trim trees so will have to fit that in between. I managed to shower George because he picked up a lot of dirt when we walked, then put my hairdryer on him to keep him from getting cold until his coat dried. It is very dense so holds on to water if I don’t.
Betty is nudging my knee, asking for her supper and I must eat too so I wish you all a happy Sunday.

Happy Sunday! :) Got up early to go listen to my son speak at his meeting, then went back to his house until we left for the movie. It was very cute, a kids movie called Dog Man. We ate lots of junk at the
movie and I went home when we got back to Rob's house. It was a fun family day and I would like to do it again. I have nothing as of yet, for the next two days and I welcome staying home before my trial appointment on Wednesday. I did go to church yesterday even though the weather was fine Cheryl went with me to church and picked me up, then we met Marisa for dinner. Today is the 2nd year of Babe's death and we went to honor him at his favorite restaurant. It was a nice dinner and I appreciated their company.

Jackie, this cold weather is just awful. I know I live near Chicago and should expect cold winters but that doesn't mean I like them. I am sure George appreciates that warm hair dryer to keep him dry. Busy days for you this week, it is good to keep active but does get tiring. I too, am grateful for good health. I have others my age and younger who are in bad health so I really try to take care of myself.

Lin, who did you go with for your new phone service? I am with TMobile and get lots of perks with them.
I get Netflix at a bargain price along with Apple TV and Hulu (with ads). One of these days I will upgrade my phone, I have a iPhone 13 plus but it is paid for so not monthly charges except for my service.

    Have a good day.

Hi! Watching SNL50 anniversary special red carpet. Will probably watch some of the actual show.

Watched online church today, got some cardio classes. Started working on St. Patrick’s Say cards as I finally have an idea. Of course I decided on something that will take forever. 🤭 I also need to do some coloring for the birthday cards (stamping finished). Having some problems with inking these shamrock stamps. The ink is not sticking to them. Well, things never go easily right?

I didn’t sleep well last night so I don’t know how late I will stay up to watch some of these programs. I missed the SNL concert on Friday night.

Cold and colder over the next few days. Good to stay indoors.

Sandy, glad you had a good time. I don’t know any of the details about Dog Man, will have to look it up. I have a no contract phone plan so no real extras. I have been with them (Straight Talk) since I purchased my first iPhone. They have changed over the years but they are now a totally unlimited plan which is a nice change from the old restrictive days. All we get is a points accumulation each month and there are things to purchase but I usually save my points and get a month of free service. They don’t have their own network so we are running on the Verizon towers and infrastructure I’ve heard. As long as it works, I am fine with it.

Jackie, busy days ahead for you my friend. And very nice of you to do all of that research for David. That takes a lot of time. I put off my laundry today and will probably do some tomorrow. Glad Betty appears to be doing better. ❤️❤️ I hope your week goes well by the way.

    Time to move along.

    Be safe my friends.

:)Sandy, My phone is from T Mobile. We chose them because they have a local store. We live in a small town so not all carriers have a local office. Jake had an iphone because his daughter and others said they were the best. He never really learned how to use all the features and I couldn't help because I have an android Galaxy. He also never went back to the store for help. I'm sure there are cheaper plans or cheaper carriers, but I like the consistency of the same company.

:) The snow is gone for and the rain has started mostly drizzle so far. Annie doesn't like walking outside in less than optimum weather and when the weather isn't good, there are few people or dogs walking.

:) A friend in California recently renewed her driver's license but since she is over 80, it was only for two years, but no written or driving test required. This is one of those "states rights" things that is wildly inconsistent depending on where you live.

Happy Monday! :) Very cold out so staying in. I am playing catchup on my computer. Trying to get the pictures off my phone onto my computer but I think I messed it all up but will figure it out. Nothing much else going on.

Barbie, I love T-Mobile and love their senior discount. I still have Bryanna on my account but our phones are paid so she is going to get her own account. I will be interested in this when she does. T-Mobile's Essentials Choice 55 plan costs $45 per month for one line. It includes unlimited talk, text, and 5G data, plus other features. I hope you are getting a discount as well.

Lin, Dog Man is of course a kids movie but it was cute. Without giving away the movie all I will tell you is eventually there is a part man's body with a dog's head. It sounds gross but it is very cute.

I am so far behind, I better eat my breakfast before it is lunch time. lol Have a good day.

    Good super cold evening. 🥶🥶

I have very little trash this week so I am going to wait to put it out. Next week is soon enough. I ran my car for about 20 minutes this afternoon. It was well warmed up by the time I shut it off.

Sandy, I looked up Dog Man today. I found out it will be on Peacock streaming later this year. I may watch it then.

Enjoy your time indoors during this cold snap.

My mobile phone is $45 + tax each month. One of my friends switched to Mint mobile for a lower price. He has had many problems with the service though.

Barbie, there are likely many features on my iPhone that I don’t use fully. But I am happy with it.

    Stay safe everyone.

:) When I was a child, we had a set of encyclopedias. I loved to look for information. Now I use my phone to get my questions answered.

All is good with me but on the move a lot of the time. Without warning yesterday a gang of workers arrived on our track to cut back trees that have been growing into electricity supply cables so I had to squeeze past with George for our walk. They were using a cherry picker and huge shredder to chop up the branches and material was flying everywhere. I was supposed to pick up Linda to drive somewhere for coffee but phoned to ask if she could use her vehicle because it would have taken time for the men to clear the mess and heavy equipment out of my way. We went to one of our favourite garden centres and sat outside the coffee shop with supplied blankets over our knees but although it was a sheltered spot, we struggled to keep warm! We did look at available plants but they are very expensive and I couldn’t imagine working outside until the awful freezing wind disappears!
George’s groomer visited today and didn’t recognise Betty. She thought I had adopted another Pug so when I told her about her illness, was upset to see her looking so frail. George’s Winter coat was trimmed but not too much until it warms up and we did manage to trim a few of Betty’s claws. I have 2 new jigsaws to work on, courtesy of Deb’s mother and the sorter dishes ordered through EBay have arrived so I’m all set, once I finish the difficult round puzzle that keeps being put out of the way, then back out!
Tomorrow the gardener is booked, just in time because the wild birds are planning their nests, and Thursday I have agreed to visit David to assist him in changing his telephone and broadband supplier.
We have comparison websites to check reviews as well as prices and my plan is to let him look through the options and make his own mind up. I bought my iPhone about 4 years ago and only pay £6.99 monthly for unlimited text messages, phone calls and internet. My home landline phone and broadband is £32.00 monthly but I’m considering cancelling the phone half of that agreement.

Anne sent a photo of a freezing Mark after clearing his drive. I’m sure she won’t mind me sharing with sneakers.

    Enjoy your quiet time Sandy.

Lin, amazing you are still finding the prettiest teapots!

Barbie, my father joined a book club when I was a child and one offer was the annual Britannica Encyclopaedia that I loved to regularly look through. My brother inherited them, which reminds me I must ask if he’s still got them on his bookshelves.

Time for me to think about an evening meal. Probably an omelette.
    Take care and keep warm.

Good evening. More cold weather today and for the remainder of the week. I did some die cutting today and corresponded with a friend who gave me some recommendations of things to watch on Apple TV in my short free viewing time. I know Severance is not something I want to watch. She really likes it but we have different tastes.

Watching the Tuesday evening live presentation on YouTube. I am way behind in viewing content from my favorite card makers. Will I ever catch up?

Barbie and Jackie, we got a set of encyclopedias when I was young. I used them for research on papers often. We didn’t live near the library so they came in handy.

Sandy, I hope it warms up in the Chicago area soon. I went out to hunt for my mail this evening around 6;30 pm and I was coughing from the cold air with a couple of minutes. And the mail had not been delivered today.

Jackie, wow, you are having a busy week.

Thanks for sharing the photo of Mark.

    Must run along.

Happy Wednesday! :) Another cold day but I have a eye trial appointment. At lease I don't have to drive as they send a car for me. I have another in June and I hope soon it will be over although the doctor said they check up to two years or so. Ugh.

Lin, I haven't been out of my house since Sunday but will be out today. Sorry you went to the mail box for nothing, frustrating isn't it?

Jackie, what a mess with the tree cleaning service. I hope they finished it all yesterday. Wow, Anne really had a lot of snow in Canada. I thought Michael lived in a condo, our association clears all our driveways.
Your phone service seems like really good price including your land line.

    Have a great day everyone.
